It was very clean and enough space for two people. We got a nice basket of food and wine on arrival, that was nice.

My husband and I loved our stay at Casa da Guida. Fábio and Erika made us feel so welcome from the day we booked our stay. The house has a beautiful kitchen with everything you need to cook light snacks or a full meal if you wish. There's a snack-bar café and a small grocery store VERY nearby (literally 1 minute walk), so it was very easy to access food to have at home. The bus stop is also just down the street which was very convenient to save money on taxis. We loved our stay in Casa da Guida, and we'll definitely come back the next time we're in Flores.

The only thing I would change is to have a privacy curtain in the living room window/door so that there's more privacy at night.

Comfortable house with big rooms. What’s very handy is that it has a washing machine. The kitchen has everything you need to cook. When I arrived I got some bread, cheese, fresh fruit and a bottle of wine. Contact with the owner is very friendly and fast. There is a supermarket very close. The location of the village is also handy, in the middle of the island.

Small shower. The neighbor’s dog kept barking all night (they keep him/her outside). For me the matras was to hard.

The house was exceptionally clean and in a good location close to the island’s attraction. The host had a welcome basket with water, wine, bread, cheese, and fruit. The neighborhood was quiet and there was a grocery store a block away.

The house needs a fan for hot days. Also, the standard bed is quite small compared to US standards.

This property is really great, location is very nice in a small quite village. House is very big and all the rooms were very spacious. The host was really great, he prepared a welcoming gift with local products and fruits on arrival and let us stay until afternoon at the day of departure as our flight was late in the afternoon, without additional cost, which was amazing gesture. Washing machine was a great bonus as this was our fifth and last island. I recommend you NOT to take a rental car, we couldn't find a car on this island, so we used taxi to go around the island, at the end using a taxi cost us less than renting a car, as all of the hiking trails are one way and even if you have a car, you will still need a taxi to go back to the car; taxi is not expensive on this island. If you like walking there is a very nice beach in the next village - Praia da Calheta, the beach is very nice black sandy beach in a lagoon (so water is calm), but watch out for Portuguese man'o'war (very dangerous jelly fish).

House were you can stay between the local habitants of Lajes. House has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and is very clean. Supermarket at walking distance. But what stands out the most is the hospitality of the owners! From a great welcome gift with local products to a visit to the lighthouse and pleasent conversations with the owner. Muito obrigado Fábio and family!! We wished we could stay longer...

We loved it all. From the cozy rooms, to the well equipped kitchen and the welcome gifts. The owner was very kind and helpful. He was available whenever we needed to give us the necessary information to fully enjoy the island. Worth saying that the location was great to us. The house is near the major sightseeing sites and has a supermarket few meters across the road To sum it all up I honestly say I would definitely go back to this place when back in Flores island!

A perfect location in the island, it is close to Faja Grande, Santa Cruz, Lagoas...all places to be visited. It was very clean and the house was very nice and comfortable. Fabio and his wife were a perfect hosts. They were waiting for us when we arrived. They gifted us eggs from their hens, typical cheese, homemade jam...Additionally we had a problem with our rental car and Fabio picked up us to transport to a hiking route. Thanks to him we didn’t lose time our first day.
