About this house rental
Nestled at the bottom of Willsboro Bay on the Adirondack Gold Coast, where the mountains meet the lake, this home feels perfectly private, yet provides convenient access to Burlington, Plattsburgh, & Lake Placid.
200+ feet of waterfront shoreline creates the perfect setting for water activities such as paddleboarding, kayaking or a relaxing family flotilla. A 60 ft dock and convenient location to the public boat launch expands swimming, fishing and boating possibilities.
On sunny days, enjoy games on the expansive lawn or in the vintage paddle tennis court, which also features a basketball hoop. On rainy afternoons, the home is well appointed with board games puzzles, & cozy nooks designed for curling up with a good book.
This home has all the amenities necessary for preparing meals together and enjoying unplugged family time. The large deck and sunroom are perfect spaces for gathering together. The master bedroom, sleeping porch, & bunk room style attic create the feeling of privacy when you need your own space.
This home has been lovingly renovated with modern conveniences, such as 3 all-new bathrooms, while carefully maintaining vintage details like the 1950s retro-style kitchen and original 1920s field stone fireplace ( we hope to have it functioning in the future, but no indoor fires for now). Cable and internet access are available for checking the modern world, but you won/t really feel like it!
At the end of the day, enjoy western views of Rattlesnake Mountain by the campfire, beautiful sunsets (Yes! Rare sunsets on the NY side of Lake Champlain), and starry nights chasing fireflies. You can even set your watch by the passing 11pm train which charmingly disappears into a tunnel across the bay. The boaters certainly know the legendary beauty of this spot, but you can have the privilege of enjoying it by land.

Sitting on the porch looking at the bay was very relaxing. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were new. Cute kitchen. We were able to make day trips to Burlington and Lake Placid. The host was helpful when I emailed and left instructions that were helpful.

Great early fall getaway
My husband and I stayed here in late September. It was a great base camp for exploring the Adirondack region. The house and location were peaceful and quiet.

Great place for the family
Beautiful home with amazing views of the lake. I loved sitting on the deck in the morning as the sun was coming up and the beautiful sunsets in the evening over the lake! Our boys absolutely loved their room- what kid wouldn’t love a whole open floor to themselves. Each had their own little nook and they loved the bean bag chairs! The house had everything we needed and was beautifully decorated. We spent a lot of time swimming off the dock and using the paddle boards and kayaks that came with the house. The owner was very helpful and easy to work with. Thanks for a great vacation on Lake Champlain!

Charming!
This home was a wonderful, comfortable summer respite. Everything was as described and communication was great. There was a wonderful notebook that provided very helpful suggestions for activities, restaurants, along with details about the house. I can’t wait to come back!

We didn't want to leave!
Charming cottage in an idyllic setting. KD was fantastic to work with and we enjoyed an amazing week with family . The only thing to improve upon would be letting guests know how difficult it will be to leave the perfect setting :). We want to go back already! Thanks for sharing your beautiful, well appointed home with us.

Complete Relaxation
Charming, relaxing, beautifully renovated and tastefully decorated; no detail of Matt and Kelly's lake house has been left untouched! My husband, two children, and I recently spent 8 nights here and have nothing but positive to say! The children fell in love with the upstairs space and quickly took it over. They spent the remainder of their vacation playing tennis, swinging in the hammock, tubing behind our family boat and swimming. I myself instantly went into relaxation mode upon entering the sunroom. The views and sunsets from this property are simply breath taking! This home has everything you could possibly need to completely enjoy the Adirondacks! Don't forget your water shoes as you will most certainly want to swim in the crystal clear waters of Lake Champlain! The campfires under the clear starry skies were certainly a place of relaxation for my husband! Memories that will last a lifetime were made here, and we very much look forward to staying again next summer!

A relaxing and charming gem!
This cottage is amazing! Clean and charming with fabulous touches around the home with all the modern amenities. It was hard to decide which comfy place to relax in! Plenty of privacy. Owner was easily accessible and description was accurate. We enjoyed use of the paddle boards and kayaks, as well as jumping off the dock, to access the lake. We enjoyed some local biking and felt safe on the roads. I would highly recommend this property and hope that I can visit here again.
