Unfortunately there is building work on the neighbouring site which was quite noisy at times.

Everything about the villa was lovely. Spacious, comfortable, quiet. Beautiful views.. Owner greets you and is very helpful with any questions and information, even with getting a car delivered.

You need a car and I wasn't aware of that from the site I booked it on. There is a restaurant 10 minutes walk away but after that it's a good 25 minutes walk down a steep windy road with no footpaths.to get to the next eatery and supermarket. .

Very spacious, beautiful views. All linen , supplies and a lot of incidentals we could use were there. All we had to do is replace when we ran out and leave what we had left over( spices, soaps, sugar, oil, toilet paper and much more) Very safe location and nice neighbours. Pool was excellent (a little chilly since we did not have heater turned on). Was everything and more than the booking.com posting showed.

Not easy to find when you don't know Madeira. Turn-off onto the small lane is quite tight and it is best to have a small car. The first two weeks were very quiet. Just a bit of maintenance activity in the banana fields. The last 1 1/2 weeks there was road construction next door, which was not under the control of the owner or of Booking.com. All in all a great place to stay.

The house Lise on a very Barrow Road. If you have a Big car you May have trouble getting Down to the house.

lovely spacious place in a good location for hiking and being within walking distance of beach, bars and restaurants . gorgeous views from 3 balconies. well equipped kitchen and lovely private pool . totally quiet and in among the bananas . super helpful staff

not much! but it I could improve it , the place needs some pictures and furnishings . very bare. has a feel of a newly renovated place and needs some nice art work and nik naks to make it homely . lighting is very stark

The location was amazing. Beautiful area and beautiful house. The host was so friendly and welcoming and went as far as helping as get taxis when we were stranded. Really the best host i’ve ever had. House is located close enough to the beach for 20 minute walk and 3 minute drive. Pool is beautiful and kitchen is big and full of everything you need to cook. Can’t recommend enough.

Lighting was pretty ugly in the house could have been fixed with warmer light bulbs :) i’m real stickler for lighting. Also my biggest problem was that the hot water was very sparse, couldn’t take hot showers sometimes :( only luke warm
