Convenient and comfortable. Clean and tastefully furnished. .

Excellent cleaning service. Pleasant design for kitchen and social dining area.

Shower cubicles very small...requiring exit to reclothe after use...with compromise to personal privacy in shared female bathroom. Difficult to avoid water from shower spraying on to bathroom floor...making a slip hazard. A bench for clothing and bath mats and floor mop would be helpful.

Near a bus stop, good equiped kitchen, friendly staff, bag storage, terrace to sit out on

The toilet paper for all of the women’s and men’s toilets ware stuck in the canister and when telling reception at 6pm they said “I don’t know how to fix it so it will have to wait until tomorrow” so none of the toilets had accessible toilet paper for the whole night.

A great choice for a few nights.

It is a spacious building, with showers for ladies only, with wide enough beds (with curtains, for privacy). There is a common room with TV and books, some games as well. The kitchen is well-equipped. Some people did cook. There is a fridge, too. The Minas Church and the bus stop are 1-2 minutes away, on foot. You can take the bus from the airport, and it drops you really near the accommodation. Then, the city centre is within walking distance. The bus can take you, conveniently, to Knossos and other places.

Nothing to dislike. Excellent stay for the money.

Nice building in good area of the city

Showers fixtures need maintenance and would be better have same gender dorms as some night the snoring from some men besides me was so loud even with earplugs in, and also I found when there is men in the room, the aircon was too strong.

An experience to be remembered

Beautiful rooftop and easy to access location.

Rooms were small and there was limited privacy. Water stopped working twice while we were there and both times they happened mid-shower.

Clean and tidy hostel in a great location.

Clean and tidy rooms and facilities, very helpful staff, great location and view from the roof top. Maybe the best hostel I've been to. Very honest price for what you get.

Simply perfect

Absolutely everything, the staff were so friendly and very helpful. The hostel was cleaned every morning. The room was spacious enough it wasn’t cramped up. The vibes of the hostel were social, I had so much fun on the rooftop with everyone. It’s everything you’ll need from a small city hostel. I’m definitely going again!

I would return in Heraklion only to stay here, again, and again

Everything, in this case more than ever, is everything. Location, facilities, people, all those meaninghful interactions you dream of when staying in hostels, all those cool poeple that are solo travelers and have a “big lugage” with stories and life experiences. I know the same people are in other hostels too but Intra Muros manages to create a space for all that to manifest. Besides all, when you have a morning chat with the women who is keeping the place sparkly clean and she tells you that she is respected and very well treated by the people she works with, you know you are in the right place. Came with big expectations, it was even better.

Friendly central hostel

I had a great time here. It had a good chilled out vibe, lovely staff, good kitchen facilities, hot showers and a comfy bed. What more could you want? Oh yeah, the rooftop terrace is fab too!

Not so good, not so bad

Friendly girl at the reception. Had to book and check in quite spontaneously because my flight was delayed and it was no problem. Beds have curtains, an own plug and a lamp, which were of good use. The kitchen seemed nicely equipped as well.

Could not sleep a single minute. Everyone seemed to try to be especially loud (guitar playing at 2 in the morning, watching some sportsgame with volume on the phone at one, juvenile pranking at more or less the same time… the list goes on). Not so tragic if it is an emergency situation as mine was, but I would not stay there again if I had other options.

Superb

Location is ideal, around 15 minute walk from the main Bus Station and around 5 minute walk from old town and main hub of activities in Heraklion. Beds were comfortable and the entire hostel was clean and well-kept. Friendly and super helpful staff.
