Bienvenido a nuestro escape de Corolla, una casa de playa bien equipada con todas las últimas comodidades que también se remonta a las primeras cabañas de playa, bordeadas por dentro con techos y paredes de enebro. Esta casa está decorada con buen gusto, equipada con toques hermosos y cuenta con divertidas comodidades costeras, como una piscina privada cerrada y bañera de hidromasaje. Justo al lado de la habitación, encontrarás la cubierta del tercer nivel donde puedes disfrutar del sol naciente sobre el Océano Atlántico.

The Property and layout of the home was great.
Communication re issues that arose during our stay tainted our experience somewhat.
Several individually minor issues, when looked at in total, suggest the owner and host need to pay more attention to the details. An example - two sinks were nearly plugged and took 10 plus minutes to drain very slowly. The same for one of the showers. Not sure how the cleaners could not notice the condition of the drains when cleaning the bathrooms.

Beautiful location and accurately listed. The host was very communicative and responsive. There was a storm one evening and the next day a lot of debris was in the pool. I contacted her to see about cleaning it sooner and she had someone out there the same day.
The layout of the house is perfect for a family with teens. We enjoyed using the kitchen to cook a few meals and had a good time walking to the nearby shops a few mornings. The beach is an easy 10 minute walk also and beautiful location. Overall a relaxing and enjoyable trip to OBX. Would recommend this property and give the host 5 stars.

The house was very clean and well maintained. Beds were comfortable. The only disappointment was the pool area. The lounge chairs were a bit rickety and some cushions were missing and what cushions were there were worn and moldy in the creases. I honestly dont blame the home owners. I blame the maintenance team they have watching the house. I let homeowners know and they appreciated the info.

The house was great! Access to the beach was a little challenging with younger kids but it was still a nice walk. Only downside was no broom or vacuum to keep the house tidy through the week and the 3rd floor got very warm at night as we couldn’t change the temp any lower than 70.

The property was very nice and pretty clean. I would suggest getting window air conditioner units for the upstairs bedroom very hot up there. And they need some dish towels. Kitchen very well stocked.

Overall we had a fantastic time. The pool and hot tub perfectly fit our family's needs. The house is set back at the end of the street so there are two neighbors but it is very secluded still. The hosts are great to communicate with.
Some areas needed work.
1. The house was not very clean. Very dusty, you could tell the filter in the house had not been changed in a very long time. Lots of very large cobwebs inside the house. We were required to clean the countertops and tables, and vacuum before we unpacked. We all developed a cough that stopped once at home.
2. Ants Ants Ants, everywhere. There should be some continued services for this.
3. If you have a hard time with stairs, do not choose this property. Very steep stairs.
4. The AC in the Master was not working very well. It was by far the hottest room in the house.
5. All of the shower curtains are moldy.
6. The fire alarm kept going off at weird times.
7. The "short walk" to the beach was not at all. It was a long walk, especially with kids.

Overrall it was a nice house and fairly spacious for our group. The only thing we weren't happy about was the roaches in the grill and the hot tub was not working right. We enjoyed using the pool table and the ping pong table alot at our stay. The pool was great for the kids as well when we did get in.

Our family really enjoyed everything about this home. The baby gates were an added bonus. The owner was very responsive to any of our questions. Plenty of room, nice layout. I would recommend staying here.

Not clean
Had to clean when we got there. There was a bag of goldfish a peach in the pullout couch in living room. The pool pump only worked for 5 minutes it needed to be taken apart cleaned and put back together. I messaged the owner 2 days before check in about the kids scooter and never got a reply. Wifi wasn't working 3 days later they fixed it. The garbage cans smelled so bad that was sitting by the door we almost threw up. Not a good experience at all.

The house and location are great. The property is a need of a little updating. The deck is old and splintering and the access to the path around the lake is in need of better landscaping.

Close to the beach and the pool and hot tub were great! We walked to shopping and restaurants nearby for exercise. The owners were very responsive!

