Every place has a catch, they said. But now I'm a believer that that is not the case. Passing by Domoši on a big roadtrip, we didn't expect much. But the place itself is stunningly beautiful, the hosts have an inspiringly positive attitude and are happy to share their self-made food, wine and much more. We visited so many places in the Balkans and few have stayed in our mind as well as this magical stay. I mean, they cook better than all the chefs of Dubrovnik and charge half the price, that alone was just awesome.

The road to the village is very narrow and hard to navigate, but that's just how it is.

This place is something special, everything from the tricky road in, to the family, to the amazing home made food and drinks to the extraordinary views!

Everything was perfect! The hosts are so nice and their homemade wine and food they kindly offered us were sublime.

This is more than a normal accommodation! The lovely family of the house is so warmhearted, welcoming, open, and engaging. Especially for me as a solo traveler, this was the best start into my Montenegro adventure as possible, because I felt so integrated and cared for. They explained me everything about the small village and they are so passionate about their life there. And it's such a remote, peaceful and quiet place! From the room perspective: super clean, comfortable, beautiful views... Nothing more to ask for! I hope to be back very soon :)

Loved absolutely everything! Staying at this house is an experience itself. Run by exceptionally warm, kind and welcoming family. We could get a proper taste of locals' lives, dive into their daily routine and habits. Aleksandr and his parents are the best hosts we could meet in Montenegro. We had nice talks, amazing turkish style coffee, tasted grapes growing over our heads on the terrace, tried delicious homemade food, degustated domestic wines and rakija, took an incredible cruise in a wooden boat on the lake and simply spent an amazing time! It's the best choice for staying in the Skadar Lake area!

The scenery was beautiful, the room was clean and comfortable and the hosts were the friendliest people you would ever meet! The home cooking was also some of the nicest food we have ever had.

Cozy village house in the valley near the Skadarsko lake. You will get a mountain view and the most friendly host family. Alexander thank you for your hospitality it was terrific. FOOD Everyone who reads this, please try the food at this location. We spent seven days in Montegero and ate in different places from Tivat (Roberto More) to North Mountains (Mustuluk restaurant) but the food in the host apartment beats all of them. Thanks, Alexander, your mother, and your father one more time. Хвала!

Me, my girlfriend and our dog have loved this place! Hosts are amazing, extremely kind to give you the best experience you might imagine. Do not miss the opportunity to try home cooking, you will regret it forever! We would have loved to stay some days more but we had to go. don't let it get away, choose this solution!

The area has outstanding natural beauty and the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable however the thing that really makes this place rise above is the kind hearted and welcoming family that run it, the son is passionate about the town and happy to inform you about its great history and surroundings and the father and mother make you feel as if you are in the company of your own family,, felt at home from the minute we arrived I couldn't recommend this place more and the food is good enough to make you want to change your plans and stay forever!! Absolutely nothing 😁

We stayed for 1 night at the end of a two week stay in Montenegro. The location on the lake is spectacular and beautiful and the host made us ( A family with 3 adult children) feel part of his own family. I recommend eating here. We had locally caught carp from the lake cooked by the mother of the house. Probably the best meal we had in Montenegro!! The three rooms were clean and well equipped with great views. If you are driving by car you will need to come before 6pm as the mountain road is closed after that as it not lit. This is not a made-up road so it can be slow progress as its 6.5km from the main highway. There is another road (track is a better description) out by the river which goes through some very pretty scenery. This if anything added to our visit. Boat trips etc are all available here.

We had a great stay here. Make sure you have google maps or equivalent on your phone as the car we hired didn't have a great Sat Nav and didn't recognise the location. We used the phone so make sure you have a mobile data plan. Montenegro is not in Europe of course.

You feel home here. Lovely family is running this beautiful place. The food was great and all from their garden. And they fish themselves too.

Fantastic place wonderful friendly family run business . Super ,home cooked home grown food and plenty of it - the best, an education of the taste buds. . Was taken on a boat tour of the lakes . Words hard to describe how truly unique and wonder this place and family are, made you feel like one of the family - wonderful wonderful place and people.

