A few words about the property
"Kamari" in greek means "Pride".
Kamari Villa was built in 2007 on the South West coast of Naxos, Island of Apollo and Ariadne.
The villa is 18 km away from Naxos town ( Chora ), approximately 20-25 min. drive on the main road.
In the middle of a 4000 m2 property (half of which is planted with Olive trees), the house is only 150m away from a 3 km beach , (extending all the way to Mikri Vigla).
The traditional Greek island element, that can be sensed straight away by the visitor, is enhanced by the presence of an 17th century white Chapel, that luckily exists inside the property. The owner has made sure that the little dream like church has it's own entrance and stone built back yard where ceremonies can take place.
The only natural boundary separating the villa from the shore, is a beautiful salt lake (Aliki). Many different species of birds use the lake as a shelter, making the landscape even more unique.
The cedar forest of the greater area is well known as one of the biggest and most interesting in Europe and tourists all over the world visit this natural attraction of almost 800000 square meters, just to enjoy the view of trees coming out of the sand. Due to this forest, the whole area is protected by EU Natura 2000 program, as a wild life shelter and therefore, hunting and free camping is forbidden all year long.
Although, just a few miles away from the most touristic beaches of Naxos ( Ag. Prokopios, Ag. Anna, Plaka, etc. ), Kamari Villa is located in one of the most peaceful, quiet and private areas of the South coast, where the guest has the luxury of totally relaxing, living in nature, without missing out on any of the contemporary comforts.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that in many cases, one could enjoy a morning or late evening swim in the beach in front of the villa, completely by themselves…
Moreover, the guest has access to quite a few other beaches in walking distances (500m-1.5 km), varying from private little bays surrounded by rocks, to long sandy beaches next to the cedar forest.
Kamari Villa was built according to the rules of Cycladic architecture and was decorated by the owner himself in a minimal style that is inspired by the old, traditional houses, found in two of the most beautiful and historical mountain villages of Naxos: Apiranthos and Filoti (the village that the owner originates from).
The Villa consists of 3 separate two room apartments , 1 huge shared living room, 1 playing room, 1 little warehouse, 2 large closed verandas and 1 big terrace covered with pergola on the ground floor, 2 covered balconies and 1 open air terrace on the 1st floor.
The different verandas, balconies and terraces offer a truly breathtaking view of the sunset, the Aegean sea, the salt lake and the island of Paros, right opposite to where the property is, making the whole living experience, simply unforgettable .
All areas (400 sq. meters in total) are available and can be used by the guests.
Each one of the three apartments (2 of them on the 1st floor and 1 on the ground floor), has its own entrance and consists of a large bedroom w/ queen size double beds, one bathroom w/shower and one studio room with fully equipped kitchen and additional single, bunk or sofa beds.
The 1st floor apartments have got their own private balconies.
The main living room (80 sq. meters) has also got a separate bathroom, a fully equiped kitchen with pass and access to 3 different verandas, one of which can be used as an outdoor dining room.
There is also an indoor dining area, a TV/lounge area and a library/music/chill out area.
The main living room is connected to the upper floor apartments with an indoor staircase.
Finally, in the playing room, located in the basement, guests can enjoy table tennis all day long in a safe environment with a separate bathroom and kitchenette.
Even though, the fresh Northern Cycladic breeze is more than enough to keep the house cool all through the summer, all bedrooms and main living room are fully air conditioned.
Wi-Fi broadband internet is available in all main areas of the villa.
The ground floor apartment and main living room are wheelchair accessible.
The house is equipped with TV sets in every apartment and a Smart 40” TV in the main living room, a mini stereo hi-fi system, blue ray DVD player and of course all indispensible household appliances (Washing machine, dish washing machine, filter coffee and espresso coffee machines, multi blender, water boiler, micro wave oven, 2 electrical ovens, 5 refrigerators etc.).
There is a -large enough for 7 cars- private parking area within the property.
Although we strongly recommend that you rent a car, which will be useful for your daily excursions (Naxos is the biggest Cycladic island and it really takes days if not weeks to explore all its beauties), there is public transportation every hour from 8 am-8 pm and a bus that takes you to Naxos town. A bus stop is right outside the property, on the main road. A very nice market is just 100m away ready to serve your everyday shopping needs and stays open from 8am to 10pm.
The guests can have lunch or dinner at one of the 5 taverns nearby, (2 of which in walking distance), including the famous “Axiotissa” tavern, just 3 min drive from the house, which has been voted by critics as one of the best taverns in Greece.
All restaurants offer delicious traditional dishes (Naxos is well known for its great cuisine) all cooked with fresh Naxian products.
For your everyday needs, there is a mini market, just 150 meters from the house.
The owner is a music writer, orchestrator and record producer, living in Athens and speaks fluent English and adequately good French.
He will be available and more than happy to provide any kind of information needed regarding the house, the area and life in Naxos in general.
He strongly believes that the actual feeling of living in this home cannot be described by words or captured by any photographic lense.

