The house is walking distance to the famous St. Charles Street Car line, which can take you anywhere in the city - including downtown and the French Quarter. Even though it is faster to Uber, I highly recommend taking the street car at least once while you are in town. The house is also walking distance to coffee and begneits (corner of St. Charles & Milan), as well as walking distance to many eateries and drinking establishments along the Freret Corridor.

Ours was a party of 7. We stayed comfortably in this house and enjoyed the quiet of the neighborhood. It was a good base for Tulane graduation and walking to eateries on Feret street. This is not a touristy area so you will Uber to the French quarter and to Tulane. Each room had a King size bed. The house has 2 bathrooms, one on each floor. Each room has a tv. The house has a lot of charm….hardwood floors, tall ceilings, New Orleans decor. The sleeper sofa has been replaced so there is not one that opens up. Bring your own bath soap and shampoo. The place was clean.

Nice, quiet location. Across the street from a school. Short walk from some bars, restaurants, grocery, cafes. Check out The Library bar on Prytania.
Had 6 adults in our group and the house was spacious.
Host was friendly and communicative.
Downsides: door knobs were funky (someone got stuck in bathroom once) and the beds had metal chains as decor, which personally i found if i flipped over it rattled and hit the headboard.
Overall we would stay again.

First off the communication with the host was top notch! The property was huge, it was several of us and no one felt on top of each other. The home was clean and the beds are so comfortable. I thought we would have an issue due to there only being two bathrooms and my girls (grown women), hog the bathrooms, but this was not an issue due to there being several mirrors around the house they could hop in front of an do their make-up. The kitchen has all the cookware you could need to cook a meal, however we ate out or ordered in. Overall a great stay for large groups and small ones for that matter.

Overall the Stay wasn't bad but the Home was infested with Rats All the Door Knobs was broken we went ahead and repaired all the Door Knobs because My Uncle was stuck in The Bathroom for hours The wooden floors are broken at the Front Entrance. The Upper Room Blind wouldn't Release so I and My Husband slept Exposed to the Outside. The Home looked Different on the Website We had a Great Time

We had a wonderful stay here. The location is very good, it's quiet and there's plenty of parking. The house was clean, the hvac worked well and the beds were comfy. There was plenty of hot water. The kitchen had the basic stuff which worked for us. We only ate breakfast here. The only drawbacks were the lack of friendly lighting in the living room, which we solved using a bedroom lamp. The door knobs fall off and some of the doors don't stay closed. It's an old house and it shows. But we were comfortable here and every one had their own bedroom, which is why it deserves all 5 stars.

We had a great stay - the property and location were just as described and made a great launch point for NOLA.

A nice safe neighborhood. Never figured out how to use public transportation. Quite a haul to French quarter but worth it. Home was just lovely.

This is a great house and my family very much enjoyed staying there. You've got a downstairs bedroom if you have anyone in the group that has trouble with stairs which is great when needed. The neighborhood is dark at night but we felt safe and loved the proximity to everything we wanted to see and do. My only feedback is that the floors in the house were very dusty when we arrived - while not a big issue they should be very clean. I'm sure it will be next time.
Overall, we will absolutely stay here again.

If you are coming with a large group for a short stay in NOLA this is the place to be - King Beds for everyone! Only a couple of issues the host remedied right away and with minimal interference with our group.

Great property in an excellent location. You are in walking distance to many shops, restaurants and the streetcars. Neighborhood is safe and there is ample street parking.
The property manager was easy to get in touch with and quickly responded to our needs.

Easy and responsive. Everything we needed more than enough room for us to stretch out. 10-15 mins from any place you want to be in the city.

Incredible
Absolutely loved our stay here. Me and a group of friends meet up in New Orleans for the weekend and we so happy with the house. The house was so spacious and all the beds were very big and comfortable. Our weekend was a huge success and so much fun in large part due to this wonderful place! Was so close and accessible to the Superdome, Bourbon St & Frenchmen St. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

Big event weekend
We were in town with our whole family for my oldest daughters graduation and Mother’s Day. There were 5 adults and 1 infant. The house was very spacious and we were thrilled to know they even had a pack n play for the baby so we didn’t have to bring one on the plane.
The location is great, easy to find and close to everything by Uber or trolley.
The house is very old but beautiful historic architecture.
The only issues were no privacy for the bedroom downstairs, the pocket doors didn’t work. My husband is unable to do stairs so that was a bit of a bummer.
The tv in the living room is hung way too high above the fireplace but thank goodness we didn’t have too much time for tv. The backyard did have some trash on the ground from previous guests and wasn’t cleaned up very well.
Overall this was a great property and we were all very pleased with everything it had for our stay.

