Beautifully restored property with stunning lake views

unfortunately we were not able to enjoy the property as i contacted Covid one day prior to arrival. this reviev is based on what our friends experienced

We had a lovely stay in Someraro. This property had everything we needed for a family of 4 and it was very nicely remodeled. A bit of a caution if stairs are an issue, as this home has three different levels, but that's also what allows for the gorgeous view from the living and kitchen area. The stairs were easy to navigate and not a problem for us at all. The master bedroom is on the main floor as you walk in. It has a very spacious and beautiful bathroom. The next level has the two other bedrooms which were spacious, along with a full bath to share. The top floor is where you will find a kitchen and the living room which has ample, very comfortable seating and a nice dining table. There is also a half bath on this floor. We didn't do a lot of cooking besides a simple breakfast, but the kitchen seemed to have everything one would need. The host was very responsive both before and during our trip and provided a lot of helpful information about the area in her welcome/check-in email as well as in a very comprehensive book in the home. I will note it was about a 30 minute walk (down hill) to Stresa and a 35 minute walk (up hill - fairly steep) back to the home in Someraro. We did this one day and it was a significant but doable walk. However, the host can provide the number of a driver in town who will pick you up and drive you to Stresa and take you back for the return trip too. The drivers seem to help each other out. If one isn't available they will contact a colleague and get you where you need to go. We found this to be very easy to do and used the drivers in the evenings. We were very happy with our stay and would stay here again!

Wir konnten eine wunderschöne Frühlingswoche, in diesem gemütlichen Haus mit viel Liebe zum Detail verbringen. Das Haus ist mit allem Komfort ausgestattet und entspricht genau den Bildern. Der Blick von der Dachterrasse ist unbeschreiblich das muss man selber erleben. Möchte mich noch herzlich bedanken für die Wünsche die im Vorfeld bekannt waren. Wir kommen gerne wieder

If you are looking for something special, a special building in a special surrounding, a unique experience in a holiday accomodation, then this is for you. The building is a refurbished old village house, decorated with the most sensitive feeling for style but at the same time keeping its charme. The photos say it allm, they are not "photoshopped", everything is as it is shown there. The view from the roof terrace (and also from the living room by the way) is truly unforgettable. You are tempted to just sit there for the whole holidays and watch the lake, in the morning with its mist, during the day when it becomes active and at night when the lights come up and everything looks like glittering juwels. The accomodation is spacious and very modernly equipped, sleeping rooms are on the ground floor and first floor, living room and kitchen on the second floor. The kitchen has a gas stove and oven, dish washer, there is even a washing machine and dryer which is priceless for families with children. The region itself belongs to the most special in Europe in my view, Alps mountain area with a huge lake and an atmosphere like at the Italian cost with palm trees and exotic fruits, unique combination. Stresa is glamorous, with loads of restaurants and an impressive seafront promenade which invites for walks. Milano is a 1.5 hrs drive away if you want to dive into a big city. Lago Orta is around the corner with picturesque villages where every turn looks like from a travel guide. The host is good as gold, as other reviews mention as well, responding quickly, friendly, helpful, as you wish a host to be (but rarely experience it). If you have a larger car do follow the instructions in the very valuable welcome pack.

This house is amazing and one can tell The care and love that was put forth in the restoration. One of the teens proclaimed that it made her feel like a princess. 3 stars for listing accuracy because the 150 euro cleaning fee to be left at end of stay was a surprise although to be fair I didn’t read the fine print . Even going back to the listing I had a hard time catching it. This is a minor critique as everything about this house was lovely.

Das Haus ist fantastisch gelegen. Es befindet sich mitten in einem kleinen Dorf nahe des Sees und bietet einen beeindruckend schönen Ausblich auf den Lago Maggiore vom Wohn- und Esszimmer sowie der darüber liegenden Dachterasse. Vor dem Haus kann mit größeren Fahrzeugen nicht geparkt werden. Hierzu muss in ca. 100 Meter Entfernung ein kostenloser Parkplatz belegt werden. Dies ist ein sehr schönes, empfehlenswertes Haus für Wanderer oder Leute die mit dem Auto die Umgebung erkunden wollen.

