The cottage was cute and quaint and was exactly what we were looking for. It was a 10-15 min walk into the centre of clifden (my partner is short so closer to the 15 lol) and the walk was beautiful. I loved that the host left out some wood and fire lighters to make a fire if we wanted to and the amenities were all there. Access was very easy and there was a place to park in the garden for our car.
The only thing that was a bit of a let down was the internet access or lack of. Now the host did not mention the internet as an option in the posting and did explain in their welcome pack that it was a bit hit and miss. Me and my partner had planned to come back early and watch a movie but the tv/laptop required internet to play anything so this was the only minor thing. I also planned on doing a little work in the morning from my laptop. (again I believe I should have read the posting more in detail so not the hosts fault). Maybe a wifi extender to the cottage as there is wifi available just not strong enough.

Location so central. All conveniences in cottage. Very comfortable bed, plenty of towels and everything spotlessly clean. Even a hot water bottle.

Cadre très sympa, ville à proximité, accueil des hôtes...

Walking distance from Clifden
Small bottle of milk on arrival would have been good

Rita and Michael were great hosts, and the cottage was super comfortable - just the right amount of space.

Accommodation absolutely top class, hosts most welcoming, and a very quiet peaceful spot. It was ideally located for our 2 day trip to all the local sights, Kylemore Abbey, Connemara National Park, and Clifden itself, a treasure trove of knick knack shops and plenty of variety for places to eat out. And a MUST do for anyone who enjoys the outdoors, the walk to Omey Island (10min drive away) from the mainland when the tide is out, absolutely magnificent, don't cheat and drive across like some do, get your feet wet, like we did, shoes and socks off as the tide was just going out when we arrived, its less than a 10min walk across. And you can tell everyone you went abroad for the day, because you were !
That we had to leave after 2 days !

Spacious, private and comfortable. Lots of great appliances and tools. Fireplace a really nice touch. Views of garden very relaxing.
No wash clothes, no top sheet on bed. Single faucet in bathroom would be preferred.

Lovely little cottage, very friendly and helpful host. Great location - easy, 10 mins walk into middle of Clifden.
Patchy WiFi (as expected per the property details).

Very spacious and clean.
Next to main road, Wi-Fi not good, self catering but not many utensils fo microwave use.

The location was good but a little hard to find. There was no breakfast offered. The cottage was very clean and tidy and appreciated the heating when we arrived as it was a wet cold day. My husband saw the host only to hand over the keys on arrival. The bed was very comfortable and the cottage nice and cosy.
Staying for one night it met our needs.

Pictures don’t do this place justice. The place was spotless, the shower was great and the stove made it all so cosy. Perfect place to hideaway for a few days and unwind after hiking on a cold January’s day.
Owners were also very nice!

We had a delightful stay at the Cottage.
A really fantastic experience.
It was absolutely spotless comfortable and very cosy with a stove to sit in front of while you kick up your feet and relax after exploring all day.
A true Gem.
No faults at all.

The cottage was really cute, twas nice to be able to read a lil bit about its history too. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Rita was really friendly and welcoming and gave us a tip for a fabulous restaurant. Clifden never disappoints 🙂

The Cottage is extremely confortable for a couple staying a few days at the heart of the Connemara area. Located just a few minutes away from Clifden downtown it's easy to go to bars, restaurant and buy grosseries. A lot of hiking sites are nearby if you have a car : National Park, Sky Road, Marconi Loop, ... The bed is confortable, the kitchen well-equiped to cook your own dinner (several supermarket available in Clifden). Great stay, thanks to the hosts !

Stayed here for the Tour de Connemara. Location was great only a short walk into Clifden, clean and comfortable and good value for money The hosts are very friendly too
The cottage is great but if I was to be really really picky black out blinds would be an improvement in my opinion. That's just my preference though

It was a delight to stay at the Potters Cottage. It had all the amenities of home. Staying only one night we decided to make ourselves a romantic dinner rather than eat out. We bought our dinner and breakfast ingredients from a firstclass local supermarket. We would stay there again
