Location: The Iron Horse condos are perfectly located to the slopes and village. We were able to ski in and ski out with ease. We walked into the village and shuttled back.
This unit is located close to the stairs to walk over to the ski in and out. With equipment this is a huge plus. It was also in the same building as the pool and hot tub which was extremely convenient.
Unit: This unit has an extra bedroom which was a huge plus for us. The kitchen was so convenient for making breakfast and lunches. Some of the non-stick pans should have been replaced but everything else was perfect. We didn't use the balcony but it the weather was warmer it would have been a nice option.

We had a wonderful stay at this condo. Great location relative to the village base. The host was very responsive and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

Very affordable accommodations for my brother and I. Property management was very helpful and easy to work with. Would rent this space again. This space is a little closer to the walk-out point than several other properties that were open at our time of renting.

Great ski in access! The ski out is not perfect, requires a little bit of pushing or poling to get down to the gondola and Winter Park base. The building has great features with two large outdoor hot tubs and an indoor/outdoor pool, very nice game room area with ping pong, foosball, card/ board game tables, and video games. The parking garage was a huge plus for us as it snowed and we didn’t have to deal with de-icing the car. And the room was very comfortable for three adults with three queen size beds (bedroom, pull out couch, murphy bed). I think this is one of the larger units as many of them don’t have a bedroom. There is a full kitchen but the cookware is not great but sufficient. We’ve stayed at Zephyr before and I honestly liked this location better for a small group, especially for the value. But if your group is beginners then I would suggest staying at the Winter Park base instead where you are closer to lessons and beginner ski areas. There is a Lift shuttle bus that comes through though, so you could still have access to the WP base without dealing with parking.

We stayed here as a family of five and loved this unit. The pull out couch and the Murphy bed meant there was plenty of space for our kids to sleep to minimize teenage fighting. We were very impressed by the furnishings. Plenty of pillows, linens, and blankets for all the beds plus some extra for snuggling on the couch. Murphy bed was extremely comfortable for our teenage son and the pull out couch was excellent for a sleeper sofa. Overall, we were very happy and would certainly stay here again.

Since you could not sit on the couch due to the bed being put away wrong and there was not a comfortable seat in the place I was very disappointed. You can tell in the picture that this was Not a new occurrence because you can see the slant in the picture. The young maintenance man was very nice and tried to help us but it just needs a new couch. We should be compensated for this terrible experience. I would also say because there was no air conditioning our windows were open so when they started up construction for the new building at 7am there was no sleeping in either.

Our week was wonderful in Winter Park. Even though it is a 1 bedroom apartment, it comfortably sleeps 6. There is a sofa bed and a murphy bed in addition to the bedroom. It is an open layout, so it is roomy without getting in eachothers way.

The condo is nicely located on a ski in/out green slope. The unit was very nice and clean; for our party of 3, very spacious. It would be nice to have a different couch setup with more seating accommodations but my review will still stand as, 5 star. The management team was VERY responsive, we had an issue with the door code that was resolved in a matter of minutes. We would, definitely, rent this condo again. With that, I would like to suggest... When skiing down to the gondola, NEVER stop, as the slope only has a slight grade.

We stayed at Iron Horse for 1 night. It was super expensive, and we didn't even get to use the accommodations for a full 24 hours. Check in wasn't until 4:00 and check out was at 10:00 am. We couldn't figure out the parking garage, so we parked outside right by the back entrance which was super convenient. The unit was indeed cozy. The sleeping arrangements worked great for my husband and 2 kiddos - 9 & 10. Since we couldn't park the car at the building for very long (like I said less than 24 hours) we didn't get to use the ski in/ski out feature. So, we had to pay for parking. Again, crazy expensive quick trip. I will say, if it wasn't for the price tag we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Overall nice location. Not the greatest for snowboarding in and out as the access area is fairly flat and if you have a beginner it is a lot of work to make it to the lifts.
Great communication by the host and easy check in.