Loved it. It’s a beautiful house with an amazing view in a lovely quiet village. Our main concern was access with the BMW X5….we kept it in the square which is really close by. Lovely walk to and from stresa (hosts left the number of a driver who spoke some English (but suggest WhatsApp) incase you don’t want to walk the hill). Unfortunately none of the restaurants suggested by the hosts were available so I would suggest booking well in advance.

Excellent séjour: maison rénovée avec beaucoup de soin, très bien localisée, spacieuse, parfait pour 6. Très bons restaurants à proximité, stresa à quelques minutes de voiture, calme d’un village italien. Nous recommandons.

Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Aussicht ist umwerfend. Es gibt in der näheren Umgebung soviel Schönes zu erkunden, dass ein Urlaub allein nicht ausreicht. Joanna ist ausgesprochen herzlich, hilfsbereit und gastfreundlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Das Haus hat eine grandiose Lage im kleinen, idyllischen Ort Someraro. Im Innern und besonders von der Dachterrasse bieten sich traumhafte Ausblicke auf den Lago und die Umgebung. Eigentlich kann man den Urlaub auch komplett im Haus genießen. Die Einrichtung ist sehr liebevoll und stilvoll gestaltet. Es fehlt an nichts. Besonders hervorheben muss man die sehr aufmerksame und nette Betreuung durch die Vermieterin in der gesamten Zeit. Man konnte sich jederzeit an Sie wenden, es wurde umgehend geantwortet und geholfen. Vor allem während der schwierigen und unsicheren Pandemielage war dies enorm hilfreich. Besser gehts nicht. Volle Punktzahl in allen Bereichen! Vielen Dank für einen wunderschönen Urlaub!

Ein Haus, das mit seinem großartigen Ausblick von der Dachterasse und dem Wohnbereich, seiner liebevoll gestalteten Einrichtung und seiner umfäglichen Ausstattung besticht. Ausgangspunkt für Sightseeing, Wanderungen, Mountainbiketouren oder Baden am See...ganz wundervoll. Sehr sympatische Kommunikation mit Joanna, der Besitzerin. Wir freuen uns auf unseren nächsten Aufenthalt dort!

5 Tage genossen wir das große Haus, verbrachten in den Sonnenstunden Zeit auf der Dachterrasse und am Abend in den großen Ei-Badewanne. Küche und Haus sind wirklich mit allen ausgestattet. Zu Fuß braucht man 35 min bis zum Seeufer.

Es ist ein großzügiges Haus mit einer hochwertigen Ausstattung und einem grandiosen Blick auf den Lago. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können das Haus absolut weiter empfehlen.

Wenn man in einem Kleinbus wie wir anreist hat man jedoch ein Parkplatzproblem und Rangierproblem, da die Strassen sehr sehr eng sind..das wars aber auch schon an Kritik.

This is a wonderful holiday home. It has loads of steps so be aware of that but the roof terrace is the real star of the show with amazing views of Lake Maggiore - we sat there every evening watching the sun set. Joanna is amazing - she suggested trips and restaurants we would never have tried otherwise and they turned out to be highlights of our week in Stresa. The house is beautifully and sympathetically furnished and equipped with everything you could ever need. It's great value and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Als wir ankamen wurden unsere Erfahrungen mehr als erfüllt!!! In diesem Haus ist ALLES!!! Wirklich alles da was man braucht. Die Küche ist mehr als vollausgestattet!!! Die Betten sind seht bequem, die Bäder sauber und groß. Sogar einen Trokner gab es auch, für eine Familie mit kleinen Kindern sehr super!!! Die Joanna war immer gleich erreichbar und hat uns tolle Tipps gegeben!!! Vielen Dank noch mals!

Satisfaction générale concernant la location et très belle vue. Petit électroménager et matériel de cuisine dans un état très moyen (concernant le gros électroménager, nous avons uniquement utilisé la plaque de cuisson et le réfrigérateur)

We loved staying at Casa Bella Vista. The views of Lake Maggiore were tremendous from the house which took our breath away ... really a million dollar view. Everything was clean and functional. The dining area and kitchen are open plan which we really loved. It was also fun to reside in an Italian village for 10 days. The restaurant in the village was also lovely and of gourmet standard.

Wonderful home with a roof terrace that can’t be beat, but a lot of stairs due to 4 levels so be warned. Mosquitos were plenty in July so buy repellent. Otherwise a fabulous property overlooking the lake. We enjoyed it tremendously!
