Newly furnished 2 BR 1BA Lakefront Condo with amazing, unobstructed views of CEDAR Point. Located in historic downtown Sandusky and short walking distance to shopping, restaurants and bars. Fitness room, pool and grill access for guests. Steps from ferrys to Put-in-Bay, Kelleys Island and a short drive to Cedar Point. Equipped with a full kitchen, comfortable beds, 2 story loft ceilings, wifi and TV. Perfect for couples, business travelers, families (with kids) and groups. Adjacent to the Sandusky Marina, walking distance to boutique shopping, restaurants and parks.
THE SPACE Originally a historic paper factory and completed in 2008 as part of the Chesapeake Lofts project, this is a third floor, loft-style condominium overlooking Lake Erie and Cedar Point. This unique 1200 sq. ft., two bedroom unit features:
* 23’ ceilings * Original, exposed structural steel beams and original brick exterior wall
* A wrought iron spiral staircase and railing encompassing the spacious loft
* Mid-Century and modern décor, furniture and artwork The master bedroom on the main level features a Queen size bed. The 2nd bedroom is in the loft area with Queen size bed and a twin size daybed with a twin trundle. The bathroom is located on the main floor. Bath towels, beach towels, soap and shampoo is included. Fully-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and corian countertops. Electronic amenities include a flat screen TV in the living room and high speed, wireless broadband internet access. Also included on-premise:

The check in descriptions were not at all right. Had to be let in after showing our reservation to the security guard, the key was supposed to be in garage lock box 10 NOPE! My wife messaged the owner and never got a response. After driving around the parking lot for a while we asked the security guard what to do and he said most people put the keys in the keys box by the pool so we tried all the boxes until one opened. NOT THE ONE ON INSTRUCTIONS. A ]phone call would have been nice

This was are second time staying here and it was great again! There’s a lot of steps to actually get into the condo which is a pain but after that it’s fine. It’s a beautiful condo with great views and the town, which is in walking distance, is so much fun!

We loved this condo! Clean. Modern. Central location! The view of Lake Erie and Cedar Point was beautiful! Sandusky is a charming town with plenty to do! My son attends Tiffin University and it took less than an hour for him to come stay with us!

Loved the location, but we were disappointed with our stay. The property smelled like cigarette smoke. The carpeting was stained and had cigarette burn holes. The property we booked online had hardwood floors and advertised newer furnishings. We were switched to a different property the day of our arrival. We were told it was an upgrade. The property had more beds and an additional bathroom but wasn’t necessary since there were only three of us staying. The upgrade was a disappointment since we trusted the property would be the same quality as the one we originally booked. The smell and the condition of the carpeting were a disappointment. The beds were comfortable. The view was amazing and the location was perfect.

We rented this particular unit due to being at Bike Week for the weekend.
We wanted something close enough to walk
downtown to enjoy the music, vendors and walk back if drinking.
The condo itself was the perfect size and location.
Open the patio doors and a nice breeze comes in off the lake.
We were able to watch all of the big evening bands from the balcony without the crowds.
We did have some trouble finding the key box-which is located on the back side of the swimming pool.
My VRBO instructions were sent via email and via VRBO chat.
We arrived at the condo on Fri and I used my email instructions since I didn't have access to my VRBO account.
We had a rough start as we couldn't find the spot where the keys were. We walked around the parking lot and went to garage #10, well the garage didn't have anything and finally after asking someone, we were able to locate the box that had the keys in.
Well, the email instructions said box B #10 to get keys.
Box B didn't have #10, box A did.
I finally called Carla and was told try #39, to which it finally worked and we were able to get in the condo 30 min later.
Frustrated that my email directions were wrong and wasnt aware until we got home and I got on VRBO to send a msg.
The gate code in the email was also not the same as the VRBO and had to ask the Security Gate Guard to let us in.
We did have a great time after all of this and loved the building and room.
FYI: Hallways are noisy when people walk through

What a perfect location for this trip to Cedar Point and Put In Bay. Everything downtown was within walking distance. The property was very nice and everyone we ran in to there was super nice and helpful.
The only downside was having to use the laundry room down the hall and there wasnt a whole lot of privacy since we faced the public area. There were no curtains and the lighting in the condo wasnt great, but that would not keep us from visiting again. Thanks Carla for everything.

Excellent location in Sandusky. There are several restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. Parking is in a secure fenced area so no security worries at all. Condo was well outfitted and had a great view of the waterfront and Cedar Point. Host was friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

This meets all expectations. Tall ceilings, great space, comfy, great view. Stayed here for a bachelors party and it was perfectly accommodating for 5 adults. The only negative is the sun rises out your window and it gets bright, but is that really a negative?

