Room is quite noisy and curtains cannot be closed properly. Soap was missing in the toilette

We were supposed to be staying next door but got upgraded to the hotel. The beds were comfortable- we slept in one of them between us.
No kettle- we do like a coffee in bed whilst doing our Spanish lessons, emails etc. We struggled with the WiFi. Lee couldn’t sort the heating hence sharing one bed.

Near the ocean, street parking available, facility had kitchen and other areas.
I reserved a single room with private bath and I got a four bunk bed room which I didn't care for but I was too tired to try to correct it.

Super friendly & professional staff at the adjoining Juan Montiel hotel
- The private bathroom in the 4-bed room is not really “private”. Simply a shower and a loo installed in the corridor and separated with thin and semi-transparent doors. Not really suitable for strangers sharing the room.
- Some cockroaches around (I personally don’t care but know some people would).
- 2 power sockets for 4 people; in the corridor (?!).

It's a pleasant place, modern and clean. Room was good if you're on your own (due to covid currently one dorm per booking). Good kitchen and recreational areas, very close to the beach and easy to get to the town and explore by foot.

Sturdy bunks. Clean. Nice kitchen and common area.
No curtains on the bunk. Automatic light in the bathroom, toilet super small. Sometimes the sliding door to the bathroom did not open because the salida sign gets stuck on the door frame. The code for the lockers was easy to guess. So not secure at all. Walls paper thin and no sound insulation, you can hear people snoring in the next room and when they talk it is as if they are in your room.

We were in the hostel the facilities were very good but there wasn't a kettle in the kitchen.

The female staff at reception and cleaners were very helpful.
The kitchen wasn't open when we first arrived and had to be opened for us from it being closed due to covid. We understand this, but there were also many facilities lacking e.g. a kettle and cereal bowls. The male receptionist we spoke to on several occasions was quite dismissive about our queries and seemed to be only doing the bare minimum. The walls were also very thin and conversations could be heard in the rooms on either side.

The property was connect to a 4 star hotel called Montiel.....
The staff was great. The front desk and the bartenders were awesome.
The design and layout was super modern.
The dorm bathroom are a bit small.
