My family and my sister’s family have been getting together for 30 years. We started at the Hyatt Hill country, then the JW Marriott Hill Country and just this year decided to rent a house. We spent so much more time together having a nice pool for just us, large firepit, beautiful back patio and a large kitchen table. After a vote we have decided to continue renting this house. This house is beautiful and the owners and manager are so friendly and helpful. They were attentive to any issues that came up, which were very minor. The house is truly a gem and allowed everyone to gather together and then to retreat to private spaces.

We have been having a family vacation every year for 20+ years. As our family has grown our house needs have grown. We are all coming from different part of Texas and this was a great central location for most. This property was a great size for our family of 19, of which two are a 2 year and 7 month old. This kitchen was well stocked, and we actually never ran out of silverware. It had more small appliances, including a crock pot, blender, convection oven, dual ovens. With the guest house there were 3 full size refrigerators, so there was plenty of room for all our food, and were able to make the one in the laundry room our drink refrigerator. The pool was perfect. Only one of the 2 tvs at the pool was working, but we were able to easily watch our sports teams while enjoying the pool.

We had an amazing time at Whispering Oaks. The house was wonderful and had everything we needed to spend some quality time with family members who came from far and near to celebrate our son and daughter-in-law’s wedding.

We gathered for our family reunion from near and far! The house and property were so welcoming! There was ample space for everyone to relax and renew. We had a wonderful time reminiscing about old days and creating new memories! We hope to gather again in the “Gateway to the Texas Hill Country” and this home would be our first choice! Our family certainly enjoyed our time at whispering Oaks estate. The space was beautiful and spacious and everything was clean and welcoming. I definitely recommend this space for any family gatherings or just a time to spend in serenity.

My husband and I stayed here with our wedding party members during our wedding weekend in Driftwood. This property was perfect not only to accommodate our group of 20, but also to hold our welcome reception event for our guests the night before our wedding. When we arrived, Josh was super friendly and gave us a really thorough orientation of the property and all the features around. The house and casita were clean and spacious with a lot of rooms to easily hold a lot of us and hang out, so we were never really on top of each other despite our big group size. It was also nice how secluded the property was and expansive the backyard was. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to use the pool or hot tub, but the whole backyard setup was very cool and beautifully setup.
The event space that was right next to the casita was a nice size and had the perfect bar area setup for us to have a great time on Wednesday night with the additional people we invited over for the welcome event. It was also nice that the garage doors could open to bring some cool air since there was a lot of people in one large room.
Overall, we were very happy with this rental for the 3 nights we stayed there. Definitely a great spot for large groups to hangout and enjoy the charm of the hill country landscape.

Our bridal party stayed at Whispering Oaks for our wedding in Dripping Springs. This was a perfect location for everyone to relax and unwind after the wedding! Our whole party enjoyed the pool and the relaxing atmosphere. The house was clean and the kitchen stocked with everything we needed! The beds were also incredibly comfortable. 10/10 recommend!

Wonderful experience and stay at this beautiful property. Family reunion with children of all ages. Had a great four day Stay at this beautiful property. Driving distance to quite a few breweries as well, owner/property manager is very responsive and helpful! Thank you guys for helping us create some amazing memories!

Great place for this event. It is secluded and at the same time, close to anything you might need. One star off of cleanliness because a few of the crowd were not happy with the lizard poo scattered about on the flatwork outside. (I tried “It’s the hill country. get over it”. but that didn’t work.). Otherwise, the place was immaculate.

Perfect spot for a get together for 12 friends. Pictures don't do it justice - space was clean and pool was great! Location was close enough to Dripping Springs for easy grocery runs, but then private enough to feel like you were on your own!

Property was just like the pictures, beautiful, clean, with all things we needed, towels, coffee, some toys etc. Josh was very attentive, punctual, helpful. We were there for my nephew's wedding. The mother in-law-suite was just perfect for all the ladies to get ready there. We were able to relax on Sunday and watch the football game in the backyard. We had a wonderful time!

