Wonderful home in a beautiful environment!

Our family has been staying a little north up the beach in Old Orchard for years. We were looking for a change of pace and a much quieter beach area. This property was absolutely perfect and fit all of our needs. You are truly steps from the beach which was perfect with a toddler. The beach is beautiful and very low key. The house was extremely clean and had everything we needed. We cooked a lot of meals at the house and our favorite part was sitting on the deck to take in the beautiful ocean view! We cannot wait for our trip again next year!

This was our 5th year at the Plover House. We love the house and its great location. It is just steps to the beautiful beach and a short walk to Ocean Park. We spent plenty of time on the deck looking out on the beach and watched the fireworks on Thursday night. We definitely hope to be back.

We had a wonderful vacation and the Plover House was perfect for our family.The house has everything that you need to enjoy your vacation.
We LOVED the outdoor deck. We spent a good deal of time out there enjoying the oceanview. We even saw a bald eagle fly over the house. The house is really clean, has a nice beach vibe and it is a minute walk to the beach! Also the layout of the house was great. We have rented in Kinney Shores for many years and Plover House tops the list! Thank you Jena/Ian for sharing your home!

We have rented for many years in the area, this house definitely ranks as one of our favorites of all time! The layout is surprisingly roomy & provides a lot of privacy within the cottage. It's very well kept, immaculately clean & has everything you need for a perfect beach vacation!
The location is idyllic - it’s at the end of a short, quiet, dead-end street just steps from a beautiful, uncrowded beach. It sits on the edge of a bluff next to a flourishing salt marsh & tidal estuary. It has mature pine trees which make it feel very private while still offering expansive, breathtaking views of the beach & ocean which can be enjoyed from the AMAZING deck & all of the upstairs living areas, plus the master bedroom. There's a refreshing ocean breeze most of the time, but air conditioning is available in all of the bedrooms as well as the living area if needed. There’s also a gas fireplace to take off the chill when desired.
The cottage is extremely well supplied, the kitchen has all high-end, modern appliances and loads of cookware, plus Crockpot, Insta-Pot,& griddle. There's a very large walk-in closet with board games, puzzles & other useful items, it's perfect for storing suitcases out of the way too. *Tip: The wifi is great & bedrooms/living room all have TVs, remember to bring your username & passwords from home to stream your premium channels on the Roku box.

Jane’s place could not have been better for our vacation! Check in was easy and there were snacks and a bottle of wine when we arrived, so thoughtful. We loved how updated everything is but deck view was our favorite. Grilling dinner or enjoying a morning coffee out there was the best. Would love to stay here again!

We had a great week at this cottage next to the beach in Saco, ME. The place was spotless, with a nice decor and high end appliances. The bedrooms downstairs are large and very comfortable. The upstairs bedroom is smaller, but comfortable as well. The view from the balcony on the river and the beach is spectacular. The area is very quiet, and the house is on a dead-end street, which makes it kids friendly. Great rental, would recommend without hesitation.

This house was clean, comfortable and we loved every minute of our stay. They thought of every last detail, including a generator so even though the neighborhood was out of power for several hours we were never inconvenienced. Owners were thoughtful and checked in with us to make sure all was ok. Highly recommend

The Plover House is a well-managed, maintained and clean house with thoughtful attention-to-details and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and convenient getaway. We have been vacationing in the area for 30+ years and this house is second to none! We are already planning and looking forward to our next visit. The hosts are amazing!

The house is great. It is very clean and has everything you need. It is very close to the beach, and Ocean Park, and we love the view from the deck. Jane and Bruce live nearby and are very helpful if you have any concerns.

Perfect Family Vacation at the Beach
This was our second time at this property. It’s wonderful, clean, and has everything you need. The gate at the top of the stairs was so helpful for our 1 yr old, and the bedrooms on different floors allowed for nap times for some while others play. And you can’t beat the location- just a short path to the beach so you can take advantage of all the good beach weather and return home if the weather changes (or for potty breaks/meals/naps). The owners are so nice and available if you need anything. We can’t wait to return! Thank you Jane and Bruce!

Great location!
The house was immaculate, organized and comfortable. There was more than enough room to spread out and the back deck was perfect for relaxing! Best part though was the location, truly is steps to the beach, which is one of the nicest I’ve ever been to, spent hours just enjoying it! Also a very short drive to Old Orchard Beach and Biddeford. We definitely hope to be back!

Wonderful peaceful home
This is an immaculate home with ocean bay view. So peaceful to watch the tide come and go. Walking the beach and looking for seashells is so relaxing. If you want, there is much to see and do close by. This home has everything you need for a vacation, and the kitchen has all you need to cook, or grill or even cook a lobster. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone.

Great place .Everything you could need and then some. Perfect location Quiet but minutes to restaurants and shopping. Awesome views and steps to the sandy beach. Immaculate ,even a bottle of wine and snacks waiting upon arrival.

Great location
The house had everything we could have wanted and the location couldn’t be beat! Perfect for our 1.5 year old, she could walk to the beach while we carried all the gear. We appreciated the built in retractable gate at the top of the stairs.

We had a wonderful time. This was our second stay at the Pulver House, and we enjoyed it as much this year as we did the first time. The house is very comfortable and clean, and well equipped. It is in a great location, has a beautiful view, and is very close to the great beach.

This is a great house!
We loved this house! The proximity to the beach is great, 60 seconds! The house was so clean and updated and had everything we needed. We loved having laundry and AC in the house. It was such a warm welcome with snacks and wine too. Would definitely rent again.