Family Getaway
The owners were easy to communicate with, responsive and unobtrusive. The house is nice and set up nicely to accommodate a large group.
It really needs a good thorough cleaning, though, including having the carpets shampooed and the beds/mattresses need to be updated. I would also have liked to have, at least, some of the basic accoutrements in the kitchen, such as salt and pepper.
The hot tub is amazing and the pool was very nice and well maintained, but, much smaller than it appears in the pictures.

Perfect for our family of 8
We had a last minute cancellation with our original rental and this Corolla property was a godsend, saved our family vacation. I inquired about the property and the owner, Elysha, got back to me right away and was able to help me book it so quickly even though it was so last minute. She was completely understanding. The property was absolutely perfect for our family of 6 adults and 2 kids. Everyone had their own bathrooms and bedrooms. The pool was perfect for an everyday swim for our little ones and the kitchen was fully stocked for our family cooked meals. The house is also perfectly located right in the middle of Corolla, just off the main road but hidden from all the traffic. The beach is quite a walk and you have to carry all your beach gear up the stairs over the dunes. We solved that by having someone drop us off by car. But the beaches are not crowded and the water was warm and clear when we visited. I highly recommend staying at the Corolla escape. From the inviting house, to the central location and great communication from the owner, it was all outstanding.

Multi family trip to Outer Banks
Using the site and renting was very easy. Especially during the pandemic we really appreciated the flexibility to cancel with limited notice . It was a big decision factor in selecting a property.

Pros - Large, fairly well stocked, lots of amenities (pool, pool table, water toys)
Cons - Not very clean, lots of leaks when it rained, too far to walk to the beach.

Wonderful vacation
We all had a wonderful time and the property was great! We all enjoyed the pool and the multiple decks and the views of the pond! We will definitely be back again next year!

Loved the Location!
This was our first visit to OBX. We loved the location and the lake views! The walk to the beach was not far, and we liked that we only saw one neighbor when sitting on the deck! We brought our dog, and when I vacuumed the carpet on Tues and Thurs, I noticed the carpet was dirtier than just from our dog. Not sure anyone vacuumed as well as I did. Also, the tiled floors were dirty and our socks were black after playing pool one night. I could save my cleaning fee and do a better job.

Corolla vacation
This property is dated but has great amenities. We used the pool and hot tub daily and loved being close to the lake. We all loved walking the trail and feeding the turtles on the north side of the lake. The entrance to the trail is on the other side of the neighboring home. Elysha was an amazing host and very responsive. The master bedroom has great views but you can't really see the ocean. Sunrises are great and the beach is about a 7-10 minute walk. The bunks are really tight in the kids room downstairs so I wouldn't feel comfortable with more than two kids per bunk. It's a great location if you need to go to Duck or Northern Corolla. We would stay again.

A little worn but comfortable
The property was somewhat private - It was at the end of the lane and the lake bordered the back. The furnishings were a little worn. The kitchen table was permanently sticky. The “decor” needed decluttering. (For instance the king bedroom had a broken wicker basket, in the closet were wicker little chairs and a box of packaging for the tv.) The extra blanket was dirty. The hot tub cover was in bad shape. Bring your own beach chairs if you have good quality ones. Despite some shabbiness my family enjoyed the location, the roominess, and casual comfy atmosphere.

First and last time to OBX.
The house was very dirty from the unorganized entrance to one bedroom had dirty used sheets and the bathroom had dirty towels and dirty rugs. I emailed manager right away and she apologized and ask if she could send someone to clean I had already washed sheets and towels and cleaned. A cleaning lady came 4 days into our stay and asked if we needed her to clean, a little late at that point.
I don’t ever plan to rent another house for vacation, I will stick to hotels or condos.

Nice stay, few small issues
The property is in a nice location and we had a good stay. We especially enjoyed the walking path around the pond, where you can see and feed turtles.
There were a few small issues. When we arrived one of the beds didn't have linens, there were none the right size in the house and it took a couple days to get them. The listing mentioned there were beach and bath towels but we only found bath towels, and there weren't enough of those.

