Location
Beds, room space, ,number of beds. No kitchen, no common area. If they call themselves surf lodge, where do guests keep their surf gear? Beds were uncomfortable, 20 years old shabby mattresses with some underneath support to keep guests spines intact. 6 beds in the room, with 2 mattresses under beds. I have never stayed in such depressive place. Owner woke us up at 7am telling us the somebody blocked the door. We said that they have CCTV camera, why ask us. They also woke us up 7am on the last day of our stay to remind us about our check out time at 10am. Seriously who does that?

Very humid and cold place. No soap to even wash hands. The location was good. The place was not clean.

Stacey was so welcoming and really made our stay there lovely. Location perfect, really felt cosy for mine and my daughter's four days away.
Walls a touch on the thin side and no double glazing, but no problems for us.

£90 was a lot for what we got

Cheap and cheerful but clean and a great location. Was concerned by some shocking reviews on Google but it was totally fine.

There was no provision for even a glass of water. It would've been best if some form of pantry access was allowed for.

Location was perfect. Bed really comfy, staff very friendly. Both room and bathroom very clean.
Shame about having to be on top floor and lugging suitcases but that can't be helped!

No parking but there’s a car park nearby

Fantastic location, great people. Honestly had more fun there than when I stayed in five star hotels

Location was brilliant (beware of drunks shouting at all hours at night but easily fixed by closing window and using fan in bedroom to keep cool).
Room was very comfortable and clean. Lovely little ensuite in our private double room and nicely decorated. Kettle and tv in room which was a pleasant surprise. Perfect place to stay at the heart of Newquay Town.
No aspect that we didn't like

Location.
Just a very close to high street.
Good for a couple in case there is no option.
I'm talking about the room no. 7 top floor.
Too noisy.
No hand wash, not even place to put our own shower gel or hand wash.
Stairs were small footer.
Towels were not very clean.
Whole night couldn't sleep due to a lot of noise coming from neighbouring rooms. Informed the caretaker but no response.
Everything was provided just for the sake of writing in the ad.
Parking problem.
Pressure in hand wash was too low in cold tap and too hot in the other one. Very, very difficult to wash hands.

Easy to find and in a great spot literally a 5 minute walk to any pub, restaurant ,clubs and the beach

Basic accommodation... but clean and Tom (owner/manager?)was a welcoming chap.
For the money and location, I'd say it's hard to beat. Probably wouldn't stay again but I'm a 46 year old bloke and I'm not really in the target market. If you just want a place to crash out after a few beers, then it's pretty much spot on!
