"Cupids Key" Vistas (unidad 2C en Buttonwood Reserve Oceanfront Condominium Resort) es una unidad en el último piso, que incluye una vista envolvente de dos océanos, mirando hacia el oeste sobre el Caribe para la puesta de sol y al este hacia el Atlántico para la salida del sol . We had such a great stay at buttonwood. The location was perfect for us being north of governors harbor. We loved all of the amenities including the pool, chairs and umbrellas for the beach, the golf carts, and our favorite part: THE COMPLETELY PRIVATE BEACH for miles and miles. I used a drone to check it out, there is miles and miles of pink sand beach all to yourself. like no one else. The apartment was perfect for us with views of both oceans and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was also a nice touch for them to give laundry and dishwasher detergent and things like that. The AC was AMAZING. Brett took care of us the whole time and gave us tips on where we could get fresh fish or which beach to go to. There were some ants while we were there but we didn't bother brett about it because that's part of being on the island. The Wifi was great and the Tv was decent. We had such a nice trip and we plan on coming back to buttonwood and maybe with a big crowd since they have so many condos. It's really perfect for big families! It was perfect for us!

We brought a team of youth and adults down to the island to do some mission work. The accommodations were great for our large group - the main lodge provided enough room for our large group time and meals. Matt, Brett, and the entire team were super responsive. We would definitely stay here again!

Great experience at Buttonwood. Pictures we viewed when making our decision were accurate. Wonderful private beach that is part of miles and miles of remote beaches. Easy to grab one of buttonwood’s golf cart, for free, to take to the private/remote beach. Real close to two bar/restaurants that certain days of week have music. One of thee places, Delich, has unbelievable staff and food right on the beach!! Very nice kitchen we used to cook once in a while. Beautiful views from patio to watch sunset with a drink. The staff a buttonwood is most friendly and responsive. We didn’t use the pool, but a number of other guests did and they seemed to really enjoy its cleanliness and comfortable temperature.

We rented the entire complex. It was a great place for a family reunion. The view was magnificent and it was really fantastic to be able to go to the roaring Atlantic and the calm Caribbean. The golf carts were a great help and there were plenty of kayaks and paddle boards available. There are several things though that were inconvenient. The airport and the only food market of any size is a 40 minute drive. If the supply boat hasn't been in recently it is out of stock of some things. The price of food and drink is three times what you would pay in the US. There are a few small restaurants nearby that have very limited menus and are very expensive. We went to a great restaurant in Governor's Harbor called The Buccaneer Club.(20 minute drive). It was expensive but we didn't mind paying for it because the menu was diverse and the food was good. Unless there's a stiff breeze the no-see-ums are going to get you at or after dusk. Bring date and baby oil and lather up if you're going to walk outside from one condo to the other.

Buttonwood Reserve
Overall, the property is nice. The condo unit was as pictured. Location wise, the property is fairly central but you will have to drive to any dining or shopping locations. The short walk to the rocky beach is doable, but note all the kayaks have holes in the bottom (from being drug up/down the hill incline to get to the beach) and therefore do not stay afloat for long. The golf cart ride to the Atlantic is rough, but fun. What is not fun is the unreliable nature of the golf carts and supplied beach equipment. Our neighbors borrowed our golf cart after theirs broke down 10 minutes down the path. We tried 2 umbrella's and both were broken/inoperable (discovered only when we tried to open them at the beach). We were able to find 4 working chairs that sufficed. We lost power temporarily but most problematic was losing water for 2 days in our building/unit. Guests were using water from the pool to flush toilets and wash their hands/clean up, therefore we did not use the pool. While the issue was beyond the managements control, we felt that a partial refund for those days should have been offered for our lack of running water for 2 days.
Eleuthera is a beautiful place and our family had a wonderful vacation. When we return, we'll look to stay elsewhere.

