It was so quiet the first week of October. It was like we had the lake to ourselves. The cottage is well stocked and clean. The pictures are very accurate. Be advised that there is a lot of lake grass which would not be great for swimming. The use of the kayaks and canoe was such a plus. Would definitely come back in early October again!

We really enjoyed our stay in Pleasant Bay! Location is proximate to everything we were looking for. Great hiking, biking, exploring Middlebury, Burlington, and all that VT has to offer. Kayaking off the little pier was beautiful, both in early morning and evening. Having all the watercraft available was a great value! Lodging was as advertised. Perfect for two couples and the well-appointed kitchen/grill area made it easy for us to dine in if we weren’t going to eat out.
James was very responsive to any questions we had.
We’d choose to stay here again if the opportunity were to arise in the future.
Thanks for a great week!

The house was comfortable. The pictures are accurate. The deck and deck furniture badly need cleaning/pressure washing. The location is not good for swimming as the water is overgrown with grass. Also there are so many boats that it is difficult to get one out and into water. The cement pier is okay for entering and exiting small boats.

The pictures don't do justice for how beautiful the bay is! One of the most beautiful sunset's I have ever seen, in a canoe on the bay, it was magic!

Our best experience ever with a short rental on Lake Champlain! We loved the deck and grill / fire pit, the use of the kayaks. The beds were great and living area/kitchen had all we needed. Everything about the cottage felt recently upgraded and clean. James was so easy to deal with on any question. We look forward to returning next year!

We had a great time staying here. The house had everything you would need and the view was wonderful. It’s both close enough and far away enough form everything that Burlington has to offer. The bike path up there was a highlight as well as the Ethan Allen Cruise and the Champlain Valley Dinner Train. We also enjoyed the kayaks at the house as well.

Great location, great boating
The property was exactly as described. It was a great location, directly on the water, in a quiet cove with pleasant neighbors. The deck was particularly lovely, overlooking the water. There were about half a dozen boats (canoe, paddle board, and multiple kayaks) that we used quite a bit. It's a lovely location.

Absolutely perfect
This little house on the lake was perfect for our family. Close to Burlington and NY to hit all the touristy stuff and still have plenty of time kayaking the lake. James is very responsive and proactive, first rate host supplying everything we could think of!

Beautiful location at Pleasant Bay on Lake Champlain
Beautiful cottage in a great location, very quiet and peaceful setting. The kitchen is very well stocked. Great to sit on the deck and look out at the bay. There was no dishwasher or clothes washer/dryer, but we didn't miss it. We enjoyed the quiet, cottage life. Will definitely try to stay here again next time we are in North Ferrisburgh.

We would return again and again
James is a top shelf property manager. Thank you for the bottle of wine. Adorable cottage, great location, well equipped kitchen, nice sized deck, 2 nice sized bedrooms, good WIFI and ROKU on TV.
Very peaceful and quiet even on the weekend, and it seems like it is your own private cove. Parking is secure. A wonderful place to relax, and still be close to Burlington or Middlebury. We will be back!

Great Getaway
What a lovely home. The owners even left us milk and a bottle of wine in the fridge! He was very communicative, and the house was in perfect order. Very close to the beaches and area activities. The water was warm and clear, and the kids loved playing outside in the lake water in the afternoons! HIGHLY recommended.

Great stay on the lake
This was a great spot for a week in VT. Shallow water near the cottage was great for kids, and we all enjoyed the kayaks, canoe, and paddle boards. Easy drives to Shelburne, Burlington, and Montpelier. Fantastic host with great communication. Thank you!

The essence of Vermont summertime
Cozy and well maintained. An updated old school Vermont summer camp on Town Farm Bay. The host’s attention to detail shows in every way from the naturalistic landscaping to the availability of kayaks and canoe. Quiet and nature surround you. Perfect for a couple or small family. Highly recommended. We will certainly return.

I spent three weeks and was so sad to leave. A very special property in a perfect location. The cabin had everything we needed for a peaceful visit and the landlord was so helpful and responsive. We loved the access to the lake, kayaks, canoe and nature. A great spot. Can't wait to go back.

Cottage Heaven
This small cottage was perfect for our family -- well laid-out and appointed house (well-stocked with kitchen equipment and dishes for cooking). We loved the easy access to the water and the various small watercraft. We spent a lot of time on the deck watching wildlife: eagles, ducks, great blue hereon, river otters. We plan to return. James is a kind and attentive landloard/property manager!

A great getaway.
This property is a relaxing and comfortable getaway for a week or more of R&R at a reasonable waterfront price with a pleasant view of the bay. My only suggestion is that the description should mention the very shallow water in the bay. It really is not deep enough for serious swimming, although suitable for young children to wade and for dogs to swim. The property is very well equipped, from kitchen supplies to a good gas grill, to a pair of kayaks that are perfect for the shallow water. Recommended.

Loveliness on the Lake
We love this house on a tranquil cove! The host was super helpful and communicative. This knotty pine cottage was immaculately clean, stocked with everything you need from soap to kitchen gear, even a welcome bottle of wine. Sheets and towels were all highest quality and abundant, and beds were comfy. There is an AC, and fans, with lots of windows with screens, but best of all, the view of the Lake! We loved hopping on the SOPs, kayaks and canoe and paddling out to explore and commune with the birds and fishes. We highly recommend this easy to access, wonderfully managed place.

Wonderful stay!
Had a great stay at this cottage! It’s a little small but was perfect for the 4 of us (2 adults, a one year old, and six year old). Clean and comfortable beds and sheets, and plenty of large fluffy towels. Great location. We went to many state parks, Burlington, Shelburne Farms, Waterbury, biking etc. We are now in love with Vermont, and would definitely stay here again!
