Loved the quiet but it was far to get to things. If you are looking for quiet, peaceful, beautiful this is it! We had young adults that wanted to go to go and there wasn’t a lot to choose from in the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gentry's Rest Stop 1. The house was very spacious and well equipped with anything you would need, especially the kitchen. We have never stayed somewhere that had everything that you need. Just bring your clothes and food! We met the owners, Rhonda and Bobby, while we were there. They were very nice and friendly, and even let us take a look at the 2nd house that is on the property. Our favorite thing about the house was the back porch!!! It is huge! We loved that it was covered so that we could sit out on the porch when it was raining and just enjoy the scenery and the cool weather. We also loved the back yard and the beautiful creek that ran through the property. The kids had plenty of space to run around and play outside, and plenty of games inside to keep them busy. A couple of the beds were pretty hard, but other than that the house was wonderful. This is definitely somewhere that we would consider returning to in the future.

Great place for the whole family in the woods. Private location but still close to shopping and fun. Owners were great and the house was so cute. Best porch ever

The property was very nice with a quiet stream. Everyone enjoyed their time. This house made you feel very much at home, they have literally everything you need if you’re a large family with children. Plenty of silverware, containers, cooking utensils, and even a homemade ice cream maker. This is an optimal place if you’re looking to take the kids and family. We appreciated the gift basket from the owners!

We had an awesome vacation at the Gentry's place. We did some hiking, fishing, and eating out, but mostly we hung out in the cabin reading, watching tv, and playing games, and it was perfect for that. We really enjoyed relaxing and bringing in the new year in such a nice and comfortable cabin.

Our family of 8 absolutely loved this cabin. We've never felt more at home in a cabin before this one. We enjoyed the HUGE back porch, the yard & the creek in the back yard! We also loved the location of the cabin. The owner was outside one afternoon and was very friendly and welcoming. Only complaint I have is with the property manager. I called once we arrived because it was a little confusing as to which cabin was ours. I knew there were two cabins on the same property but in the first picture of our booking it shows the second cabin and not the one we booked so it was a little confusing. I had called her to verify which cabin was ours because honestly our cabin was so beautifully decorated on the outside that it looked like a storefront. Cathy was very rude from the first sentence she spoke. She stated she had 16 other properties, which I understand but being patient with someone goes a long way and also the tone you talk to people with. There is no reason for anyone to talk to someone like a dog. She helped us figure out which cabin was ours and then we ran into a issue with the code to the door. She stated she sent an email with the welcome packet after paying in full, which if she did that's fine but I never received it on my end. I paid in full at booking so I'm not sure if it went down a pot hole or what. It weren't no big deal but she kept arguing with me that I should have received it, if I checked my email. Which I had checked several times, in all folders.

Great, Kevin had everything we need. Had neighbors that were a little closer than I prefer but other than that no complaints.

This was by far our favorite place we have ever stayed. They have thought of everything! Literally bring your clothes and food. They have it all perfectly stocked, decorated o so cute for fall and are super nice! We had plenty of room and were right at home. The kids played board games and we didnt see them on their devices the whole weekend. The kids loved the loft. Thank you so so much for a great trip
