Can't beat the location! House was a bit small on first floor....layout was not the greatest, but it was nice for a couple of days directly on the beach!

We had a fun time here but the unfortunate part was when we arrived the cleaning crew wasn’t done cleaning until about an hour after check in and when trying to contact management they didn’t get back to me until the next day and didn’t care about that and only cared about my car being parked in the wrong spot because I had to since their cleaning people were parked in the garage,then when trying to check out the cleaning crew was there extra early forcing themselves in and didn’t know how to speak any English and wouldn’t wait for us to take our stuff out and was blocking the way the whole time leading to an extra late check out because of the cleaners again, so it was a nice house but just hope you don’t have to deal with the cleaners or the management.

We love the neighborhood and the house. The house location was excellent because it was close to everything. We love the house and plenty of rooms for everyone. Each floor had a different views and right on the boardwalk. We will be back.

We loved our stay at Mission Beach - central to so many activities and literally steps to the boardwalk and beach. People were friendly and we enjoyed local restaurants and shops -- truly considering a second stay!
Property is dog friendly, beach is open to dogs before 9am and after 4pm.

The location of the property is amazing!!! The house does have a few problems that from reading previous reviews have not been fixed suck as the fireplace in the living is not functioning, the Wi-Fi is definitely not functioning well, and the garage is a tight fit for most vehicles ( this is something I expected for a beach front property). They do have some decent beach toys in the garage but the spa on the deck is amazing to enjoys the beautiful sunsets in SD.

The location of the house was great… But not one TV would work because the Wi-Fi is so poor… Everything was based on streaming TVs in the bedrooms, nor in the living room did not work… With that being said, my family had to eat out to watch playoff baseball games, and watch football so bottom line is we spent a lot more money eating out then we would’ve like to enjoy the house. Definitely would not rent this home again.

We stayed here for nearly a week over spring break and needed to be someplace where there were things to do for the teens yet I need some R&R with little to do. The ocean is a stone’s throw from the three story home with great decks to hear the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach. We loved everything about it. The home was clean and the kitchen stocked well enough to make breakfasts and lunches while we could walk to an array of dinner options right from the location. Don’t expect fancy- because the home is not a modern new build but it’s clean and well furnished and the location makes it priceless if you are craving sea air every second you’re in the home. The kids loved the hot tub and I loved the upper deck master bedroom- very peaceful and serene. While the boardwalk directly in front had some unsavory characters at various times, it made for excellent people watching and the house is secured very well and we never felt safety was compromised. We’d stay here again and again. It’s just a perfect set up for a crew with teens and the location is second to none.

Thank you for letting us stay at this wonderful home! It was so nice to be able to just relax and not worry about fixing food, etc. We just each chilled out in our own way. Some sitting on the beach, some running or walking on the boardwalk, some reading on the decks. We got coffee from the shops down near the pier and bagels and pizza. We had time to see other family who lived down in San Diego, but mostly we just enjoyed the sunsets each night. On Halloween we were treated to the nighttime bike parade and it was so much fun to watch on the boardwalk from our decks! We needed this restful vacation.

Great location! Had everything we needed. Floors needed to be cleaned. Surf style was quick to respond and willing to send someone to clean if we wanted. The information email said that the windows are cleaned 2 x weekly. We had one very dirty window upon arrival and departure. We had one plumbing issue that was fixed promptly. The spa was fabulous! We had a great time.

Beautiful Ocean Front Townhouse
This is a very beautiful and clean townhouse, but felt more like a house because you don't hear anyone above or below you. Parking was a little tight, but arrival was easy with photos and access instructions that the management sent a few days prior. The place had everything we needed and was very comfortable for our group. We'd like to thank Surf Style again for a relaxing stay.