We all loved the place - it was nice, private and generally clean; Dripping is great; and lots of activities are within a stone's throw. We found Josh very responsive. Only issue was that, in spite of discussing over messages at booking that we wanted a working hot tub, the hot tub was barely functional. It heated up a couple of times but after 2+ hours of heating in some cases (which required going out to reset the clock every hour).
Josh was responsive but insisted the lead-time was the issue. By the last day, the hot tub stopped working - Josh came by noticeably peeved that he had to. We reached out yesterday asking for some kind of compensation from the owners and never heard back. We were pleased with our stay but given the season and the premium paid for the pool and hot tub, it was disappointing that no diagnostic was done before we went in to make sure the hot tub was working and more than one communication regarding the situation wasn't followed up with an immediate request for a specialist to come and check the situation out as it exacerbated.
Second, it felt a bit stingy not to have extra toilet paper and some other basic kitchen supplies (although lack of certain items like a fully filled propane tank was disclosed, so this was not a transparency issue) - not costly and goes a long way to add basics. You could have boxes of them in the pantry for restocking after each reservation.
Last, we got locked out at one point after the gate closed before we returned home late at night- I understand this property is a magnet for bachelor/bachelorette parties and the gate may be a crowd control tool in a bind but Josh, who was responsive, didn't immediately share the gate code when we called fairly upset, but then sent it to us over the text. There should be some differentiation based on reservation types around managing risks. We were pretty furious to be stuck outside wondering if we'll have to leave the car out or climb the fence to find a solution.

This property is Absolutely stunning Me and my family enjoyed Celebrating Christmas in this beautiful home. The check in process was great. Josh was a very good host and very easy to reach. The house was fully stocked with everything you can think of. I definitely plan on booking again when the weather changes so we can really enjoy this amazing home.

This property is beautiful! We were there for our daughter’s wedding weekend. . A wonderful experience for our family! We enjoyed the pool and the house was so clean! We would definitely book this property again. Josh was very easy to contact with any questions or concerns. Great location for Dripping Springs wedding venues! Our only complaint-we didn’t have enough time to fully enjoy the house!

This property is beautiful and so peaceful. Our group of 16 enjoyed this property. The house is well stocked and we didn’t have to search or purchase any items except for food. Would definitely recommend this property to others and we plan to visit again.

I cannot say enough good things about Josh!! We booked the house earlier and drove down to make sure it would be exactly what we needed. He was so gracious to let us look around even though another group had just left.
It was PERFECT for our needs!!
So much time spent in the pool. We brought our own pool basketball hoop from home so that gave the guys lots of entertainment.
Also, our guests were impeccable with following the house rules!! By house rules, I mean MINE and those listed. We always try to leave everything as we found it or better. We all appreciated the property and loved our time there.

Whispering Oaks is an absolute dream! John & Porcha went above and beyond and left no detail unaddressed. The kitchen was stocked with every tool a gourmet chef might need, including higher end appliances and a well stocked coffee bar! The guest house was equally equipped. I can’t wait to stay at this property again!

They home, room accommodations, grounds were simply beautiful and filled every need for our weekend. We stayed in April and the pool was a bit cool for this time of year but we enjoyed the hot tub! It is the perfect dream location if you are planning a wedding and want to host a large group. It was a magical experience! The hosts are wonderful to work with and it’s worth paying a little extra to get an early if you have to set up for a dinner or anything. We had a caterer and bartender set up on the back patio and it was lovely! We will definitely consider renting it again during the summer so we can swim. Two days is not long enough to enjoy all that this home has to offer.

We stayed here for our wedding which was at another property. My family and friends loved it had plenty of room. My one and only complaint was cold showers. However I was quickly replied to by the host who gave me some tricks, let me know he mentioned that to my husbanded and noted they are making updates to the water heater this summer. The house is wonderful and 100x more beautiful in person. Had a great stay!
