Gorgeous sunsets and peaceful setting

The location of this lake house is a dream. I never got tired of sitting by the lake and relaxing! It’s gorgeous and so relaxing. We were there in early August and it did get really hot during the day and there were fans which barely kept the house cool, but at night it was fine. Other than that, the kitchen was fully stocked with cooking amenities and utensils, and the bedrooms and bathrooms had linens, pillows, and plenty of towels. It’s a small house so I think it’s perfect for a party of four or less, more than that and it might be a crowd.

This was our second Summer vacation here! Just as good as the first! Beautiful sunsets! Clean and perfect for family of four! Everything near by! Dog friendly! Tracy, the host, always accommodating! Can’t wait to come back next Summer!

So happy that we could finally return to this cozy lake house. We haven’t been there since Covid. Beautiful sunsets on the lake and plenty of great fishing, kayaking and swimming. Great location for families with young kids!

This was the second property that we have rented on Indian Lake. The location is perfect - close to beaches, shopping, and many restaurants. Even during what was assumed to be a busy "vacation" week, the lake was very peaceful with little boat traffic and hardly any use of the association beach which abuts this property. The lake was perfect temp to cool off after a day trip or for spending a lazy day floating, relaxing and enjoying a cold beverage. Sunsets were perfect. Tracy was great to work with and responded promptly to all questions/issues I sent her way.

Great location, great house, great property manager. This was our 2nd year and we will be back. The house is clean, cozy, and fun. The lake is warm and the beach is sandy. The ocean is not far away. Best of both worlds.

Our family of 3 plus dog loved staying at the house. We used the house's canoe to get out onto the lake and also swam in the lake. Beautiful sunsets, too. Location is 15-20 minute drive from Narragansett and Scarborough ocean beaches. Wakefield and Wickford are also easy drives from the house. Small cottage perfectly met our needs.

The lake house is rented to college students during the off season, that’s what you have for the furniture, however, what you will enjoy is the peacefulness and the views of the lake.we look forward to next year’s visit.

Beautiful cottage style home located on serene Indian River. Wonderful for canoeing and fishing. Our 2 children and dog enjoyed swimming off the dock. Wonderful lake experience in a quiet, friendly neighborhood. Home was clean, fresh breezes thru large open windows and large deck for grilling and watching magnificent sunsets! So hard to leave.

Located right on the lake with the most amazing sunsets. There were lots of places to hang out, outside, the dock and beach area were great. Close to the beaches and restaurants as well. We had a great time!

Everything was exceptional, working with the owner, the lake and all the neighbors were so nice. Hard to leave easy to go back to.

A perfect lakeside retreat-spectacular views and sunsets, friendly and quiet neighbors, fishing, paddling and swimming galore! We did not want to leave!

We just got home from our week here and what a great stay. It was perfect for my family with two kids ages 2 and 5. Tracy was an outstanding host, super communicative, responding to my pre-trip questions quickly and even texting the first day to make sure everything went well. When I asked if the place had a lobster pot (it does, this place is fully stocked!) she even mentioned her cleaning crew would bring in a larger one and a propane burner. The house is clean and obviously well taken care of. It has everything you need and nothing you don’t. Laundry, dishwasher and a bathtub were huge for our family with two little kids always in the lake! Having a super kid-friendly beach (Roger Wheeler State Beach) only 12 min away was a great way to break up the days and it was always great to relax and enjoy “our” lake. We made a lot of great memories and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The Lakehouse on Indian Lake was a wonderful place to stay for the week with my daughter and our dog. The house was so comfortable and clean, the view of the lake was amazing, and the bullfrogs that sang to us each night were a delight!

The house & property were well maintained, very clean. The location on the lake was fantastic with beautiful sunsets each evening. It was great having the canoe with life jackets available for use along with various floats for the kids. Definitely a place we would return to in the future!!

We had a wonderful time! Perfect location and right on the lake made this a great spot for the whole family. Minutes from the beach and Newport too! Great for a romantic getaway any season or a small family.