Corolla was great
My family had a good time in Corolla. The house was nice. It does need some upgrades and maintenance but overall fine. The house is carpeted throughout the second and third floors and can get a bit musty and damp given the humidity and activities (pool/beach). Mattresses were not great and bunk beds on first floor were not very functional. Some lights/lamps were not working and extra light bulbs were not supplied. Two of the smoke detectors started beeping for low battery overnight and woke kids both nights. Thermostat is capped at 70 (which I don’t blame property owners) but can get warm at night with doors closed. Overall nice place but could use some tweaks.

Fun Fall get-away
We took advantage of the kids in 'virtual school' and enjoyed a week in Corolla. The home was clean, well-stocked, with room for everyone to spread out as needed. The internet connection and wifi was strong enough for all to do their online classes and work before heading out to the beach, walk around the lake, soak in pool/hot tub, etc. With easy access to grocery store for any needed items - we ate almost all our meals in. Was a wonderful stay!

Family Fun Despite Cleaning Issues
My family and I enjoyed our stay based on the location. Upon arrival we ran into a few cleaning issues and an ant problem. When we spoke with Elysha she apologized and tried to have the cleaners come back out the next day but we did not feel comfortable until we cleaned it ourselves and did not really trust them to do better this time. The ants were all over the downstairs kitchen area and pest control never made it out. Overall this vacation was very relaxing and we enjoyed our time together. I would recommend having a few more cleaning supplies on site if this happens again. We had to purchase our own which was a bummer.

Perfect week
The house was perfect for our family. The short walk to the beach was nice and being near the pond was good also. My family enjoyed the pool and hot tub.
Only thing I would suggest as an improvement would be to have more kitchen supplies. Mixing bowls, griddle and small things of that nature. Overall the house was perfect and we very much enjoyed our stay and family time.

Man did we need a break
We greatly enjoyed our week in Corolla. This property was exactly as advertised. Very clean and you could sense the attention to detail in the turnover process from one renter to the next.
The house was perfect for us, albeit a bit underutilized with our family of 4. The beach was close enough and great views from the patio of the pond behind the house. We also liked that it was equidistant from the two majors shopping centers. Great week and thank you very much!

Nice property
Loved the layout of the house. Nice size pool and surrounding area. We would stay there again. My only recommendation would be to replace the older TV’s with flat screens with HDMI capability.

Great experience!
Our family had a wonderful time! He location is decent and fairly easy walk (7-10 minutes) to the beach entrance. The kids loved the lake behind the house and the family fished almost every day. Just as an FYI if you have a lot of kids staying. The pool is a bit on the small side but fit the 5 kids just fine, but about max number for adequate space to play. The teenagers rode their bikes to the nearest village shops (10 minute bike) which was a treat for them. The house was clean when we entered and the kitchen was stocked with basic necessities. I do recommend bringing an electric skillet if you have one to making the cooking process faster and a couple kitchen utensils you like cooking with especially if doing seafood (no steam pot or the like). The owners were easy to communicate with and were very accommodating the entire week when we needed something. Also! Highly recommend getting a parking pass for the driving beach up north. Probably the highlight of the week and more relaxing and spacious if you have dogs you are taking and want them to run around.

Very nice rental
Blended family having first vacation with entire crew. We enjoyed this house, the scenery and the close proximity to the stores, beaches and attractions. Weather was the only downer but property was as described. Owner was very helpful with questions.

Staying here was great. It was a nice short walk to the beach and shopping. Good location for quick drives to grocery store, mini golf and landmarks.

What a great place to stay!
Came into this beautiful place right amid Florence scare. With the ocean waters too choppy to swim, we found plenty else to do in and around the house. Wonderful walks, lovely pool, and plenty of entertainment inside.
Very quick bike ride (or moderate walk) to shops both North and South of community and a well groomed path safe from cars. Highly recommend!

Very enjoyable stay at a beautiful home
House has a great layout. Plenty of space and each bedroom has its own bath. It was fully stocked so feeling at home was easy. The sitting area on the top floor was a great area to sit and read or for family game night. The house is beautifully decorated. The pool was a great added bonus. Very short walk to the beach and a beautiful view off the many decks.
