Great communication from the owner, clean and spacious property with easy access to ski slopes, ideal for a relaxing trip. Highly recommended!

Purgatory is definitely a family mountain with lots of beginners! Admittedly it was a busy spring vacation week. Lots of merging trails and only one high speed lift from base. Once you are up and disperse this mountain us fantastic. Our condo was conveniently located and we enjoyed our time.

This condo was perfect for our family / friends, there were 5 of us and the space was perfect for 5 or 6 people. The condo was clean, beds & bedding were very comfortable and the condo was well stocked. They included things most condo's i've ever rented don't include. They provided enough toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher tabs, trash bags & shampoo/conditioner for the entire stay. They also had humidifiers for each bedroom and a well stocked kitchen with a crockpot, keurig with coffee pods, plenty of pans for cooking and any spice i could think of needing. The owner was super nice and friendly, very helpful and responsive. Not to mention the fact that this condo is so close to the slopes and provides an outside ski locker so we didnt have to bring them inside. We would definitely stay here again.

The place needs a deep clean and some updating. Things were held together with duct tape. The mattresses were thin and old, even had a board supporting one of them - not eve a whole board! Gross foam duct taped together under mattress pads. BLACK MOLD IN THE INDOOR HOT TUB. NOT worth the money we paid. Took away greatly from our vacation experience. Never had anything like this before. Very Sad

The pics on the site vs the actual image are completely deceiving, the place was not clean when we got there. Electrical sockets were very loose and did not hold chargers, communication was terrible, our girls had fun and that’s what we focused on. But the condo was nothing we could actually post for our friends to see as it was deceiving. Not at all homie.

A nice lace to stay. We stayed during our trip to southern Colorado.

We loved our stay here! The unit had everything we needed and was close to all the amenities at Purgatory and the surrounding area. Despite a large group of mountain bikers at the resort for a race, it was quiet and peaceful. Easy walk to the center of the resort for quick meals and coffee, plus access to the Mountain Club (it’s worth the extra cost!) made our stay just perfect! Highly recommend and we will return! My granddaughter (age 4) had the best week of her life!

Overall the property was as advertised. It's a very dated and run down rental. Kitchen cabinets are falling apart, dishes are from the 50's, utensils are a mismatched assortment.
Needs some updating throughout, paint, etc. Master bathroom toilet was loose and made noise when getting up, MB door gets stuck and is very noisy.
Overall was just ok. Hosts are very communicative, prompt and pleasant. Location is great, just 3min walk to slopes. Fireplace was a big plus!!

Great time
The property was as advertised. It was clean and spacious. We cooked on the patio grill. We had room to spread out and enjoyed the easy access to the ski slopes. We found it to be a relaxing trip and hated to leave.

Snow much fun!
Cute condo! Fit our family of 5 perfectly! Owners are very responsive. Beds are comfortable. Very short walk to the main lift and lodge. Limited kitchen cabinet space to put food away. You may want to bring a tub to keep food in. Would stay again!

Good Home Base
This was a great home base for us. We didn't spend much time here during the day, but it was a great place to stay every night. It was clean, had everything we needed and we had great communication with the owner. The view is fantastic!

Great location
We had a ball here. Wonderful location within walking distance from Purgatory and its resident marmots. Three bedroom was super handy with four kids.
I’d recommend the owner edit some of the kitchen items to allow for some storage space for food and add screens on the operable (lovely!) windows.
In general, it’s a comfortable/clean property with great views in a top-notch location.

This condo is just a short 5 minute walk from the main lift at the base of Purgatory Ski Resort. Perfect size for 6 adults, clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location
Dana was excellent and super helpful before and during our stay. The condo could us a good dusting and deep cleaning but nothing that affected our stay. Plenty of extra pillows and blankets which was helpful. The views were awesome.

Great location, close to lifts, place was dusty, towels smelled,
There was dust and dirt in every room. Ceiling fan blades were caked with dust. There’s dust on ledges I wouldn’t put anything in drawers or shelves. Towels had that moldy smell to them Thank goodness the location was on point so we could hit the slopes with only a 5 min walk

Good location, DIRTY
Good location. Easy access to mountain. Plenty of wood for the fireplace.
Very dirty, the entire place could use a good deep cleaning. Kitchen and closets are very disorganized. Crammed full with a bunch of stuff, I guess it’s owners personal belongings. For the money perfect for a group of twenty somethings.
Sleeper sofa was the worst mattress I had ever attempted to sleep on.

Wonderful owner
The owner was a terrific communicator. She answered any and all questions thoroughly and promptly. The set up for the condo was very comfortable, 3 bed 2 bath accommodated 6 of us very nicely. The beds, linens, and appliances were really good. The building could use some upgrading and painting and regrouting would improve the unit. A screen on the sliding glass door would have helped with temperature control. From the initial description, it looked like the pool was part of the rental, but the owner had to sign us up for club membership to the lodge. She made it easy and the pool was great.

Purgatory Condo
The condo was very nice and clean it is located a very short walk from Purgatory Lodge and all of the activities there. Our only problem was a miscommunication with the owner, so we were unable to get the information to enter the property until after our check in time. The owner was apologetic and we had no other issues.

