Great value for money hotel

The look and feel of the room was very nice! Spacious, great lighting, comfortable, lovely shower. Automated curtains and music when entering the room was a fun touch. Free breakfast was good for us and in general the breakfast facilities were very nice. The location was good too, the West Lake and Downtown areas both quite close and easy transport links around.

Just a few things brought this down from a perfect stay to an OK stay. First - when we arrived we found our room was very hot. It's mid November but the outside temperatures were still largely above 16 degrees C. We tried to put on air conditioning but the room kept getting hotter. We asked reception and they said that the whole hotel has now switched from cold AC to hot AC because it's "winter". So we had to just put up with leaving the window open hoping it would cool down (still a little warm for our liking). Just a bit annoying not having control over the temperature of the room. Secondly, our room was roadside and the sound of traffic was very noisy, especially because we had to keep our window open for the temperature.

Good overall, what we needed for a 1 day trip

Breakfast buffet was good! Location was good for what we needed. Were able to walk to a mall 15minutes away in order to grab dinner.

We called the hotel when we first got to Hangzhou because we needed the Chinese address, however no one picked up. We got a call back, but when we asked for English they hung up. Called back a couple of times and no one answered. Ended up figuring it out on our own.