We have spent super holidays in Naxos in this great place. We were 13 people (3 families) with kids, teenagers and young adults. Georges, the owner, is a very nice person. From the moment we have booked the place, we could already text him on WhatsApp and ask anything to start to plan the trip. He was of good help to find car rental and/or scooters and even proposed to check personally at the agency if all was ok before our arrival. He came at the port to pick us up and also to the airport because we arrive on 2 different days. Georges also dropped us at the port at the end of our stay. Georges did everything so we could be at ease the 1st days. He had prepared welcoming drink and cheese, explained what to do in Naxos and was so nice to also bring us some pastries and cakes the day after. The house is very convenient, it is made of 3 studios with their own bathrooms and toilets (and kitchen), a large living room in common with American kitchen so we could leave all together with no space issue, and the view from the living room is just incredible. The house is in front of Paros and very close to a beach where you will see lot of kite surfers. There are several others beaches very close (less than 10 mins with scooter or car) which are the most beautiful of the Island according to me. The house is 25 mins from the airport or 35 mins from the port but there is a minimarket at 100m which is just perfect with everything. You can go there with the eyes closed. Enjoy !

What a beautiful Greek Island Naxos is and this Villa was perfect for us. Watching the sunset from the Villa is a real treat. The Villa had everything we wanted. We love to cook and had everything we needed. The supermarket is a 2 minute walk. Lots of Tavernas nearby too.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this lovely Villa

Mindblowingly spacious house, with equally mindblowing view onto beautiful nature reserve beach. The owner, Giorgos, is superb. If it's winy, go to Alykos beach instead - 20 minute walk, but beautiful and sheltered from northern winds. Also make sure to eat in Axiotissa - exceptional food, honsetly priced. 10 out of 10 all round.

This villa was beautiful, close to the beach, and comfortable /spacious for a large group. George was so helpful. He went above and beyond to make our stay on this beautiful island memorable.

George is simply the best host you can imagine. He’s incredibly friendly and open. He always answers very quickly and has a solution for every problem. This house is a dream, the location is perfect and you are on the beach within 1-2 minutes . The sunsets from the terrace are priceless.
We were there as a group of 14 friends and had an unforgettable time there. We would definitely come back!

Top !!!

We had a great time at George’s.
George was a very welcoming and generous host. He gave a warm welcome and was helpful in getting us settled.
The house has lots of space and was perfect for two (or more) families who want to stay together but still have their own space. The place is not fancy but has all the basics and done nice to have extras. So many beautiful views from the house and incredible beaches right by the house.
The house is a little ways away from the port but if you have a car it’s perfect and it was nice to be away from the big crowds.

