Beautiful property with great amenities, pool, and easy access to the beach. Spacious house with nice kitchen appliances, outdoor sitting areas, and responsive owner. Perfect for a group trip or family vacation.

11 Bliss Ln. is a beautiful property. Perfect for the fellas on a golf trip. Has all the amenities that we needed including a pool and a short walk to the beach. We will be back next year!

As advertised, this is a great big house right next to the beach with a good sized pool. We came in February and were able to swim with the heater on.
The waves come up to the beach access stairs, but it was possible to get out to the sand between the tidepool and the rocks most of the time, even high tide.

The house is very nice and spacious. The kitchen is well stocked. Nice appliances, coffee maker, keurig, blender. Plenty of pots, pans, dishes to cook any type meal. Pool/beach toys in the garage.
The pool is very large for a typical rental. Nice patios and porches for outdoor sitting.
The owner is very responsive.
I would definitely stay here again. Lots of games, puzzles and books for a rainy day.
A few things to mention: the beach access next to the property is currently closed and there is about a 3 minute walk to the beach. During high tide there is NO beach. The water comes completely to the rock sea wall. There is no view of the ocean anywhere from the house. It is completely obscured by the trees.
Some of the bedding is tired and could stand refreshing and updating.
But….. we had a great time.

This lovely house was everything we were looking for in a place for 8 friends to celebrate some big life milestones. The house is comfortable, arranged to provide private space AND room to gather, and nicely furnished. We were pleasantly surprised how QUIET it was - not just the neighborhood but also the bedrooms, even if people were still downstairs.
Kitchen was big enough for most of us to be in at same time and had more than just the bare minimum of cooking items. Pool is bigger than it looks in the pictures, backyard was visited daily by deer! Garage has some pool toys and an extra fridge if you're feeding an army. The nearest beach access was still being repaired, but a short walk to the next street meant we spent time every morning walking (be sure to check the tide charts!).
Property manager was very responsive to our questions ahead of trip and a couple that came up during. Great space for a group of friends, but would also be suitable for extended family to stay together.

Our youngest son’s wedding was at Great Dunes pavilion. Part of the family stayed at the house and the others were able to come and go as they pleased. Then after the wedding, we were able to relax and have family and “new famil” drop in to visit. Just perfect! And ohhhh the pool! And the deer!

Nice spacious oceanfront home for golf buddies was perfect. Sleeps an eightsome just right. Disappointing there is no ocean view and the immediate beach access was closed. Other than that - we will rent this property again.

Six bedroom house accommodated three families with kids very well. Enclosed sunroom is fabulous. Although it was too cold for us to use the pool, the pool is huge! Much larger than usually found with vrbo homes. Although houses in neighborhood are close the neighborhood is very quiet.

Excellent property for hosting other families—spacious and the pool was entertaining for the kids. We were excited to see the bicycles in the garage but they were locked. Basic kitchen supplies and toilet paper were sparse. This is a well used, tired place.

We had a great week at this house and I'd come back for sure. We normally do Fripp every year and picked this for a change of pace. We spent hours in the pool every day. The beach access is perfect and we had deer in the yard all hours of the day. Jimmy is great and very responsive.

We enjoyed our time very much.
We have stayed at this home several times. The home is very nice and the location provides very easy access to the beach. The property manager was very responsive to our questions and a minor issue.

Family Vacation
Our family of 12 adults and a 2.5 year old loved our stay. There was plenty of room for all of us. We spent a lot of time in the pool at high tide. It was definitely worth the cost to have it heated. We needed more towels and Jimmy delivered them the day I asked for them. Our only suggestion is to add mirrors to the bedrooms so that people that are sharing a bathroom can get ready in their room. We loved the daily visits from the deer in the backyard.

Pool and beach proximity a big plus. Note that the wooden walkway over the rocks is now complete and open.

Relaxing getaway
The property is located in a quiet neighborhood. It's surrounded by protected vegetation that allows wildlife to roam freely. This will give you a very unique opportunity to observe deer very closely. We were fascinated by this. The house is comfortable. The kitchen is properly stocked with everything you might need. We cooked our meals the whole time we were there, and didn't have to go out at all. The bedrooms are spacious, I would suggest checking on the pillows. Plenty of towels and plenty of areas to sit, read, and relax. Our biggest disappointment was the beach. You can hear the ocean, you can't see it and you can't access it from the property. You have to go out of the neighborhood to get to a public beach access that doesn't have a parking area. We never made it to the beach! Our interaction with Jimmy was perfect, he is very accomodating and quick to respond and provide information. That is a plus. The house is beautiful but needs some serious TLC. The cleaning is not superb, some attention to detail will give this property another star, which in reality; deserves it. The same goes for yard maintenance. We saw the crew come by, and work, but it's not something' that will allow this property to shine. Without those details that can be easily addressed, this property was perfect for outstanding r&r much needed during these hard times that the whole wide world is experiencing. Thank you Jimmy for helping us achieve this!

Had a great time! Pictures did not do property justice!
We did forget little things like trash bags, paper towels ;) and kitchen could have had dish towels, but other then that it was a great home for our family!

Jekyll Island 2019
The property was a great size for our large group with plenty of room to spread out. The pool was great and we used it every day. The only down side was the access to the beach, if you were younger than 12 or older than 40 or were carrying anything it was very hard to use. It was easier just to load up and go to a public access, so we were disappointed in that. But we adjusted and had a great week. Jimmy was great and got back to us quickly with all our questions. A successful, relaxing week. We went inlet fishing with Bracewell Charters too and that was great, he is a super Captain!