Our family of 14 stayed at ButtonWood Reserve for 9 days and it was divine. We rented the main lodge for gathering and two additional condos. Matt and Tara were beyond helpful in getting us all the information we needed in preparation for our trip...helping with suggestions for excursions, chefs, photographers and more. The condos are nicely decorated, super clean, beds are comfy and the main lodge is an ideal space for gathering with breathtaking views off the large deck that overlooks the Caribbean. The kitchen in the main lodge is stocked with everything you could need for feeding a large group. We all loved having golf carts to access the Atlantic private beach and even when we didn't spend the day at that beach we still took rides down there in the mornings and early evenings. Having beach chairs, toys, kayaks, lifejackets available was so helpful. We loved having the paddleboard and kayaks to use on the Caribbean side. They set up a water trampoline while we were there and the kids went crazy for that! Mark at Buttonwood was incredibly attentive and available anytime we needed him. We had a family in our party test positive for COVID right before we were leaving so they couldn't join us. Matt was able to rent one of our additional condos at the very last hour which was wonderful to refund some of their money.
We hired Brenda and Patrick Demerrit to cook for us one night and it was such a treat! Highly recommend! Food was delicious and we got lots of insider tips on what to do and see while we were out there.
We went on a customized day excursion with Captain Sheldon and it was a highlight of our trip!
All the reviews about the noseeums on this island are legit. We learned the hard way after spending a late afternoon on the beach. Pack light pants to put on before sunset and early mornings.
Kids are dying to go back and so are we! I highly recommend Buttonwood Reserve!
We hired Brenda and Patrick Demerrit to cook for us one night and it was such a treat! Highly recommend! Food was delicious and we got lots of insider tips on what to do and see while we were out there.
We went on a customized day excursion with Captain Sheldon and it was a highlight of our trip!

This was the second unit we stayed in at Buttonwwod, which is a great property centrally located on the island. This upper unit does provide views of both the Atlantic for sunrise and Caribbean for sunset—beautiful! However, the unit has obvious wear and tear that should be addressed. The main flooring has been changed from ceramic tile to LVP, which is peeling up in numerous places, the kitchen cabinet is missing shelves, and the kitchen is missing basics like a can opener. The washing machine was in the process of being repaired. but the very helpful manager allowed us to use another. We did enjoy use of the kayaks, SUP, and golf cart, as well as the on-site grill and pool. We ate at all 3 restaurants just a few minutes away in James Cistern. We also traveled the island tip to tip by car and by renting a boat—the beach chairs and cooler provided with the unit came in handy! We mostly had the beaches to ourselves, and spent much time on the Caribbean side snorkeling. Rainbow Bay and Receivers were our favorite beaches.

We very much enjoyed at stay Buttonwood. It is very convenient to James Cistern's grocery store (appx. 2 min down the road) & Leo rose (a restaurant). It's appx 20 min into GH, shops, and restaurants, 15 min from Rainbow rest, and overall, about in the middle of everything. I would suggest you fly into GH instead of N. Eleuthera, as, it is a 45 min. drive to Buttonwood.
Matt Simon was most helpful and gracious to take us to "The Cliff's, The ocean hole, and Hatchett Bay Cave. The kids had a blast there and Matt was very informative guiding us around.
The place was comfortable, roomy, and we had plenty of space to do our thing. There was also additional things left by other guests for use such as bug and sun spray.

Beautiful New 2 br Condo
We rented a 2 bedroom condo called Buttonwood for 3 nights. This was a terrific property. We were on the second floor and the views were breathless. The condo itself was all you could want, 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, living and dining area plus 2 porches. The air conditioning worked great, the internet was speedy, and they had dish TV. We brought our own food for breakfast and lunch and went out to dinner every night. I thought the price was excellent. We spent most of out time at the pool or on the porch reading. It is a very relaxed setting so if you want action, this isn't for you. This is a perfect place to chill out. As for food, bring as much as you can since things are very expensive on the island. One of our neighbors said she paid $44 for coffee so be prepared.

The condo is very nice and was clean. We loved having access to both oceans. We knew that Eleuthera was rural but we weren't quite prepared for how rural it is. After a long day of travel, we arrived to the island and got our terrible rental car. (The inside of the of the door in the backseat fell off onto my daughter). The grocery store near the Northern Eleuthera airport was shady to say the least. We were able to get water but not much else. We couldn't find any coffee with caffeine in it! Yikes! Then, we tried to stop for a bite to eat but nothing was open and we didn't know how to find anything since we didn't have cellular service outside of wifi. We were all very grumpy and questioning our decision to come to the Bahamas. We finally landed at Leo Rose and were happy to get a drink and a snack. Sonya met us at the condo for a brief moment. She was clearly busy and didn't want to stick around which was fine because like I said, we were a little grumpy. The condo was nice and it was clean. We ended up having a good time except for the noseeums that devoured us even though we tried every kind of bug repellant possible. The beach on the Atlantic side had so much garbage on the shore. It was really sad to see the pollution. The island should really consider some sort of recycling program to help clean up the litter and maybe provide some income to these people living in poverty. There's a lot of beauty on the island and overall, we are glad we went but I don't know that we would return.

