Property was ok nothing in particular stood out. There was no mountain view from anywhere on the deck. Flooring in the house, bathrooms, and general decor need updating. The kitchen utensils, fry pans, and pots, were old and of the type that seemed to be discarded by the owners. The property seemed more like a camp than a resort property. There was mold on the bathroom curtain that required us to wash the curtain before use. Otherwise the place seemed clean, but as a cabin the woods, susceptible to spiders and ants. The property was close to the Wintergreen Lodge, however the pools, the exclusive restaurant, and the fishing ponds are not available to the lessors of this property. This was a disappointment but in fairness we should have checked this out before hand. The property served our purpose and in general was adequate. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and the price was reasonable. Coffee in the morning on the deck was peaceful. I suspect this would be very convenient and reasonable place for a ski trip. This is a nice area for adults but we found little to do for a the teenager and the child in our party. We were there over the memorial day holiday.

This is the second time renting here and both times have been Amazing. Special shout out to the host Deb who literally was a phone call away to immediately answer any questions! Such a cozy private warm vibe to this home for cooking and reading and quiet respite from the daily adventures! Super stocked kitchen and abundant towels/ linens. Incredibly CLEAN and wonderful views with great natural lighting from windows all along the back of the home. Easy day trips we enjoyed were hiking Crabtree Falls , biking along the Ty river, walking thru the blue ridge mile long train tunnel, and a trip to the impressive D Day Memorial. Thank you Deb!!!

We had a great 4 night stay! The location and access to slopes can’t be beat. And communication with the host, Deb, was fabulous. We appreciated that the house was well stocked things like hand soap, detergent, etc. Would definitely stay again!

Nice get away from the DC area for a NYE trip. Wish there had been more snow and more trails open but this is a great location, easy access, wonderful sunsets! Will rent again in the future and enjoy the easy ski in/out access. Thank you!

Great location. Lots of room. We loved the hot tub. It was a great retreat after a much needed break. I felt like it was a writers retreat. I got to clear a lot of thoughts and the place had everything we needed.

Our family enjoyed the comfort of the home, warm gas fireplace, deck hot tub, surrounding neighborhood. Even without snow and skiing opportunity due to weather, enjoyed the area around Wintergreen.

We came up for a long weekend to celebrate our daughters 30th birthday. The house is well equipped and looked just as pictured. The owner reached out to make sure all was well and was prompt to handle one small issue we had. We enjoyed the hot tub and the large dining table was great for playing games. The beds are comfortable too. We skied one day and it was nice to be able to walk to the house for lunch since it it right off the slopes. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this property with a family of five - mom and dad plus two teenagers and a 9-year old. The sleeping set-up provided a separate bed for all 3 kids, which they appreciated! Skiers can’t beat the house’s location, which is at the top of a blue/Intermediate slope - Eagle’s Swoop. You simply cross the culdesac on foot to enter the slope. Note that beginning or cautious skiers would need to drive by car down to the green/Beginner main slope area. We appreciated the full kitchen and upscale gas stove and took advantage of this to cook often. There are limited dining options at Wintergreen, so we like to bring groceries. (There are also groceries available at a premium price in the small market on property.). The outdoor hot tub is a nice added amenity, and you can even glimpse skiers go by at a distance from one side of the tub. We recommend this property for a family of 5-6 seeking a cozy winter getaway! PS - Be sure to snow tube on The Plunge!! No skiing experience required. We had no idea how much we would love this; it was thrilling and FAST!! Made mom feel like a kid again.

We had a really nice weekend away and the property was super cozy and well organized. Our boys loved the toy story loft room, and all the beds were very comfortable. The location is ideal for families who love to ski and we would definitely love to come back again! Thanks so much Deb!!

There were 6 of us and plenty of room and outdoor space. Stayed in August. It was very quiet and the views were amazing! Amenities were provided. We enjoyed the hot tub. The host was very responsive when we had an issue with the AC. We had a wonderful time. Just FYI for those wanting to enjoy the cider/wineries/breweries- check the hours first and most closed by 8.

We just wanted to go somewhere beautiful and by chance landed here. We had a lovely time. The house is cozy, clean and has everything you need. Fireworks from the resort where visible just steps away at the top of a ski hill.

We enjoyed a family getaway in the summer. Property was clean, appliances are up to date. There is a grill and a hot tub that are nice. The only negative thing I'd say is the value is probably greater in the winter, which is when Id recommend to rent this ski in/ski out property.

Property was lovely and we had a really nice long weekend visiting Wintergreen. The Eagles Nest is centrally located, boasts wonderful sunset views, and the hosts were very gracious. Deb communicated with us on the day of check in to make sure everything ran smoothly - it did. The house was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with all of the cooking supplies needed to make it feel just like home. Thank you! Would definitely recommend and return!

This home was perfect for our family ski trip. The location was amazing and the house was so well stocked and comfortable. The ability to ski in and out made it so easy for our group of six to enjoy the slopes and come and go without needing to deal with parking. The house had everything we needed and was super well stocked with all of the essentials and more. The hot tub was especially nice and had amazing views of the mountains. We were especially impressed by the communication and attention to details before and during our stay. We highly recommend this home and plan to go back next winter.

Very nice place to stay. Clean and well stocked with more than we needed. We went to ski for the weekend and it was a great little get away. This house is ski in/ski out but it is not slope side. You have to walk a very short distance to access the slope, but was still a great location to ski for the weekend. I would recommend it and I would book again. The contact person was always helpful and quick to respond and check in. Great stay!!

My family and I really enjoyed our Christmas holiday at this location. The check in process was a little delayed because we didn’t get instructions on how to check in, but that was immediately taken care of upon a phone call. The cabins were well stocked with everyday items that are needed to feel at home. The host even left us a Christmas treat box filled with goodies. It really felt like home during our stay.

The location was perfect. Easy walk to the eagles swoop. If the slope had been open it would have been a dream. Sadly there wasn’t much snow so we had little ski time. The house was well stocked and very comfortable for our family of 6. We even got to see a bear out the back windows one morning. Very cool. Highly recommend