This is a great place to stay in Sandusky! Located right in the downtown area within walking distance of the ferry, bars, restaurants, and shops. Awesome view of the lake and Cedar Point from the small balcony. We’d definitely stay again!

The condo was peacefully however there were many dips in the flooring and we were unable to use the patio with the amount of spiders occupying the space. We enjoyed the view of lake Erie and the pool was comfortable. Our biggest problem was the instructions to find the key, it was convoluted, the box was not clearly marked space 10 I stead it was written B. Finding the box's on the pool house was almost a maze until given instructions by the guards at the gate. The check in process needs to be updated for future renters but the overall stay was welcoming and comfortable. I do recommend this facility to any family or couple stays. It's very friendly for all.

Victoria and Carla were wonderful! Check in was easy and they were very helpful when one of our parking passes was missing. We had a couple of little problems touring the week and they were both quick to respond and helped us out! The view was gorgeous and the condo was perfect for 4 of us!! We lived every second we spent here!

Wonderful and interesting views of cedar point and ferries coming and going with several restaurants and bars to choose from. The place however is bare-bones; i.e., knives that won’t cut, no tissues or spare blankets and no complimentary coffee for the Keurig so bring your own if you are able.

Great Condo with lots of space and beautiful view
My sons loved this loft condo! It was very nice and close to downtown Sandusky. I really likes the layout and location. I feel to really make it a five star property there could have been more little touches, like leaving some coffee pods and creamers, having some extra trash bags on hand, and maybe more items to make cooking easier while traveling. It had all the basic requirements, but nothing to make the stay feel warm and personal. Overall a very nice property.

Great place for a getaway!
Perfect location, walking distance to restaurants, and we reserved an overnight boat dock right next door. The condo was the right amount of space for 5 of us. Would book again anytime. The only complaint is that there are no curtains for the wall of windows. Although beautiful view of the sunrise over the water and Cedar Point

Location! Location! Location!
This two bedroom is great! The bed was comfy. The location was walk-able to anything downtown. Being on the 3rd floor we had great views of Cedar Point and the sunrises. Having a full kitchen was fantastic (Kpods would be nice to have in stock or identify to bring as there is a Keurig). The owner was super pleasant to work with and has everything planned out very well for guests. Props to her!
Some things to take note of:
1) Either the walls are extremely thin or the vents let the sound travel but we heard some ladies up until about 1am one night...their full conversations and cackling.
2) The bathroom is a good size but the tub/shower combo is extremely small and the counter space on the sink is limited. Had to use the top of the toilet tank to hold additional items as I got ready.
3) The garbage cans are supposed to be electronic but neither the bathroom or the kitchen ones worked.
4) There is no FOB at this time to get in and out of the building as indicated.
5) The 2nd set of keys did not allow us to access the building only the apartment.
6) I would suggest maybe putting an extra blanket or a throw in the living room. We had to take the bedspread off the daybed.
7) There was construction right in front of the building and by the dock but it was not hard to navigate at all.
So those are just some critiques but in no way should they stop you from staying there. I would stay at this facility, again, in a second.

Island fun
The property was clean and close to jet express. The construction was a pain but we understood.... The kitchen was ok....we love to cook so it was not stocked like we would’ve like but it work....we would recommend this property to anyone wanting a quiet relaxing vacation....

Our visit gave us a whole new appreciation for Sandusky!
Our Family has always enjoyed Cedar Point and when staying overnight have always stayed on property. Now that my wife and I are "seniors" and our kids are adults, we still love the thrills of the Park, but need more space and other "diversions".
Carla's condo at Chesapeake Lofts was the perfect venue for us! Close to Cedar Point (with lovely, unobstructed views of the Park across the Bay), within an easy walk of several good restaurants in Downtown Sandusky, and adjacent to several marinas and ferry docks to CP and the Islands. The condo was just as presented; spacious, modern, clean, and well appointed.
We all enjoyed and appreciated the location, the pool, hot tub, (and high speed wifi!) It was great to have the options of dining out and cooking in. The A/C was much appreciated for the hot and humid days, and the French balcony double doors opened for a magnificent breeze on the cooler day.
We would recommend this property for "older" families like ours or younger folks who are just beginning their "journey"!
N.B.: Shoreline Drive (the entrance to the Condo) is under major construction and currently only open one-way in the East-West direction. This should not be a deterrent and was only a minor hindrance to our visit; just don't rely on your GPS directions when you first arrive. Navigation was easy once we learned our way around.
