Location, view, staff is fantastic! Directly on the beach with beautiful panoramic view from the apartment. Cathelin and Joel is very kind and helpful. The onsite restaurant is good, and the next one also fine. We went to Saona and Catalina islands with a private boat, organised by the restaurant staff, departing directly from the beach in front of the hotel.
In the three-bedroom apartment the terrace is not connected directly to the apartment. Sometimes problems with water and smell in the bathroom, no mosquitonets, no clothes dryer, and the upper room is only for animal lovers. However, we spent there a week, and really enjoyed it.

Very Good staff, very good cleaning room service, nice patio
Noisy room in front of the entry hall
6.0
Great location literally ON the beach and pleasant private patio
Extremely noisy (clients of the restaurant, staff in the corridor with loud music/video all day and most of night).
AC leaking over the bed.
Torn shower hose.

beautiful view of the sea
Make sure you have dollars cash on you, they don't accept credit card, but invite you to withdraw from the ATM in the lobby. The problem is that the ATM is giving pesos only and the exchange rate the hotel staff is adopting to calculate the room rate in pesos is a steal...

I Absolutely LOVED my stay here! The room was super clean, cool AC, Hot water, soap/shampoo, small kitchen w/ fridge, super comfy queen bed - soft cotton bedding, great pillows, Great towels, small extras. Superb view right from the bed! My own patio. Quiet location ( sleep to sound of waves ) Friendly and Positive staff. I can't say enough + about this place - Many thanks to Edwin! You guys are all angels in my book! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Look forwrad to returning to this Charming Hostal. :-))) btw - They also have an adorable waterfront restaurant directly off the back of the hotel! The prices seemed reasonable - Bayahibe truly is a special place.

You would never guess this hotel is right on the water when you see it from the front, but the water views are amazing, especially at sunset.

Location is fabulous. We could spend all day on this beautiful terrace just looking to the see. We also appreciated complementary fruits from owners, which we had even for our 1-night stay.
Equipment and furniture is a bit outdated.

Me and my girlfriend spent here our fourth night in domenican republic. The place is very familiar inside a restuarant. At the beginning it can seem a bit strange since the room has a little terrance directly on the restuarant terrance, but anyway 4 meters by the sea! The doubtful sensation had arriving at the structure vanished at night time when we've been able to fell asleep with the sound of the sea. Amazing!
The best part of the place though is not the room itself but javier, an amazing host. We managed to book with him late night for the next morning a tour at isla saona, at a very fair price and paying with credit card without any additional fees charged. Almost unique in domenican republic. Furthermore, since the room was not booked for the night after, javier kept our room and allowed us to shower once back from the isla saona trip.
Felt like at home and amazed with javier kindness.
Totally recomended for bayahibe.

Beach-view room

We had a ground floor sea view room. It has a balcony, with the tables of the bar/restaurant just half a level below.
The bar/restaurant was not in use when we were there. There are windows on the balcony which would deflect some of the noise, I reckon. We watched the sun set into the sea from the balcony - wonderful!
The staff were very friendly but their command of English was limited. We'd stay here again if we come back to Bayahibe.

We had apartment with 3 bedrooms on the 3d floor of this building (2 bedrooms on lower floor + 1 bedroom on upper floor). Also we had 3 bathrooms! Interior of the apartment is perfect! Many interesting details in veeery dominican style:)
We were surprised to have breakfast though i do not remember it was mentioned at the moment of booking.
We liked we could cook for the child, we found pan and other stuff for the cooking, we also were glad to have the opportunity to make coffee. Also we had a pack of milk and juice in refregirator - nice.
Our son was glad to have Netflix :)
The main plus of the apartment is VIEW. Amazing. The sea is just under the feet :)
Negative point is: noone from the staff speaks English. This is very inconvenient! English is INTERnational language and of course travellers expect to speak English. At least at reception desk.
It feels like a bit sand under the feet into the lower floor of apartment even after cleaning.
They do not accept credit cards.

location, right next to sea
paella from the restaurant
Bayahibe in general is really nice small village
the staff was not that friendly and welcoming
no cleaning in the room during the stay
no breakfast (which were known of course when booked, but still a minus)
the rooms have almost zero noise insulation so all sounds from the corridors and from the terrace of the restaurant will be heard in/out from the rooms. luckly most of the places will shut down latest on 10 pm and after that it just relaxing sea sounds.

Location is beautiful, right on the water.
Cleaner bedding would have been nice and maybe some included food considering the price.

Best location and nice friendly stuff
There were a lot of ants

Great location, right on the beach. Good spot to go for a day trip on Soana Island as the boats departs from this location. This place is a good alternative if you are just passing by.
The bed was not comfortable (very hard cushions) bed sheets and towels were not super clean.
Very very low water pressure and we had no water at all in the morning of our departure which was very inconvenient. Room is not built with quality and is a bit run down.