Spacious
We were visiting for a small family reunion and it was recommended by our family there to stay in Uptown for safety. We had no issues in that regard. We were also close enough to easily make the trip to the quarter, and also to visit family in Metairie. The neighborhood was nice, we did not stay there much but did take a walk down to the restaurants which were fantastic. Side note, there is a school across the street so we woke up with the intercom during the mornings, it took a minute to figure out what it was :) Not a big deal at all, just kind of funny. The house was more spacious than I anticipated, it has been kept close to its historic design but with upgrades like kitchen appliances and electronics (Wifi and TV).

Quiet, comfortable home!
I organized a birthday gathering with 8 women to NewOrleans. The house was spacious, easily accommodating all of us! The kitchen was well stocked and laid out although we ate out exclusively. I particularly liked the genius idea of running power cords to the edge of each side of the beds! Perfect for keeping all our phones charged! The outside patio seating was great for morning coffee! The only thing I’d recommend is some shower strips or a mat in each of the bathtubs! Bottom line though, we all had a marvelous time! Thanks Yogi!

Fabulous uptown gem!
This house is truly an experience! The minute we walked in we loved it. The owners have maintained the unique and historical architectural elements, while updating the appliances and all the amenities (great kitchen, TVs in all bedrooms etc). We loved the two staircases - my kiddos had a blast. Great location- just a few blocks from a playground and Freret street with ice cream shop, restaurants etc. adults and kiddos were very happy..we didn’t want to leave ! The neighbors were friendly and hospitable. I would strongly recommend this house and property owner; accessing the house was easy. I’d definitely stay here again!

A New Orleans Oasis
What a wonderful place to stay for my daughter's medical school graduation. Plenty of room for our large family. Lots of street parking and walking distance to most everything we wanted to see. A quick Uber ride to the French Quarter. If we found ourselves in New Orleans again, we would definately rent this lovely house!

Great house for bigger groups!
It’s so hard to pick someplace to stay from photos, but if your traveling with a group, this 5 bed / 2 bath home is for you! We were a group of 9 (w/adult children). Great space gave room to come together and privacy when desired. The owner keeps the house well stocked with necessities. A quick call to Whole Foods (delivery) and we were set to go! Uber was an inexpensive way to get to the French Quarter and take in the sights and sounds! Owner allowed us to leave late so we didn’t have to hang out at the cruise port for hours. Great communication! Would highly recommend this house and Yogi!

Had everything we needed for s fun family weekend!
Home was very inviting and had more than enough room/ beds for our family of grown children and their preschool aged children. Close to some great restaurants. Host had great directions and advice for the area. Would recommend and would stay again!!

40th bday visit
Everything was very nice! We really enjoyed our stay. One suggestion is to put a caddy of some kind in or near the clawfoot tub upstairs as there is nowhere to put soap and toiletries. Thanks!

Perfect home for our stay in New Orleans
This is a beautiful early 20th century home with a quintessential New Orleans feel to it. It is located in a safe area (one of the biggest concerns for all of the wives in the party) that is about a 7-10 min Uber ride to Bourbon. There was plenty of room for our party and everything was clean and well maintained. The owner was easily accessible and extremely friendly; we had one minor issue with one of the door handles and she had it resolved in a matter of minutes.
I would definitely recommend staying at this location and hope to stay here again soon.

There was plenty of room for our whole family! We really enjoyed the old New Orleans feel!
This Home was exactly what our family hoped for a weekend get away! The kids enjoyed having their own rooms and plenty of room to play and hang out. The back patio was perfect for the adults to enjoy a glass of wine and a little quiet. We just loved being able to experience an old New Orleans neighborhood and home! It took my husband back to his med school days when he lived right off Magazine! And we were glad that we took your recommendation for Dat Dog - super relaxed atmosphere and great food and beer. This was the first time we have used VRBO and we will definitely be repeat customers.