We stayed in Unit 2C. It's a upper unit which afforded us great views. Unit was clean and comfortable. Everything worked great. Beds were comfy. Good location just south of James Cistern.

It's all true!
All pictures and descriptions of Buttonwood Reserve 2C were accurate..........minus the sun and blue skies. Despite a week of mediocre weather, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The condo was clean, bright, and comfortable. We had a gorgeous view of the Caribbean from our porch. Wish the bees' nest had been extinguished before our arrival, but they didn't deter us from sitting outside when ever the temperature rose above 65 and the clouds parted. The compound sits high on a hill in between both oceans with the Atlantic just a golf cart ride away down a long sandy road with a one major pool of water.......but we made it! The Atlantic beach is just beautiful with swimmable waves. We never used the swimming pool because the weather just didn't cooperate. While clean and well positioned among the trees, I can't say that the reality matched the online pictures. The sun would have made a big difference. The onsite staff were so lovely and helpful. Patrick even brought us snorkeling gear gratis so we could explore the reef right from the Caribbean side beaches. SO many beautiful beaches. Initially we had some problems with windows and screens however the manager made sure they were all addressed the second day we were there. There was no need for the air conditioning but the ceiling fans were great for fresh air circulation. Finally, the price was right! Buttonwood is a very good value on a completely charming and peaceful island. Kudos VRBO, Homeaway, and eleutherarentals.com

This was our 2nd time in Eleuthera and 2nd time staying at Buttonwood.The property is beautiful and well cared for.Our condo was very clean and had pretty much everything needed for our stay. Use of the golf cart to explore the path behind the property and access the private beach is a huge plus - we did this many nights in the pitch dark - so fun, and rewarded with an amazing dark night sky full of stars!!

I have to admit the highlight of the entire property are the two beaches. You can either head to the shallow and calm Caribbean Sea or rough and turqoise Atlantic Ocean, still calm enough to dip inside. Your private golf cart parked in your garage next to your beach chairs will be available during the entire stay making it possible to drive the 5-minutes way until you arrive at the most remote pink sand beach I have ever seen. It's the place for doing whatever and hanging around however you want. Nobody cares and nobody else will be around you, beside some birds on the sky perhabs. Privacy at it's best. All in all, I received exactely what I expected and it's one of the best condominiums I have ever stayed at. Go there for the total holiday feeling but don't expect to get entertained - that's your job!

Absolutely gorgeous place - great value!!
We stayed at Buttonwood twice - first with our two children over Thanksgiving, then again with friends for a long weekend in January. It is exceptional. The gorgeous views of both the Caribbean and the Atlantic are breathtaking, as are the beach and pool, and we never had to share them with anybody! There is so much to do on Eleuthera that the other guests seemed to be out and about most of the time. We went to several different beaches on the island, and all were spectacular - and mostly deserted. The island is a great place to really get away and find peace and quiet, but with good cell service and wifi so you don't have to completely disconnect. The condo itself was stylishly decorated with comfortable furniture and a nice kitchen. There is nothing better than taking in the view of the Caribbean while drinking coffee in bed in the morning! Eleuthera Vacation Rentals sent us an extensive list of things to do and information about the island in advance of our stay, which gave us a great way to plan ahead and think about what we wanted to do. Highly recommend Buttonwood and will definitely be back!

What a gem!
We loved our time at Buttonwood Reserve! The space felt instantly like home...so inviting, chic, and with everything we needed and more. We cooked nearly every night in their deluxe kitchen, enjoyed perfect sunsets from the balcony, and woke up to ocean views from bed. We didn't rent a car but with their free kayaks, bikes, golf carts, pool, and beaches...we didn't need to need to stray far to have fun! We really hope to come back some day and stay longer!

Beautiful and peaceful stay at Buttonwood
We thought the property was beautiful, modern, and well-maintained. Patrick, the groundskeeper, was such a kind and gentle man and we enjoyed chatting with him very much. He was very accommodating to us, getting us the kayaks, the boogie boards, and the lifejackets. He definitely has a way about him that we all enjoyed. He even cut fresh coconuts off the trees for us, and cut them open so we could drink fresh coconut water. Our daughter thought it was great(we did too!!). We cooked two of our dinners at home, and made all of our breakfasts and lunches there. We wanted for nothing, and enjoyed the nice touches and detail, like having beach bags there to take things to the beach. Governor's Harbour is about 20 mins away and we enjoyed eating at Tippy's and French Leave. We had an SUV and definitely recommend that for exploring.