Check-in information was sent a month ahead of my stay. This made the check-in process a little clunky as this information was not provided closer to my stay and got overlooked. A quick call to Charlotte though and we were able to receive our check-in information on the phone.
The condo is located right off the Corridor run. A little bit of a push to get yourself to the Gondola but easy to get to when ending for the day.
A couple of days before our stay was over, the lighting fixtures above the dining area and kitchen went out. Charlotte was quick to respond when messaging her early in the morning and said she would get someone there soon. I wish communication was better here as while a maintenance guy was sent over to repair the light fixture, he ended up leaving me with no power at all. I had to communicate with Charlotte to get power back after the maintenance guy left for over an hr. Power was restored by the end of the day but the light fixture was not replaced with a dimmer switch but a regular flip switch. The fixtures are very bright without the dimmer in place but I was happy to have power and my stay was almost over.

Everything was smooth as usual. We've stayed at iron horse probably ten times, and this exact unit once before.
The hot tubs and hallway carpet are new so the iron horse looks pretty new again.
One improvement I'd like to see is some accommodation for access on checkout day. It's always a headache to deal with a parking spot after returning the parking pass, and to change out of ski clothes for the drive to the airport. I know it's out of the hands of individual owners, but it would sure be nice.

the carpet was dirty. my white socks turned gray. the blankets smelled like they hadn't been washed in a long time. I told the management about that and they offered me to vacuum the carpet on my own. That was funny.

The condo itself was very nice and clean. It's location to Alpine slide and town was great! My only complaint is that our kids could not use the pool or hot tub as they were not working properly. One of the main reasons I picked this place was because of the indoor and outdoor pool for the kids. If we stay here again, I would call ahead to make sure the amenities are in working order. The outdoor firepit was very nice though!

Not bad not much room… we didn’t spend much time in the room anyways. Had a few lighting problems and the bath tub is gross. Whole building seems to be under renovation. But over all would stay again.

Great location at WP Resort and Iron Horse
Loved the location of the condo at the end of hallway (fewer neighbors) and near stairwell, both to leave building and access fifth floor for ski-out access. Condo is good size for small family and facility has great extras such as game room and pool/hot tubs.

Great condo
It was my boys (12 and 16) first trip to CO and skiing. The Murphy bed and sofa bed allowed for separate beds for them. The condo had all the amenities for a comfortable stay. It was convenient to the slopes, restaurants and activities. We will definitely stay there again!

Just ok
We stayed here for spring break..3/14-3/18..4 nights. It was ok. I don’t think we would stay in this unit again the way it is. The pillows were terrible..after 2 bad nights I requested new pillows and thankfully management brought us new ones. The tub has a gross plastic thing covering where grout should go. Really the shower should be redone…new tile, fixtures, etc. The baseboard by the shower looks gross. There isn’t a tv in the master. Even though it was freezing outside it was hot inside. We even opened windows to get cool air, but it never really seemed to cool down in unit. There was one plug in table fan and we requested another when we requested new pillows so that helped a little. We also requested a new toaster since the other one was broken. The location wasn’t as good as I had hoped. Ski out was lots of poling to get to base and we never skied in. You have to do blues or blacks to get back…so not easy for all. We look the Green line bus back..first stop so that was great. If the owners would do some updating, making it look nicer I think it would help…remove wallpaper, new and more lighting, ceiling fans, paint, new furniture. I think it would go a long way to the overall feel of the unit. The kitchen was well stocked, although having bigger coffee cups would be nice. We own a rental cabin in Broken Bow so we know how important it is to have things perfect for guests if we want them to give good reviews and come back.

Great location
Easy check in. Detailed description for parking etc. Excellent location! Convenient ski in/out! There were dirty sheets on the pull out sofa, the lighting in the door kitchen area is extremely dim and hard to see. A broom and dust pan in unit would be great! Also towels for the pool/hot tub are needed. We ran out of toilet paper and didn’t know where to get more. We had to search for water on the property as well. We ended up finding 2 vending machines in the entire 2 building complex and filtered water in the workout room. Not convenient, but we made do. Brochures for winterpark/ adventures and contact #s would be nice as well. The ski rental & little ski shop and massage/oxygen bar on premises are nice! The game room is so fun- but couches etc could use some updating. The lobby is awesome as well! All of that stated we decided we would stay here again! We loved many things about the property, just a few small tweaks. :)
The pool/hot tub are awesome too! OH- one more thing let guests know that there is not a close convenient grocery store around so shop before arriving at winterpark. We were glad we did, but it would be nice if that info is included upon booking :) As well as letting guests know there isn’t filtered water or a snack shop readily available on site :) thanks for a great stay!
