We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Pond House. Ideal location for hiking and exploring the area. Ellen is the most gracious host. A relaxing retreat!

This property was beautiful and Ellen was very kind and welcoming. She lives on the property so it was very easy to reach her, she gave us her cell number too in case we needed anything. It is a large space with a large bathroom and a fully stocked kitchen (this was nice because we hosted our parents for dinner) and it had everything we needed. It was super clean as well and very quiet. A wonderful spot for a peaceful retreat.

We loved staying at this home in Jeffersonville. If you like a peaceful and quiet place to stay, this is the place. Ellen was so helpful and responsive. We are so grateful for staying there for our honeymoon. Thank you again Ellen!

This was an amazing property tucked away in the Green Mountains within minutes of Smuggler's Notch. The property is absolutely beautiful with everything we needed for a one week stay. The owner was friendly and responsive to our needs. This is a wonderful property which my wife and I highly recommend.

My only complaint about our stay is that it was too short! We only had a couple of days for a quick get away but it was worth the trip. My communication with Ellen was easy and she made checking in totally hassle free. The place is perfect, homey and comforting, and the property, even though it was winter, I could tell would be magical in the warmer months. The view out the living room window made it hard to get up and get going but we did some exploring. Nothing beats a small New England town at Christmas time...I hope we can come back soon!

This is such a fantastic place to stay... The views are amazing, every window looks out onto beautiful scenery, the house itself is beautiful and has lots of cooking tools (I'm a big cook, so this is important to me), comfortable queen sized bed, and nice roomy clean bathroom. Ellen, our host, is my favorite host ever. She is friendly and available when/if needed, and just a great person all around. We love Ellen! We've already booked next year's anniversary weekend, and we can't wait to come back.

My only wish is that we had a few more days to stay and explore this beautiful area. We will be back. Thank you Ellen for making our Vermont experience perfect.

The photos don't do justice to how beautiful this property is. My husband and I stayed here for over two weeks this month and it was just perfect for a couple.
We used the Pondhouse as our space for remote work. The house is well-equipped for those who like to cook. All the necessary pots, pans, spices, etc., are provided. The house is filled with light due to the gorgeous windows. Dozens of lovely paintings from the owner's mother (a professional artist) adorn the walls.
After spending our mornings working, we found the house to be centrally located to so many great hiking spots and then great breweries for after hike beers. It is the perfect Vermont get away.
The owner lives in her own house on the property and is very attentive and generous. Ellen works hard to make sure her guests have everything they need.
I can't wait to go back!

Beautifully landscaped property. We spent one morning watching the hummingbirds fuss at each other at the feeder, a groundhog (maybe?) on the lawn and the pond fish jump around. The host was super friendly, attentive, accommodating and helpful with local advice. The accommodation was very clean, had all amenities, great windows and super fast WIFI.

My wife and loved the location of the pond house! It was just rural enough with beauty everywhere the eye could see. Surrounded by woods and other breathtaking scenery! Very private and quiet ♥️ Our host was on site in case we needed anything and was very kind to us!

Lovely stay for my son and I on a short ski trip. This location is ideal to ski smuggs, but you will have to loop around the mountain to get to Stowe as the notch is closed in the Winter (about 45 minutes). The wide open floor plan should be considered if anyone in a group is needing privacy beyond the bathroom.

This was a wonderful mini vacation for our anniversary. The property and house are just beautiful, and well kept. We were able to find everything we needed to cook in the kitchen (big deal for me—I love to cook, even on vacation), the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. Gigantic windows overlook the little pond out front and the trees and mountains. I gravitated to the windows often. The view was amazing.
Our host was just wonderful—friendly and accommodating, with a great personality. We only got to chat a couple of times, but I greatly enjoyed the conversation.
The location is perfect— just enough off the beaten path, so you don’t hear traffic but you are close enough to area attractions that it isn’t too long a ride to get anywhere. Very close to smuggler’s notch, and all the local ski areas, hiking trails, and great places to eat. Not to mention some great breweries (much to my husband’s delight!).
We can’t wait to come back here. Really a wonderful experience.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Pondhouse. The reviews are all true - it's a quiet, beautiful respite set tucked into the hillside in the heart of the Green Mountains. Ellen was a warm and welcoming host. The studio is clean and airy, and very comfortable.

The property was breathtaking! The grounds were beautifully manicured with an array of colorful plants and greenery and rock formations. Not to mention the small swimming pond with a quaint area for sitting and taking on the beauty of the place.. The Pond House was just as incredible, very beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean. Everything you possibly needed was there and more. Ellen was an amazing host always getting back to us quickly when ever we reached out to her. We have rented from VRBO before and this exceeded our expectations big time. We will for sure be back next year!

My sister and I enjoyed the week in this scenic retreat located close to Smugglers Notch. Ellen, our host was friendly, yet unobtrusive. The studio apartment was beautifully furnished and its location was perfect for hiking in the mountains or visiting the city of Burlington. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Heaven on earth
My partner and I have never had a better rental experience. Ellen is an amazing person and has made a naturally gorgeous setting into an almost magical space. We have never been happier with a rental or a property owner (and we are very seasoned vacation renters). We are looking forward already to our next stay!

The Pond House was an absolutely lovely little studio house - huge windows with beautiful views of the pond, trees, and the peaks in the background. It was open and spacious, and a great place to relax and unwind after a day of hiking! Ellen was a great host - good communication before and during our stay. While the Pond House is right next to her house, it was still a very private space and Ellen was very respectful of our privacy. It also was nice to know that the owner was nearby if needed.
We really enjoyed staying at the Pond House and were honestly sad to leave. Would definitely stay again!
