Quiet, breakfast, good heating

Booked the 2 bedroom cottage only to discover that the 2nd bedroom was locked. The host refused to unlock the room despite explaining that my health issues required a 2nd bed and that my husband had spent the first night on the lounge floor (a text I had sent was ignored). I was given a variety of reasons including the host had a broken wrist and the bed was too heavy to be moved and changed, that I had booked only 1 bedroom (impossible on the site) and that they had started locking the 2nd bedroom a few months ago as this is common practice in Tasmania (this is our 3rd trip and never had a problem) The bedroom was only unlocked after I submitted a complaint to Booking.com

the keys were inside cottage excellent property to stay at clean everything you need it is breakfast was supplied and more than you can eat would recommend this cottage to anyone good location Evendale is a quite historic country town. Excellent.

Not staying longer

Delightful little cortage spotlessly clean and very well appointed . Welll positioned to see all local tourist attactions. Two minute walk to Sunday Market and four minutes to the excellent Clarendon Arms Hotel.

i would have preferred a queen bed rather than double and a bit softer.

The cottage was very comfortable and a great location. A great experience staying in an old cottage.

Mostly everything. What a beautiful cottage and so wonderfully cared for and thoughtfully updated. Spotlessly clean. So nice to see these old buildings loved. Excellent breakfast provisions and stunning outdoor area. Wonderful street full of period buildings. It's like going back in time!

Antique beds weren't made for tall people like us. Feet kept hitting ends of bed frame. Mattresses were very very hard and uncomfortable.

A lovely cottage with everything we needed. Unfortunately we were only able to stay one night. As we got in late at night we did not meet the hosts. Hopefully we will be able to stay longer next time.

Beautifully presented and decorated old cottage with a hint of modernisation.

This quaint little cottage has all the modern conveniences.. along with a beautiful breakfast and lovely hosts. Definitely recommend.

There was nothing to not like ..

it was cosy welcoming and beautiful

very cosy, clean, neat and homely. nestled away from hustle and bustle. Launceston airport 5min away and Launceston city 20min drive. Ingleside Bakery 2min walk serving delicious coffee.

Loved the whole set up besides the beds. Host looked after everything and had the cupboards and fridge well stocked. The decor was beautiful and lovely gardens.

Beds could greatly benefit from mattress toppers. Beds were very hard to sleep on.

Evandale is a lovely Village. Cottage is right in the middle.Breakfast provided was an added bonus.

lovely cosy and warm cottage. absolutely immaculately clean with everything you could need. some of the reviews mention the small bed, my 6’2” partner fit fine. breakfast provisions were lovely, plentiful and very much appreciated.