Beach house with everything!
Not only is the location perfect...easy walk to the beach or the little shops in Ocean Park... but it comes stocked with everything you need from beach chairs to board games. It feels brand new. This is the place to stay on Saco Bay!!!

Nice location super close to the beach!
The home has a modern beautiful kitchen with an attached dining room full of windows overlooking a beautiful view. All wood floors which is great if you have any allergies. Our group was one couple and 2 singles which worked perfectly with the house layout. Master bedroom and bathroom upstairs with the kitchen, living room and diningroom. Down stairs is one bathroom with 2 bedrooms. Had a wonderful time there!

Fantastic 50th getaway
Had an amazing time at this gem of a property. Woke up every morning to the beautiful ocean view and went to sleep listening to the peaceful sounds of the waves crashing. House was extremely clean and welcoming and Jane had even left a few goodies for us. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Perfect location & gorgeous house for a stress-free family vacation!
The Plover House was the perfect spot for our family to have the best beach getaway! The house was just steps from a gorgeous beach and had views of the inlet from the back deck, which we enjoyed the whole visit! The house was stocked with everything we could possibly need including cozy extra blankets, board games and beach chairs—right down to really helpful safety measures for our young daughter. I was worried about staying in a house with a toddler but Jane provided everything we could need from a high chair, a pack & play, and even corner savers! It was the perfect stress-free vacation! The little details of The Plover House and the caring touch from the owners make this spot a must stay!

I have stayed in many places in Saco over the past few years - this was by far the best! It is so beautiful and relaxing. The beach was perfect and the view off of the deck was serene. The house had everything you could need and was impeccably clean. Thank you!

Beautiful
The house was perfect for our family! The neighborhood is quiet, the beach is 30 seconds away, and the view from the deck is beautiful. We have been to Maine several times and Kinney Shores has the best beach hands down. We got to see plovers and found hermit crabs and moon snails when the tide was out on the rocks. We walked the beach and found tons of shells and cool rocks with the kids. Jane left crayons, stickers, and coloring books for the kids and when we got back to the house from the beach there was a bucket with sand toys left. There are plenty of beach chairs and boogie boards, plus a closet with boards games. Everything is new and the kitchen is really nice with a big pantry. We made a seafood boil, lobster rolls, and our home favorite, chicken riggies. The house is perfect for a family! We are already talking about renting it again next year!

Fantastic Stay!
This was a wonderful beach property for the family in a quiet neighborhood. The house was immaculately clean, well stocked with kitchen and household basics, and toys and beach equipment. It was a 2 minute walk from a 2 mile long beautiful sandy beach, and the house itself has a fantastic view of the marsh and water from its deck. Access was the easiest I've had with a rental property, and communication with the owners was seamless - they were extremely responsive, and checked in on us when the power went out due to a storm to make sure that the generator was working properly, which it was. I very highly recommend this great property!

Perfect location!
My family and I had a great time staying here. The house is really close to the beach, it's just a short walk. The beach was never crowded near the house, perfect location. The house itself was clean, has a great view of the ocean, and is stocked with everything you could ever need. Jane is so thoughtful. She dropped off a little box of coloring books and crayons for the kids to help make their stay even better. She really thought of everything and made it feel like home away from home. We are looking forward to staying here every summer. Thank you for sharing your home with our family.

Lovely home with a view steps from the best family (and dog) beach in Saco!
We were two families with children ranging in age from 4-10 along with grandma and aunt/ uncle, people coming and going a bit throughout but basically about 8 people staying at the house for two weeks in July. It was lovely! No issues. The deck is perfect for sitting/ grilling/ eating. The beach, there are two options for entrances 1/2 block away walking, easy walk barefoot. We LOVED that the piping plover encloser was close by and for the first time in my life, I got to see piping plover chicks with their mama! Got video. That was before vandals ripped down the enclosure on July 4 evening, a horrific event that made the local news for days, and I understand was an anomaly for the area. Mostly people were very respectful of the protected area and interested in what the wardens had to say. We loved the beach as there was a quiet inlet where the little kids could play and go creaturing, then the big wavy beach where our oldest could go bodyboarding. There is also a rocky jetty a couple blocks down the wavy beach to the right that is amazing for crabbing at low tide. In the evenings, the moon snails are out and it is magical. Overall a lovely stay, I guess the only thing is our puppy had to stay with relatives nearby, he could only join us for the beach days as the house does not allow dogs (most do not). This house also does not have a yard really, there is an area of scrubby grass but no yard for playing, we did not mind this though. Next year we will be looking for a dog-friendly home, but only for that reason. Highly recommend!

Great House
Overall this was a great vacation home, we really enjoyed it. We did cook a lot of our meals at home, so we noticed a couple of small items that the kitchen needs. A teapot would be helpful and lids for the pots. Very nice kitchen to cook in!

Clean, modern, well-equipped house in AMAZING beach location!
We had a perfect family vacation at this wonderful house. We've never stayed in a rental home this clean. The house feels brand new and comes with everything you need. Lots of space and storage space made it easy to spread out our luggage and feel at home. The game closet was awesome, and the beach chairs and umbrella and various other things we didn't think to bring made enjoying our vacation a breeze. You can't beat the location. Walk across the quiet street to the beach, and enjoy views of the water right from the house (and the deck!). Being so close to the beach made it so we could go 2-3 times every day with little-to-no prep. Old Orchard Beach is very close by car, or a medium walk down the beach, but it was hard to find a reason to leave the beach/house! We really enjoyed our time at the house and hope to return next year for even longer. The owners left all the info we could want and more, so we didn't need to contact them during our stay, but they were nearby and easy to reach if we did need them. This was our best VRBO experience yet. Thank you so much!!!