This was our 1st experience with a vacay rental, Loved it! I had doubts about not having air conditioning but thanks to weather and location it was not a factor. Noteworthy: There are ceiling fans in every bedroom, family room and several free standing fans in each of the closets! The property is extremely spacious throughout! I personally appreciated having 3 levels. It was nice and quiet in the bedrooms on the 1st level. (Noteworthy there is no TV in the bedroom on 1st level with king bed) My in laws (79, 80) had the bedroom on the 3rd level. They admitted the queen bed was a little snug for them but were extremely pleased with the balcony, view of ocean, tv, and spacious on suite! They normally leave the TV on as they fall asleep at night and due to hearing loss often keep the volume high. I appreciated that the sound was confined to the 3rd level. I LOVED having the kitchen, dining, grill and family room on the second level. We were able to take in the incredible view, enjoy the ocean breeze with windows wide open while feeling completely secure. The garage is extremely deep and could have accommodated a Toyota pathfinder as well as a GMC Yukon XL had we moved the storage bin from the garage. We opted to park the Toyota in the space provided outside the kids bedroom window just east of the patio. You do need spotters if driving larger vehicles due to the narrow parameters, but ample parking none the less! The laundry room is quite large and I liked having a dryer for our swimsuits and towels each day! I was pleasantly surprised by the resources provided. 3 rolls of tp for each bathroom, 2 rolls of paper towels in kitchen (We did use one of our own paper towel rolls by the 3rd day), hand soap and dish washing soap, small bars of soap for showers and miniature shampoos. There were ample towels in bathrooms as well as beach towels. (They are older, thinner towels but worked just fine). And the aforementioned storage bin was overflowing with beach chairs (5), boogie boards (2 with straps, 1 without), as well as many miscellaneous sand toys, football, beach ball and floaties. The appliances in the kitchen are all updated and were extremely clean! The kitchen is on the smaller side and does not have a direct view of the ocean, but these were non factors for us. The atmosphere around this property was very family friendly. The boardwalk and beach are literally your front yard for this rental and that alone was worth every penny!

Spectacular, Highly Recommend
This was our 1st experience with a vacay rental, Loved it! I had doubts about not having air conditioning but thanks to weather and location it was not a factor. Noteworthy: There are ceiling fans in every bedroom, family room and several free standing fans in each of the closets! The property is extremely spacious throughout! I personally appreciated having 3 levels. It was nice and quiet in the bedrooms on the 1st level. (Noteworthy there is no TV in the bedroom on 1st level with king bed) My in laws (79, 80) had the bedroom on the 3rd level. They admitted the queen bed was a little snug for them but were extremely pleased with the balcony, view of ocean, tv, and spacious on suite! They normally leave the TV on as they fall asleep at night and due to hearing loss often keep the volume high. I appreciated that the sound was confined to the 3rd level. Great place. I just thought the BBQ grill should have been checked out for proper operation and not have corroded out burners disabling proper heat. We tried it for an hour and couldn't get the grill to heat properly. Therefore we just had to shut it down and not do the grilling we were looking forward to. Also for a place that sleeps 10 you might want to add more forks so that there is more than just 5. Some of us ate with spoons. Also with the broken clothes washer agitator top, we chose not to use it in case there was an issue there also. The place itself was very nice.

Great Views and Pet Friendly
We were a bit hesitant to book with Surf Style because we couldn't find many reviews; however, the company was great. We appreciated the responsiveness to inquiries and the welcome kit that prepared us well for our stay. Everything was as advertised. After a long day of travel, that was welcome.
The unit itself was also great. We wanted a pet friendly place with plenty of room for 5 adults and a dog. This house has an attached garage (that is actually 5' longer than advertised -- we were worried that two cars would not fit, but the length was 32' instead of 27'). The laundry room off the garage was large and perfect for the dog crate. All of the floors are tile so there were no grungy carpets which you sometimes find in pet friendly rentals.
The kitchen is well stocked, the beds comfortable, the lighting good, and the layout provided a great central gathering spot. Even though our visit coincided with "June Gloom," the views were fantastic, and it was easy to relish the ocean and activity from inside. The June gloom ended on July 1, and then we really enjoyed the outdoor balconies. It was nice to have the hot tub, too. We were in easy walking distance of lots of restaurants, a grocery store, and the Mission Bay walking/biking path. It should be noted that there is no air conditioner, and it did get humid at times. Using the fans and opening the windows helped with that.
The only improvement we would recommend would be more bath towels -- we received one regular sized towel per person, but the women use one for their hair and another for the body so two per person would have been nice. All of the towels and linens also seemed worn and ready for replacement. Also, the numbers on lock on the hot tub have corroded and were very difficult to read. These, however, were minor inconveniences. We would highly recommend.

Honestly amazing location! Biggest and onlyComplaint is that 1. The hot tub seems to have a small leak and we had to keep filling it. And 2 we could not find any extra blankets. Other than that great house great location!

Thanks, the house was fully equipped and in the perfect location. We had a great time. And so close to the bay and restaurants and the pier is walking distance. The hot tub to watch the sun go down, was a five star luxury.
