Historic Beach House with Pool, Spectacular Ocean Views
¡Bienvenido a Allamanda House! Al entrar en los escalones de la casa, te saludan con el encanto del viejo mundo y la elegancia local. Al final de la habitación, encontrará el armario para ropa blanca con lavadora y secadora. Al lado del armario para ropa blanca se encuentra el baño que se comparte con el segundo dormitorio (el baño se encuentra entre las dos habitaciones con dos camas).
El segundo dormitorio es similar al primer dormitorio, con dos camas individuales y ropa de cama ambrosia. Esta habitación tiene vista al jardín y una puerta que da acceso al patio trasero.
Se accede al dormitorio principal, con baño en suite, desde el porche delantero a través del tercer conjunto de puertas francesas para una máxima privacidad. (No se conecta internamente con el resto de la casa). El marco de la cama también está hecho con ropa de cama de madera flotante y ambrosía. Cuenta con un dosel / mosquitera si desea abrir las puertas durante la noche para disfrutar de la brisa del mar. Esta habitación tiene hermosas vistas del océano, similar a la vista desde el porche.
Cada habitación de la casa está equipada con su propia unidad de aire acondicionado y ventilador de techo. Otras comodidades incluyen WIFI, teléfono fijo y TV con reproductor de DVD (pero no TV por satélite o por cable), y DOS KAYAKS EN EL MAR!
Allamanda está a solo 100 pies de una piscina grande y encantadora. You can't beat the view from the Allamanda porch and the close proximity to the ocean and pool. We've stayed at 5 other properties on Eleuthera over the past 13 years and we feel like Allamanda is nice for the price. We spent most of our three weeks on the porch, in the pool and the ocean. Allamanda had better water pressure than anywhere else we've ever stayed on Eleuthera. Actually, it's better than the water pressure at home!Allamanda House could use some TLC. It's overdue for a thorough cleaning and painting inside. Flies were in the kitchen and living room every night and swarms of termites come out of the ceiling when it rains. The screen porch needs some patching - it kept most bugs out, but we had a snake visit us on the porch. The furnishings are quaint/dated. The kitchen needs to be restocked. There weren't many tall glasses, the blender was gone. The glasses that were there seemed permanently dirty. There were nice, new pots and pans. The master bedroom is beautiful. The beds are very old - we didn't find them comfortable. The bathrooms could use a thorough cleaning. Allamanda had nice, new beach chairs and umbrellas, as well as access to a fun beach hut. The beach was perfect. Due to the layout, we were glad it was just the 2 of us. We often travel with friends, but this house wouldn't have been comfortable with another couple. The property manager was still cleaning the house when we arrived at 4:00. She finished at 5, the house wasn't very clean. She was kind enough to lend us a blender and hairdryer and purchase some washcloths. But she messaged me early in the morning repeatedly to see if we would hire her to clean and texted/called me repeatedly after midnight the night before we left to make sure we didn't take her blender/hairdryer/washcloths. The pool was lovely when it was clear. It was too cloudy to swim in 7 out of our 21 days. You go to Eleuthera f

GREAT LOCATION! The house was very comfortable. We stayed for a Month my two children (14yr old Daughter, and 7yr old son), as well as my Parents. Upon arrival the house wasn’t ready - we tried to kill some time and come back and they were finishing up and we were able to get in 2hr after check-in.
The beds were very comfortable, the house is set up well for family dinners, game night on the screened in patio. The pool is a few steps down the hill, and as other reviews have said, it’s true we had the pool to ourselves most always.
We did not have wifi for 2.5weeks of the month, which wasn’t ideal, however there was a pretty solid dvd collection.
All and all, it was a great summer, filled with many memories of Friday night fish fry’s, tippy’s, la boganvilla, 1648, The front porch (rest) swimming with pigs, snorkeling with seahorses, the swings in the middle of no where, and lots of fishing.
A few hiccups with plumbing, wifi, and check-in. But all and all good stay!

The location of this house is ideal. So close to many food places. The beach is beyond gorgeous and we only saw 3 people during the entire week we were there. The pool was clean and again, never saw anybody else using it. We especially liked the huge screened in patio!! I would rent again!

Family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My favs were the (1) morning coffee on the porch hearing the Atlantic (2) the beach just a hop skip and a jump away was sublime. Soft sand and pinkish in color. Kids enjoyed the waves. I saw a few people during our stay but not many (3) my wife enjoyed the pool (4) the outdoor shower. We absolutely loved our stay at the Allamanda House. It is beautiful. The house itself is so charming with the stonework and the wrap around patio, the decor is minimal, clean (so clean!!) and beachy. It's perfectly landscaped with a view of the ocean. We had a 2 year old and an 8 year old with us so we loved the screened in patio. It was the perfect place for the kids to play and be close by while we were making meals or getting ready to head out for the day. We also enjoyed this space at night after the kids went to bed! You just walk out the back porch and down a few steps to the pool, and then a few more steps to the beach. The house even had beach blankets and chairs and umbrellas we could use. And lots of towels!! Right next door (a 3 min walk) there is a restaurant with a swim up bar, that serves lunch and dinner, fun for kids and adults!
The property manager was extremely helpful, she made a few recommendations for excursions that she claimed were the best, and they truly were. Anytime we needed something, a car seat, a playpen, she made arrangements for us and just made things appear!
I really loved every corner of this house. And the proximity to the pool and the beach. We hope to come back again and stay for longer!!