We loved this place!!! Nicest family I ever meet, we already miss them. Open and friendly for all guests. Food was delicious, room was very nice, house is located in beautiful and quiet area, lot to do there. We were there with our 2 little dogs which were also very welcome.Thank you for great time at Lotus House.

One word; Amazing! We have stayed at Lotus House for two nights and it was very Nice. The owners are very sweet and they want you to feel welcome. You can have breakfast, lunch and diner. Expect big portions, but really really good food! Little tip: inform them in the beginning of your stay if you want to have breakfast/diner.

Extremely grateful to the hosting family. Beautiful location and very good value for money. Make sure you eat at home, the host is a master cook. And ask for their home wine!! We loved our kayak trip, which you can arrange with owners. One word of caution to drivers - road is not particularly good (more like a field road with some stones) so be careful when driving.

Dodoši is a remote paradise. Alexander met us in Podgorica at the trainstation. Crossing the mountains with the car during sunset and looking down on Dodoši gave us a first glimpse of the beauty we enjoyed the next days. Dodoši is pure, unspoilt nature, discovered just by few people. The guesthouse is full of hospitality and friendship. The food was always too much. The best we had during our holiday. Alexander's mother prepares the crops of the garden, the fish Alexander's father caught and the beef the relatives have raised. Honey came from the own bees in the garden. We enjoyed swimming in the lake, relaxing in the shade. Alexander took us out on a boat trip. We learned a lot about fishing and nature. We felt alwalys like friends of the family. Our rooms and the shared bathroom was always spotless clean. We extended our stay and we would love to return.

All the family is welcoming, you get the feeling to be at home with a beautiful view! I strongly recommend it :)

We had a super nice stay at Lotus House. Sasha and his parents warmly welcomed us in their house. Sashas mum cooked a super tasty traditional dinner for us and later one we enjoyed a nice evening with homemade wine all together. On top the apartment is surrounded from beautiful natur, rivers and the Skadar lake. There is nothing more needed for a perfect holiday in Montenegro. We will come again :)

I think there is not enough space here to describe how much we enjoyed our stay at the Lotus. Starting with the host, who, despite the fact that we arrived earlier, welcomed us with delicious juice and homemade rakija. The house is really fantastic. Spacious, comfortable, atmospheric and this is always very important to us. A view of the mountains that you can enjoy every time you step into the house or during a delicious home-cooked meal. But the most important thing is that you can see the heart of the host here. The fact that he really cares about the guests being satisfied, they feel taken care of and that the host is always ready to help. I highly recommend the food offered by the host. If you like to try the local cuisine at its best, don't look for meals in the local Wrocław. Nobody will feed you better than Ms. Mother Host :) The food there is simply one of a kind. The boat trip on the lake offered by the Host was great. Beautiful nature and peace with an ideal dose of interesting information. I highly recommend everyone to stay at the Lotus in Dodosi. I promise no one will be disappointed. We will come back there for sure :)

All of the food served here comes from the garden, and from the family's fishing exploits. From the moment you arrive, you are made to feel totally at ease and at home. We're definitely going to come back again for a weekend retreat from the "big city". Dodosi is the perfect place to unwind. 100% recommend! Our dog had an excellent time too!

The owners could not be more helpful. We felt like we were part of the family! The apartment is in a lovely location, the area is very peaceful and calm. You can rent a bikes, book a boat tour, horse riding - all can be organized with the owners help. And I must mention about the food. Food was fantastic - great choice and freshly cooked. The portions are huge. The price was very reasonable for the service and quality of the apartment and I would love to stay here again!

The owner stayed up for me until 10 PM. Fantastic location off the beaten path. Great views of the sunrise from Karuc which is about 4 km from the property.

The final 7.5 km can be harrowing for the faint hearted. But keep true to your course and you will reach it. It might look scary (especially in the dark), but drive carefully and you will get there.