Perfect seaside home for families to explore Naxos
Beautiful, comfortable place with all amenities for a comfortable stay. Our group included 13 (4 brothers and sisters and families). The house was comfortable and very large. Perfectly located for exploring beautiful beaches, mountain villages, excellent nearby restaurants and Naxos town. The views from many rooms and decks on the house were fantastic!
George was the perfect host, meeting our group at the airport, showing us many local sites and excellent family run restaurants within walking distance to the house. George was always available to provide recommendations and to answer questions, and to share a few laughs. Without a doubt, George went above and beyond in his hospitality and responsiveness, which helped guarantee an unforgettable experience in Naxos.
We hope to return to Naxos and will definitely stay at George's house again! Great experience.

Merci !

Reviews Fell Short Describing How Good this Property Is
George is a consummate host! He was so generous with his time, advice, and helpfulness getting us adjusted to Naxos. The property was clean and spacious and a great location for privacy. Plenty of room for families and yet can convert easily to a more private setting. Will definitely book again the next time we return to Greece! And Naxos offers a lot too!

We spent one week in this lovely House and the best surprise among all was the typical Naxian hospitality of the Owner.
He welcomed Us with Gruviera from Filoti farmer accompained by chilly passito local wine. The house was clean fully equipped and with an amazing sunset. Last night we enjoyed the gas barbecue in orde to celebrate our greek dream. Arrivederci George!

Exceptional host, enjoyable stay
George's house was amazing. We were three families, 14 people in total and we could easily accommodate another 4 or 5. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. Each family had their own apartment yet we could all cook and dine together in downstairs common area. George was an amazing host to us. Whatever request we had he would do his best to accommodate us. Very friendly, professional, kind. It was a pleasure to meet him and stay at his property. The beach is a short walk down a path from the house, but there are many other great beaches nearby (5-10 min drive). We truly enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend this property.

Perfection on the ocean!
We just spent a week at George's property on Naxos and we all (we were three families) agreed that it was perfect. The pictures are fully accurate. The house is really, really well laid-out to accomodate very comfortably three famillies, with separate bathrooms, bedrooms, etc. and wonderful communal spaces. The views of the ocean are breathtaking and the house really makes the most of them - you see the ocean from almost every room. The location could not be more perfect. It is a very short and pretty walk to the beach with easy car rides to some of the best beaches on the island (5-10 minute drive), amazing restaurants are even within walking distance, and a local, fully-sticked mini-market. With a gaggle of kids and lots of adults, this place was just perfect for our amazing vacation. We cannot recommend it enough.
The host/owner George is super. Very attentive to any need or question before and during the stay. He gave great advice on the island, beaches, places to see and eat, road safety, etc. He really made the stay very easy and comfortable from start (when we got off the ferry) to end (when we returned to the ferry).
We all highly recommend staying at this villa!

Marvellous
We were there the last week of august and it was wonderful. The location is perfect, just in the beach and close to the different services you could need. The house is very comfortable and it has different spaces to be: terraces, a very big living room, play room, and so on.
George Boussounis is a perfect host. He was to the airport to picked us up and helped us with the rent a car, after he gave us all the information we could need, etc.
We spent there an amazing week because of the house, George and Naxos,of course.
Thanks a lot George.

Merci Georges!

We spent a long time researching places to visit and stay for our extended family trip (3 generations) to Greece - and we were so happy we selected Naxos and this villa in particular! The location is beautiful - a bit remote from the busy port and typical tourist areas - but we preferred the quiet beaches and coves, gorgeous sunsets overlooking Paros, and the charm of the Naxos countryside. The local market (5 minute walk) had everything we needed and there are several good restaurants nearby to sample. We definitely didnt need to go into town, except to visit and explore on our own schedule. With a rental car it was easy to head out for day trips of hiking and site seeing. We also took advantage of the kite surfing and snorkeling on the beach right in front of the villa. The home is comfortable, with many rooms and places for everyone to spread out and have some privacy. Yet the common areas are large and we could all eat and hang out together. The kitchen was well stocked (coffee makers and dishwasher were appreciated!). We used the games, puzzle, some beach items. We cooked on the gas grill, and took full advantage of the option to do laundry. The weather was perfect, the sun very warm but with the steady breezes and refreshing Aegean water (amazingly clear and blue!), we rarely felt the need to turn on the AC.We appreciated Georges hospitality, for meeting our ferry at the port and helping get us and our bags delivered to the villa. He provided some local treats and recommendations of things to do/see/eat. He was responsive and made the entire experience personable but professional. Thank you/ ευχαριστώ!