Great condo!
This place was great for our ski trip! The slopes are about a 100 yard walk away. The beds were comfortable, fireplace was warm, and had all the cooking utensils and appliances we needed. No complaints! We loved Purgatory Resort. Thanks Dana and Hartwell family!

Great condo!!
Such a cute cabin, excellent for our 2 families. The owner was awesome & provided so much information including where we could get groceries. They also had a notebook at the condo full of restaurants, menus, house instructions etc. Perfect location to the mountain, we walked & can ski To the main lodge or down one of the bunny slopes!

A cozy, convenient condo for our family of four!
Dana was great to work with; after a long drive, it was nice to have the details in an email that we needed. Also, a text to follow up. I really appreciated the good communication!
We had everything we needed, though the hot tub was under repair, we could use the Durango Mountain Resort if we wanted. It was quiet and a superb view out the windows!
We had an issue with the parking pass because the previous people accidentally took it, we never got one, but I let Dana know two different times that we didn't receive one from the property manager. (with our make and model of our truck). Luckily, we just got a "warning" ticket. That was the only hiccup,, which wasn't much, so all in all, it was a great stay and I would recommend this place for sure!

Good Place to Rest Your Head After the Slopes
The good -
Dana was an excellent host. She was responsive, helpful, and attentive to our requests. The location is top notch - walking distance to the main lift and purgatory "base camp". The scenery up in the mountains was breathtaking.
Could use improvement -
The place is dated, and during our stay, WiFi was spotty, which isn't a huge deal given that we were mainly there to ski, but we had a child with us who had trouble with his iPad, and two of our family members needed internet access to work intermittently. Dana assured us that the property management was updating the internet in January, so that may not be an issue any more. Cleanliness could be improved, especially the curtains and windows, which were dusty.
Overall, I would recommend staying here for a warm place to rest after hitting the slopes and for easy access to Purgatory, but compared to the asking price over the Christmas holiday, my family would have enjoyed a bit more attention to amenities and cleanliness.

Amazing stay
This property for our 2 families. It was clean and had everything we needed. The resort was really nice also with an abundance of things for my kids to do. Dana was so good about making sure she was available for anything we needed and so helpful. The views were wonderful and the space was comfortable and clean with plenty of linens and everything you need if you decide to cook meals. We would stay in this property again if we make this trip. Totally exceeded our expectations.

Great condo!
Angelus 208 has lots of room and is kept very clean! The kitchen had everything that we needed. The beds were super comfortable and the two full bathrooms were nice. Our two families of four had plenty of space. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice Place
The condo was comfortable and convenient to the ski area (just a short walk). The condo isn't new so expect some age to show through but, it is kept nice and clean with comfortable beds and bedding. The kitchen is on the small side but has new appliances and everything you need to prepare meals. We enjoyed our stay.

Great place, great price
Loved the master bed and linens! A little disappointed that the hot tub wasn't working. And didn't see any firewood to use.

Outdated but stayable
We had 7 people stay in the condo, and it was enough space overall. However, I was disappointed with how run down the place looked...especially the nasty bedding and pillows!!!! There definitely weren't enough towels and wash rags for all of us, so we had to do a couple loads of laundry (in the nasty basement for $1.75 to wash and $1.50 to dry each load). I expected at least to have a stacked washer/dryer accessible in the condo... love the accessiblility of the condo to purgatory activities, but other than that, will probably not pursue this condo again.

Skiier Heaven!
Loved the unbelievable views from this corner condo! The gray slate floors and stone fireplace gave it true mountain resort feel. New appliances and easy ski in/ski out access to slopes. Well maintained with good ski gear storage. Highly recommend the wine and cheese snowshoe tour through Purgatory Sports and great lunch at Backside Bistro (reservation needed upstairs from Dantes 970-385-2100). Also, had a fantastic dinner at Sow’s Ear about a mile South of resort (970-247-3527). Pizza from Creekside was surprisingly delicious as well. We will rent this unit again.

Comfortable Condo
We had a good stay in this unit. Very comfortable unit with a great view. Short walk to the ski slopes. Could definitely use some updating. And a personal pet peeve, there is no drip coffee pot. Also, no shower soap provided.

Good location, perfect layout, plenty of snow
Our family of five stayed in this unit during the first week of January 2017. The unit shows its age and some aspects are dated, but it is a comfortable and convenient place to stay for skiing. The views were wonderful and we enjoyed the new appliances, nearby parking, and outside storage for skis and equipment. If we had to complain about anything, it would be the firewood - while there was plenty of free firewood, it consisted of small, unsplit green logs that were very tough to burn. If you stay in this unit or building, be sure and bring fire-starter and coins for the laundry room.

It was great!
It was perfect! The condo was exactly as described warm and cozy with a great fireplace. The owner was always helpful when I had a question. The property was clean and well maintained. The slopes and lifts were just a very short walk from the condo as well as restaurants and shopping. We love Purgatory ski resort. The runs are nice and wide, just a great place to vacation. I have already recommended this condo to others in my family.
