I wish that the area wasnt so busy... the local tavern I thought was out of the way and we were told they would deliver food.. they were packed and said no. which meant local options to eat were very limited. Best to take some groceries.

Fantastic position. And the owners were wonderful. so clean and comfortable with everything you could need. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

The location was great and the home was really clean. It was so sweet that the host came to greet us at check-in and also send us off the next day.

When you check in to the seashell house you are met by the most wonderful, welcoming, friendly hosts - Eleni and Philip. Their son, who has fluent English and all the welcoming friendly nature of his parents, is on hand to offer any help needed. Eleni and Philippe are the type of hosts who display such pride in their property - it feels like an extension of their home. The Greek welcome is part of what sets this place apart from the rest. But you’re on holiday and you want to be comfortable during your stay. Well fear not - every detail is looked after.... You are welcomed with complimentary bottle of local wine, home made jams, home made cake, locally produced honey, fresh bread, water, coffee, orange juice, fruit and charcuterie - all you’ll need to keep you going for a couple of days breakfasts at least. Every detail in the property is considered - beach towels, shower gels, strong WiFi and every time you turn to look for anything - it’s there. Be it a knife, a wine glass, a salad bowl ... brilliant. Finally the house itself is immaculately clean and well kept - so comfortable - there is a beautiful shaded outdoor seating area where we had our dinner several nights overlooking Mandrakia bay with passers by looking on in jealousy - don’t want to cook? That’s fine a the renowned Medousa taverna is steps away and will let you take your food back to the patio. Mandrakia itself is amazing - especially at sunrise and sunset and we reached even in the most far fetched isolated beach in the island in well under an hour. Sarakiniko is only 20 min walk across the coast and Plaka, Adamas are all 5 min drive away. We loved Milos so much we are extending our stay and the Seashell House so much we are coming back in a weeks time. We’ll remember everything about Seashell House - especially Eleni and Philippe. What’s not to like?

Mandrakia is absolutely beautiful-- a picturesque Greek fishing village. The house sits perched on the hill, with a beautiful patio, overlooking the stunning view. Philippe and Elina are the best hosts and we felt loved and welcomed to the Island by all!!