The location is great, close to several restaurants (two very good) and a handy supermarket. The beach is steps away, although maybe 10 minutes to an easy bit to get in and out of. Beautiful views all round. The property is spacious and well kitted out, we had everything we needed, and could easily have accommodated many more than our 8 comfortably. And if theres anything not quite right... the host George is a lovely chap, couldnt be more helpful and generous, and met us at the port to make sure we didnt get lost. Well be back!

Perfect villa for a family of five adults
Our week on Naxos was the beginning of a special trip. I lived in Greece from 1970-75 as a teenager. I had only been back once in 1979. Thirty eight years later I have come back to Greece with my husband, three adult children and their significant others to celebrate my 60th birthday and retirement. I picked Naxos for its size and sustainable lifestyle. I also picked it because I saw the Kamari Villa and knew it would be perfect for us. It was perfect! It was big enough to give everyone space and privacy. The common living spaces were comfortable and homey. The view was phenomenal and the walking distance to the beach was better than any of us expected. The kitchen was really well equipped also. We loved having a ping pong table down in the game room. George is a fantastic host! He welcomed us in true Greek fashion, making us feel at home immediately. He recommended good tavernas for dinner and even joined us one night at one that turned to be our best meal on Naxos! The little church on the property was a beautiful addition which we enjoyed visiting each day.
The market down the street had everything we needed. It's such a convenience to be able to walk to a market for anything you might need.
Thank you George for sharing this villa which played a big part in our family celebration! We now consider you a true family friend. Efharisto poli!

A great destination vacation!
I booked Villa Kamari for a 50th birthday celebration, which I daydreamed about for two years. My dream was to rent a large house, with a spacious living room and a balcony with a beautiful view, where my friends and family can gather to chat, eat, play and relax. At Villa Kamari my dreams were fulfilled! I could not ask for a better house.
We stayed for two weeks from late June to early July. The first week our friends joined us. We were four families. The second week, when my friends left, I got to spend time with my family (of four), my mother, my aunt, my sister and my little nephew.
The house is beautiful, spacious, and is full of modern day accommodations, including AC. The owner George Boussounis is a very gracious and generous host. He was very patient and helpful when our group of twelve descended upon Naxos! He was full of information and attentive to us throughout our stay. He greeted us with delicacies from Naxos upon our arrival and helped us with our lagguages upon our departure.
Naxos Island is beautiful and interesting. The location of Villa Kamari away from the hustle and bustle of the city center was to our liking. The market, the taverns and the beach nearby are very convenient though with our rental cars we were able to explore more throughout our stay.
It was a vacation of a lifetime for me and my family. I highly recommend Villa Kamari!

A Great Place to Stay!
We were a party of 2 couples, so the house was larger than we needed, but we truly appreciated its spaciousness and comfort. The bedroom suites on the upper level are private, roomy, and nicely appointed. The main level is a lovely gathering spot with a comfortable sitting area, large dining table, and functional kitchen. There is a large west-facing deck off the main level with a dining area and adjacent deck space with outdoor lounge furniture where we relaxed to enjoy the sunsets. We happily took advantage of the long stretch of sandy beach just a five-minute walk down the trail leading from the house. The neighborhood market has fresh pastries in the morning, and the three nearby restaurants we sampled were wonderful. George, the property owner, could not have been more accommodating. He was prompt in his responses to all our emails and happy to answer questions. When we arrived in Naxos Town, he met us at the ferry, helped us with our car rental, and led us to the house for a thorough introduction to the property. He was a wealth of information about sites to see, where to eat, and what to do. He was thoroughly enjoyable, and most helpful -- a very generous host. Naxos is a beautiful island with great beaches and hiking, charming hillside villages, and lots of history. We highly recommend Villa Kamari as a great place to stay for enjoying all that Naxos has to offer.