Family Beach Trip
Our extended family stayed at this house for a week. The house is very spacious and well maintained. The kitchen was stocked with everything that we needed to cook meals for a large group. The pool was great! The only suggestion would be to install a hand rail on the steps leading into the pool . We have an elderly family member who used the pool every day and had difficulty getting in and out of the pool since there was not a handrail. Jekyll Island is low key and was a great place for a quiet, relaxing family vacation!

Family Vacation
We had a wonderful time at this house. It was spacious with room for all 12 of us. We had the pool heated and it was totally worth it. Our family had never been to Jekyll Island and we loved it. Jimmy was immediately responsive to any question and very helpful.

Very spacious, well stocked home with pool
Beachview cottage was perfect for our large family. Not only does it sleep 14 comfortably but the dining, family, and living rooms are very spacious so there is plenty of room for everyone to spend time together. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking--appliances, utensils, pots, pans, etc. The only (minor) problem was a slight shortage of spoons. We opted to pay for the pool heating and the kids enjoyed the pool every day. The pool toys and four bikes were also very nice to have. There is no direct access to the beach from the house, but the closest access bridge is only a short block away. Jimmy was very helpful and responded to my inquiries quickly. I would highly recommend this house for large groups such as ours. We really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful house for family vacation!
This house was perfect for my family of 13 (myself and husband, 3 adult kids and spouses, and 5 grandchildren (ages 3-8). We had never been to Jekyll Island before and found it to be intriguingly beautiful. The kitchen was fairly well equipped with cookware. The pool was wonderful but we did pay to have it heated, otherwise would have been too cold. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of room for our 4 cars. We had a minor plumbing issue tended to by the very nice property manager who responded quickly. There are a few recommendations which I would have for future guests:
1) if you have children, bring pool toys - rafts, etc, because there are none there
2) Also bring some indoor toys for a rainy day. There are a few puzzles, not much else for kids to play with inside.
3) THERE IS NO BEACH ACCESS FROM THE HOUSE OR YARD! This was my biggest disappointment, because the VRBO description states twice that there is beach access. The beach is beautiful, but if you take the path leading from the backyard, you will reach a large rock wall which is not easily climbed! There is an access boardwalk to the beach one block north of the house but the steps up and down are long and steep - not easy to tote young kids, beach chairs, picnic lunches, toys, etc. There are a few terrific beaches within a few minute drive that have much easier access. I was just disappointed that I couldn't easily get from the house to the beach. The description is very misleading.
4) Make sure you bring as many food staples with you as you can. The Jekyll Market is a fine little market but very expensive for basic things.
5) There is NO PHARMACY on the island. My grandson got an ear infection and the nearest pharmacy to get antibiotics is on St. Simons Island.
6) if you don't plan to leave the island, don't waste your money on a full week parking pass. My kids all paid for a 1 week parking pass and one of them left the island once, the others never left at all. That was $ needlessly spent.
7) You are not permitted on the golf courses before 8 AM even though the sun rises long before that time.
8) Turtle sanctuary is great, the jitney tours on the Jekyll Island Club property are great, mini golf course very basic but fun for kids, all nearby.
9) Bring a few extra bath towels. We had enough but barely.
There were some minor items in disrepair but all in all, this was a perfect family vacation property.

Spacious yet cozy beautiful beachside stay!
We had 5 adult couples staying 4 days at this home and all of us had a wonderful experience! The home is welcoming, beautifully decorated, and spacious. Everyone commented how comfortable the beds were and the sheets are super soft! Plenty of sitting areas, indoor and out. We loved to sit outside and listen to the sound of the surf! Jekyll is a great island for bike riding and this home is very convenient to do so. Separate zoned thermostats make every room comfortable. TV/cable access was great for watching Olympics! We definitely plan to book for next year’s trip too!

Great Family Vacation!
This house suited the needs of a group of 16! Well equipped kitchen and lots of room for everyone to spread out. Owners were very responsive when we needed some more bathroom towels. It was really fun to see all the deer in the yard - they visited daily! I would recommend this rental for a large family!

Good house for large crowd.
Nice house but needs some maintenance. Great pool for a hot July. 2 disappointments: beach front does not mean beach view. The growth on the dunes has taken over. Secondly the private beach access means climbing over huge rock holders which is really hard for older people. Owners responded quickly to any of our questions.

Atlanta Retreat for Wedding
What an amazing HOME! I was so excited to find a renovated home that was large enough to hold my extended family from Atlanta for my wedding. We all stayed comfortable in this home and enjoyed the entertaining space and our private walk down to the beach. I'm so excited for the renovations, we are booking this for the spring to do an anniversary gathering with all our friends.

Perfect house for our family reunion!
We enjoyed staying at this house for a family reunion/vacation. We had 14 people and there was plenty of space. There were enough bedrooms and bathrooms for all of us and the large dining room table was perfect for our big family meals. The pool was awesome and it was just a short walk to the beach. Everything we needed was there for us, including towels and linens. Most importantly, Jimmy was accessible and helpful. We accidentally left a bag of contacts behind in the bathroom, and he went over himself to look for it for us. Thanks for a great vacation!
