We all
Enjoyed our stay, the weather was great also!
Pool and hottub were both great with the most
Amazing views the only problem we had was parking as the property only comes with one small
space leaving my wife’s car with no we’re to park. There is some parking on the narrow road but the other residents are fast is a space does become available. The is a near by multi store car park close by with plenty of space which is great you just have to pay.

The Lodge was easy to find and on our arrival, Easter Sunday, Lauren and Steve had left us some Easter chocolates, cakes and wine.a lovely thought!
There was an an extremely well equipped kitchen, everything we needed was there.
The bedrooms were pleasant and the beds very comfortable, the bedroom overlooking a car park could be noisy at times.
The hot tub was lovely and warm, we found it very relaxing as the weather was not good.
Our hosts communicated well throughout.
As a family we enjoyed the seating in the lounge area very cosy especially on one cold night when we lit the log fire.
A good base for exploring Torquay and area.

Excellent location for wandering the town, with a private parking space! We really enjoyed having downtown be not more than a couple blocks away, while still being quiet in the evenings; while only two of us stayed, there was plenty of room for us to stretch out and relax, with plenty of extra space. All facilities and amenities were clean and well-kept, and views of the harbor were spectacular. Hosts were very responsive and easy to reach. Stepping out on Sunday morning and hearing the churchbells ring was a delight as well. 10/10, would recommend, and shall return!

We had an excellent time at this lovely house. It was perfectly located for everything we wanted with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants within an easy walk. Geographically it was an ideal base to explore the local area as well. Steve was a great host and very easy to communicate with.

A truly unique house in an amazing location that we booked for a late-summer family get-together. From the welcome hamper to the massive living space with amazing vibes to the hot tab and pool decks with superb views over the marina, everything was perfect. The flow of the house from well equipped kitchen, to lounge with massive couch /TV to dining area that opens onto the awesome deck made you feel instantly relaxed - we were a family of seven adults and never once felt anything but chilled and at home in this amazing space. The Lodge was so perfect in every way that we spent more nights around the dining table than in the local restaurants with the deck area making sure the end of every day was either a relaxing soak in the hot tub or a few hours of water sports in the pool for the livelier/younger family members - all with total privacy!!! A wonderful break in a beautiful place with great and responsive hosts on hand to answer any questions on the house or locality. We will definitely book again for our next Torquay break.

We had an amazing time staying at the property. It was like a little piece of heaven that could have been anywhere in the world. The house was immaculate and with two small children catered for everything we needed. The pool, hot tub and outdoor space was amazing and enjoyed by all. The view overlooking the harbour during the day and night were breathtaking. We loved our stay and would definitely book again!

The lodge is a fabulous property, really well equipped. The outside space with pool and hot tub was fantastic. It was lovely to be able to park the car and not have to use it again , as you are in the centre of Torquay.
If I was to give a downside, Torquay is quite run down in certain areas however the harbour side is fabulous and we had some fantastic meals out. Would definitely recommend to a family, lots of things to do if you want to leave your pool and hot tub !!

Stay at Rock Road
The accommodation was all that we hoped for, being close to all amenities and well appointed.
It’s worth noting that if travelling with persons who are not so confident on their feet, as we discovered with our elderly parents, the few steps leading down into the kitchen caused them some difficulty as there was no handrail. Otherwise, everyone enjoyed their stay and we would highly recommend to anyone wishing to visit Torquay.

Perfect stay in a great location
We all enjoyed our stay at The Lodge very much especially the children who loved the heated pool. The lodge was so well equipped with plenty of mod cons and the bedrooms were very comfortable and quiet. Rachael and Steve were always quick to reply if you had a problem. Thanks for the hamper and cheese and milk left for us on arrival, much appreciated, including the honey produced by Steve’s bees. All in all it’s a great place to stay with lovely views of Torquay.

Fabulous week in Torquay
This house is fabulous but not quite as the pictures depict in that the foliage now obscures the wonderful view from the hot tub, which is a shame, and the dining table is not outside the patio doors. However the pool terrace is wonderful and gets the sun, even in October, for most of the day and is a real sun trap. The outdoor seating area is really comfortable.
The house is well equipped and has everything and more you would need for your stay plus lots of lovely extras provided by the hosts, but the only bathroom upstairs in the en-suite, so a long trip downstairs to the other bathroom. All this being said, the house worked well for us as an adult family group. We were pleasantly surprised by Torquay and the surrounding countryside but you need to look beyond the immediate vicinity of the house.
We would recommend this house to others.

Oasis in the middle of the city
Our week here was lovely. The kids had a great time in the pool and we all loved the hot tub. The house is a great size with really good facilities. The huge tv in the lounge made great “Cinema” evenings.

English Riviera bliss
Overlooking Torquay town and harbour and the old Pavilion, the house is perched on the cliff on Rock Road. You get the view across the town and Tor Bay from the living room, the 37 degree hot jacuzzi and the lovely heated pool. Steve and Rachel are just one message or call away with helpful advice and support, which is good as the house is packed with AV and all the tools and gadgets you need to make your life as comfortable and as easy as possible as you enjoy your break. While we stayed in April, it was sunny and cold and lockdown meant that evenings were largely in the house. So the huge TV, the fabulous sofas and a well-kitted out kitchen made for happy evenings, rounded off to perfection by the roaring wood-burner. Highly recommended.

Family fun in Torquay
The house is fantastic, quirky in design with all the mod cons you could wish for. The pool was warm and the kids swam even on drizzly days. The log fire created a lovely cosy atmosphere in the evenings when we cuddled up and watched a movie on the massive telly! Our hosts were fantastic, we really appreciated the little details like a pint of milk in the fridge and the cream tea on arrival. The location is incredible, a minutes walk down to the hustle and bustle of the shops yet a feeling of remoteness once on the property with incredible views out over the bay. We would be back in a heartbeat and strongly recommend booking a stay.

Torquay getaway
Fantastic views from garden pool area, excellently equipped kitchen, blinds on kitchen windows would be of benefit, also having access to the steps to town through garden gate would be a major bonus, otherwise all round fantastic stay, would definitely return .