Fantastic Stay!
We were a family of 8; 6 adults and 2 children. This beautiful house worked flawlessly for us. It has 3 separate suites which allowed for everyone to have their own space as each suite is fully self contained. In addition there is a large common area on the main floor where we socialized and ate all our meals together. Each of the suites is comfortable and air conditioned. The main floor kitchen, although small, is well equipped and met all our needs. It would be easy to have 15 people sleeping here as each suite can accommodate 4 people and on the main floor there are 3 day beds that would allow another 3 people to sleep. The main floor has large balconies overlooking the nearby beach and from which you can view amazing sunsets.
George, the owner of the house, is a very nice fellow. He responded quickly to all emails I sent him. On the day of our arrival George met us at the port. After collecting our rental cars he took us to his house which is about 18 kilometres from the port. George was very helpful and answered the many questions we had for him about Naxos. He kept in touch with us to make sure our stay was comfortable. He is a true gentleman.
The location of the house is great. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the port area, but close enough if you must go into town. There are many beautiful beaches within a few minutes drive. Also nearby is a small, but well equipped market, plus several small tavernas.
This was a memorable family holiday for us because of George, his beautiful home and the fantastic weather we had on Naxos. I do not hesitate in recommending this home.

As others have unanimously pointed out, the house is both large and beautiful, the property is private, quaint, and convenient (beach access, near to country store, several excellent restaurants, etc.), and George (the property owner) is kind, personable, knowledgeable/helpful, and a great table tennis partner/competitor.
You are sure to find both the villa and George at once relaxing and invigorating. If you're lucky, you might be able to meet up with him for beers in Athens too.

Amazing location in Naxos
The house is very confortable also for big groups as it is large and well equipped. Amazing location facing the lagoon, a beautiful beach and the sunset. The area is out of the crowded part of the island. There is a market and a few taverna around. The owner is very kind and helpful since the reservation and during your stay. To be recommended !!

Perfect vacation home!
We were a group of 4 families and stayed here fir a week...the house easily accomodated 10 and had a lot of room left for many more.
The location of the house is incredible, the views frim the rooms amazing and just as amazing was the beach in front of the house. Many days we had the entire beach with white sand entirely to ourselves!
Theres a well equipped Campo supermarket within walking distance as well wonderful tavernas like Faros, glyfada and axotisi.
The homeowner, George, was a wonderful host and went above and beyond a rental owner in making us feel welcomed into the island of Naxos!
We would recommend this house to family and friends. Thank you George for making this a memorable family reunion!

Incredible Vacation House
This house exceeded our (already high) expectations in its beauty, comfort, and proximity to the sea/beach. The owner, George, couldn’t have been more helpful, kind, and sociable. I give it my highest recommendation.

Highly recommended!
Stayed here for 1 week in June and had an extraordinary vacation in no small part due to this house. It's the perfect getaway place for a group (we only had 4 in our party but it could easily have accommodated many 3 times that). The house is beautiful; there's a quick path down to a practically private beach where I swam daily. The rooms are very nice each with private balconies, kitchens and sitting room (like individual apartments). There's an enormous common room where we spent most of our time and 3 wonderful verandas off the common room where you can sit and enjoy the view and fresh air. There's a market easily within walking distance and a handful of fantastic restaurants nearby as well. Zero complaints.

Fantastic stay on Naxos
I would highly recommend this property on the island of Naxos! The owner went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We felt so welcome in this home. The beach is a short, easy walk from the house. Several times we were the only people on the beach. A market, several restaurants and other beaches are nearby this property, so there is no need to travel far. Separation of space allowed for private areas during our stay, while the large shared living area was a great place to relax together. This property was very private. It was a great spot to stay while exploring the entire island of Naxos.
