There was no breakfast services available. Location was great 😊
Nothing to mention

It was very quaint but amazing, lying in a fabulous residential area only 10 mins walk from the train station and two minutes from the most amazing Temple in a nice quiet area. The man in reception spoke excellent English which was helpful to find our way around. The suite was wonderful with a beautiful big bathroom. An excellent free laundry was available for use as well.

The bed is so comfy. Love the spacious bathtub and Jacuzzi. Walking distance to train station.
Washing machine is not in the room. Carpet seems a bit dirty. Preferably remove the carpet for hygiene purpose.

Wifi was very slow and the connection was weak.

Very spacious and comfortable rooms, located very close to the Kyoto station. By far, the best part of this hotel is the people who run it: helpful and very friendly. If I could give this hotel a 20/10, I would!

Staff was wonderful, my room was incredibly clean and I loved the way it looked. I loved the modern bathroom and other amenities
The view was unfortunate, but I know that is out of the staff’s hands. Also a member of our friend group had trash still residing in his room. Our rooms must’ve been cleaned by two different people haha

Spacious, bath/shower and outdoor spa, smart TV, walking distance to Kyoto station if not carrying bags, free laundry
Heaters are not very strong, wallpaper was damaged, laundry was hard to find and not clear on how to use it for English speakers

Location was not as convenient as what we thought, no convenience store nearby, nearest bus stop is 10 mins away, nearest train station is 15 mins away

Facility and staff was amazing. Stayed in one of there suites with jacuzzi. 10 minute walk from the station. They held our luggage early in the morning the day we checked in. When we came back to check in they had already placed our luggage in our room, which was very nice and convenient. English translation was very impressive.

It's comfortable and reasonable price!
Little bit bigger kitchen.

It was too good that we felt bad for paying so little! We wanted to leave 100 euros for tip!
Nothing!

All the staff at Shiki were very polite and accommodating. Email communication was easy and timely. The facility was clean, and having the kitchenette was very helpful for our 2-week stay. We had to say that we received above-and beyond-service by a housekeeper, though. She made sure all our questions about room services were answered, followed up on our request, offered to call taxi for us upon our departure, and even saw us off on the street.
The bed mattress was a bit on the hard side for my sensitive body, but the staff was so thoughtful and took out an extra bed topper for me.
We could hear the neighbors, but it got quiet enough to sleep after 10pm.

Very spacious, comfortable, and clean. Personal microwave was a plus. Two air conditioning units as the space was so wide. Beautiful bathroom. Hotel Netflix was very welcome.
Small bathtub, only one pair of glasses provided. Bed was not that comfortable.

The property was in a quiet location, which was great to come back to after a day of sightseeing. The room was clean and had several amenities, which was a nice perk! The staff were very helpful and made our stay super easy and smooth. Would recommend!

Excellent experience! The owner and staff were extremely amazing and provided great hospitality. Very fun to talk to! We stayed a week and spent almost every evening in the bar/cafe and the food and drinks were delicious. The room was very clean and spacious with a beautiful bathroom and separate bedroom suite. The kitchenette had everything we needed if we decided to stay in. I absolutely loved this hotel and will definitely return any time we’re in town!
Loved everything!!

Horrible internet. Usually not working

-I liked the layout and ambience of the room.
-Plenty of hangers and cutlery for 2 guests (may be tight for 4 guests).
-Fridge had a freezer if you have plans of purchasing a pint or a box of ice cream from the neighboring shopping mall, Aeon.
-All staff were nice and friendly. I enjoyed the daily early morning chit-chat with the lady who prepared us breakfast.
-Location was close to the station and in a residential area. Was quiet.
-All non-smoking rooms. Rooms smelled fresh and new.
-Smoking area is outside near the entrance.
-According to my mum who joined me on this trip, there was noticeable dust on the the back of the sofa, sliding door ledges, air conditioner and ventilator filters and a left over pistachio on the night table. Perhaps for neat freaks, more attention to detail required.
-Variety in breakfast menu would've been nice. Especially for those staying for more than 3 nights.
-The bathroom remained moist for hours.

bathroom was ok; beds too
very friendly staff
distance from kyoto station ok, some 10 minutes walk to take subway or buses
calm area
good dining in evening ... not expensive
sitting area not comfortable or usefull (dark and bad sofa that was too low to sit in )
breakfast was limited choice : only 4 plates to choose and 1 drink included... so no orange juice and coffee combined is possible unless if u pay extra ....
is out of center; nothing to see around - need to walk to the station to get a bus or subway to the city
other guesthouse in front seemed to be cheaper - around 80 euros