This cottage on Indian Lake provides beautiful views of the lake and excellent access to its waters. The lake water is clear and warm, and has an abundance of fish and water fowl.The lake is placid and quiet, absent racing motorboats and jet skis. The community lakefront adjacent to the property has a sandy beach and an extensive swimming area. The cottage is equipped with many items for making the most of it all - inflatable tubes, foam noodles, boogie boards, a canoe, and life vests; and an excellent washer and dryer, which you will really appreciate if you make frequent use of the lake. The interior of the cottage has been reasonably well maintained over the years. The walls and ceilings are neatly painted, and the flooring is fresh-looking faux wood. The downstairs walls are decorated with carefully selected artwork that evokes the summer seaside. The downstairs sitting area is arranged well and provides adequate space. The sleeping areas are neat and cozy, and the bedding is attractive and comfortable. The cottage has an open and airy feeling. Even so, the dining area is a bit cramped, and the kitchen, which, although furnished with, good, new appliances, has very little counter space, making it difficult to do serious cooking. Although the cottage sits close to the lake, there was insufficient cooling on hot days (there is no air conditioning). New appliances were recently installed, and the flooring and paint appear fairly new. Many areas of the cottage have a “homey” feel. Yet there still remain many noticeable features that make parts of the cottage feel a bit unfinished, more like a fishing/swimming cottage rather than a home. In summary, this is a nice cottage that the owner maintains well and continuously improves. It has all the necessary amenities and some very nice decorative touches, but is still in need of some improvements. It provides a beautiful view and exceptional access to the lake.

This house was a great rental. The house was clean, well stocked, updated and right on the lake. We enjoyed the house's sandy beach and canoe daily. Not far are RI beaches, so we went during the day to the beach, then finished by swimming in the lake. Great experience at a great property.

Want to have a relaxing vacation on a nice quiet lake? Then this spot is for you! As our first experience with renting a house for vacation, Tracy set the bar extremely high for all future rentals! The property was well maintained, the house was spotless and stocked with plenty of things to make our stay comfortable, and Tracy was extremely responsive and helpful throughout. We planned to take day trips to the beach and other area attractions, but we found ourselves asking, “Why would we want to leave this?!” Having coffee on the deck overlooking the lake was one of our favorite times of day. The sunsets were picture perfect. The lake is clean and quiet. There is decent fishing for small/large mouth bass, perch, pickerel and even hornpout. There are also plenty of sunfish for the kids! We can’t recommend the spot or renter enough. Although...maybe it would better to keep that a secret so there’ll be openings when we’re ready to go back...we’ll definitely be a repeat customer!

This is my fourth year vacationing in this cozy cottage. Every year, the owner Tracy, makes more improvements to make it even a nicer stay than the previous year. We love having our own dock and being right next to the neighborhood dock as well. Fishing and swimming are great. This year we caught more bass than we ever have before! It's a nice relaxing vacation with beautiful sunsets. We thank Tracy for trusting us with her cottage and for giving us the best way to start our summer!

Outstanding stay, one of the most cleanest, stocked and pleasant rentals I have ever experienced. Everything was thought out that would make one’s stay enjoyable. A pristine quiet neighborhood with beautiful sunsets and the close proximity to all beach and fine restaurants in area. My family really enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying in the future. The house has a wonderful little beach. Canoe or kayak on the beautiful lake. Plenty of sun for everyone and the best sunsets every evening.

What a wonderful week we had at Tracy's lake house! We loved having our "own" lake right in the backyard - it was so peaceful and relaxing just being out in the water every day. We used the canoe and our kids loved catching fish right off the dock. There's nothing better than having a glass of wine on the dock while your kids go for an evening swim during a spectacular sunset! The house had everything we needed - small but cozy and clean, and all of the neighbors we met were kind and welcoming. Only 10 minute drive to the beaches, shops, restaurants, etc. We would definitely stay here again!

This is our third year staying at this lake house. The owner Tracy has made some nice improvements to the house and as always there is everything we need to have a pleasant stay, even water toys and loungers for the lake. It very peaceful and we love the sunsets and plenty of opportunities to catch fish. We discovered a new car museum in Portsmouth/Newport area which was awesome. If you or your kids are into sports cars, this is a must see museum! It's always a good time and my boys love coming here year after year. Tracy is great to deal with and we thank her for renting her home to us year after year!