Stately stone home, well maintained and welcoming
We had a great stay in Allamanda House. We loved the solid stone structure and huge screened in porch overlooking the ocean affording lots of breeze. The orientation of the house makes it feel very private. The bedrooms and living area are generous, the kitchen small but well equipped. Misty looked after us on arrival and the few small things that needed attention were dealt with promptly and gracefully. The location is excellent, with direct beach access and minutes by car from Governors for shopping and restaurants. Lovely island, lots to explore!

We loved staying at Casa Allamanda. If anything, the house is more charming than the pictures show. We appreciated the tile floors, the great air conditioning and as others have mentioned the wonderful screened in front porch with its fantastic view of the turquoise ocean in the distance. The pool was beautiful and large and while we were there, we were the only ones to use it. It’s a great beach with soft white sand and just a couple of minutes walk from the house. When there was a small problem with the wifi, someone came out and fixed it in quick order. It was a wonderfully relaxing stay.

My husband and I rented alone on a spur of the moment. The house speaks to romantic trips alone. Masterbed (queen)draped in a mosquito nettingwas beautiful. A second bedroom had a king and another bathroom. There was never anyone in the pool at the same time. Candles everywhere. A double chaise lounge on the screened patio let us watch stars with wine at night. A little thatched hut at the beach with 2 lounge chairs. A private little stair case down to pool which was clean. We stopped there after beach everyday. Never saw anyone on the beach in front of the house. Th View was simply amazing. AC and Fridge/Freezer worked very well- cold. House had everything, including basic condiments and cleaning supples. A restaurant and pool bar are within walking distance. Misty was quick to answer emails but didnt come bug us, which was great. We had awesome snorkeling just down the beach in front of the capsized catamaran to the south. Little beach caves within walking distance were great to find and explore. Water was crystal clear. Town for supples and more restaurants was 10 minute drive. Neighborhood was secure. Locals at the bar were nice. House was clean. I was worried when I read Historic but we were delightfully surprised. Awesome house. And Eleuthera is absolutely gorgeous.

It is comforatble, clean and well stocked with everything you could need for a great week at the beach! The screened in porch, large doors, beautiful new grill were some of the many highlights! Great house and location
We just spent 11 nights at Allamanda House with our three teenagers. It's really lovely. The screened porch is about 60 feet long and is where we spent all of our time. The view is beautiful. The huge pool is at the bottom of a set of stairs and the beach is a 1 minute walk down the community road. An unexpected bonus was the boat ramp on the Caribbean side of Wykee Estates. We went over there almost every day and our teenagers had a great time jumping off the cliffs/rocks into the water. We snorkeled over there as well. The kitchen was well stocked with all the amenities we needed. The property manager and housekeeper each checked in with us every couple of days to see if we needed anything. The house is historic and charming as stated in the description so if you value gleaming new cabinets, showers and granite countertops, this is not the house for you. If you value a nice, relaxing vacation in a lovely home in a beautiful location, then rent Allamanda House.

Beautiful view, lovely neighborhood
We just returned from a wonderful week stay in Allamanda House with 2 of our children (ages 16 & 24). The house itself is quaint and charming with a beautiful view. The Wykee Estates neighborhood is quiet and very well kept with lovely vegetation. We met several other couples staying in other homes in the neighborhood, all of whom said they would come again. Absolutely perfect island getaway!
We stayed at Allamanda for one month. We are very lucky. We did not know much about Eleuthera or the Bahamas before we went, nor had we ever done VRBO/Homeaway. Our vacation could not have been more perfect and we attribute most of that to ALLAMANDA HOUSE!
The house is just like the pictures.. and more. We loved all the Bahamian art, furniture, etc. But beyond all, we loved the screened in porch that extended the entire house. Two bedrooms and the living room face the porch. You can hear the waves all day, the porch is never in the sun, so it is always a nice temperature, it has fans, lights, and three different seating areas. This will now become my true ideal for a vacation! And I am even now looking for a home that has similarities!
The pool was just a few steps down from the house. This is the only house in the 8-house neighborhood that has direct access to the pool. It feels like YOUR OWN! And then a few more steps and you have the beach. You can bounce back and forth. Perfection! As for the beach, we experienced big waves and more calm days. A little of both. The sand was so soft and pink. Beyond sensational!
The Sky Club is next door. We loved going there. It turns out its actually open to the public! (We thoughts wed have to buy a drink). So we would go there in morning and swim and/or hot tub. And of course eat there throughout trip.
The gardens on the property were lovely and fun to explore. The caretaker was there to help! Matt, the property manager could not have been more helpful in selecting a house for us or helping answer questions along the way. This location is great because it is in the middle of the island. So you can get to north or south in an hour. And you can hit all the fun events during week without a long drive. A lot happens right around this area so it is a good place.
I have been telling people, this is the first time I have done on vacation and not had "house or hotel envy." We loved every inch of this house and the experience it provided us! It was a true vacation and gave us the opportunity to live island life, if just for a little while. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS FOR SHARING YOUR HOME WITH US!
