My wife and I recently stayed (August 3-10/24) in Dianne’s place at the upstairs property. Newly renovated the place was terrific. Bright, clean, close to the beach and town. All the beach amenities are included from towels to boards to wagons and toys if you have children. Diane was an excellent hostess with clear, concise communication. Highly recommend.

Perfect place for our family to stay. Updated kitchen and bath were lovely. Nice ocean view off deck. Beach and town within easy walking. Host was quick to respond to our questions. Would love to return to San Clemente and stay here again!

We loved our stay at this beach house. We had the chance to meet Diane, the owner, upon our arrival, and she was a gracious host from the very beginning. The house is beautiful. clean, and well-maintained, with everything we needed. We loved the quick watch to the beach and access to the boogie boards, beach wagon, and beach chairs. This place is a gem and we can't wait to come back next year.

Clean and well equipped inside and out. We used the beach gear. The location makes it easy to walk to the beach without having to deal with parking. The home had everything we needed and was super comfortable.

My family really enjoyed our stay. Good communication and easy check-in and the location was very good. Off street parking was nice. Close to beach and beach trail, and just a short walk to Del Mar for food and shopping. Would recommend and definitely stay again.

Host was exceptionally responsive, the condo was clean and close to the beach and Del Mar for restaurants and shops. I thought parking might be an issue but there was always street parking available either directly in front or one house away, plus the driveway. The only improvement would be a kitchen remodel…but that is being done now!

Everything you need for a relaxing beach getaway is waiting for you, just bring your suit. Shopping and restaurants are within a 5-10 minute drive. We had a wonderful stay and would stay there again. Thanks Diane !!

This is the second summer we've stayed here and hope to stay again in the future. It's close walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shops. The place is very clean and they updated the bathroom since our last visit. Our kids enjoyed playing ping pong and using the beach equipment. It's also nice to have a place to park in the driveway. 4 of us stayed here for 4 nights. We wish we could have stayed longer. The house was amazing. Comfortable, very clean. Very well stocked with everything you could need. The outdoor patio was lovely and so enjoyable for morning coffee, or any other time actually. Nice ocean views. Walkable to beach trail, pier, downtown, which was great because parking at those places can be tricky. We absolutely loved our stay. Thank you. We'll be back.

Perfect location, ocean view on the balcony starts your day and gives a place to relax in the sun. The property has many amenities not always common. It was so easy to get around and close to everything! I would definitely stay here again!

We had some original complaints but Diane addressed them almost immediately. All the remotes were missing their batteries or they were dead and we were really hoping to watch the World Cup games. She and her Son showed up just in time! Our heros! It was very difficult to not annoy the neighbors downstairs as the porch chairs were very noisy so it felt as if we had to walk on eggshells. I could only imagine that annoyance for the downstairs occupance! We addressed that to Diane when she visited to let her know we were trying to be quite if there were any complaints. The lights were super confusing, for those who come in at night, you had to walk through the dark or use your phone light to find the lamps because the light switch was just for the fans. I suggest fans for when it's summer time. Also lastly if you are planning on doing dinners they were lacking some essential utensils. Over all this place was fun! Our Marine and our other Son absolutely enjoyed the game room and the fact that it was so close to the town and the beach.

Rented this place for a week for a surf trip. Worked out well, was close to downtown and lots of restaurants and shopping. Walking distance to the pier and a close drive to other surf spots.

Good time!
We had such a great time in SC for July 4th. They go all out. Diane's place is so close to everything, we could celebrate without the worry of driving. The place was clean and the balcony was really nice, with ocean view!

Great local.
Great local for everything we wanted to do in San Clemente. It’s an older space and a little small. some nice updates have been done. The bathroom needs work but we had plenty of hot water. Diane was accommodating with any requests. We enjoyed the stay.

Perfect spot
Great place for our family of 4 that was in town visiting extended family. The kids loved the ping pong tables and all the beach toys! It’s in a great location easily walkable to the beach or to shopping/restaurants. Lots of little touches/amenities that made our stay that much more enjoyable. Diane is great, and we hope to stay here next time we’re in town!

This property is well appointed. Great big screen, washer and dryer. Kitchenette and comfortable beds. The wrap around porch is up high with a partial ocean view. Can’t go wrong in San Clemente. Diane a delightful hostess!

Great Place!
Such a sweet little place. The bed was so comfy. And I was so touched that they had hung up a beautiful wreath on the door and the cutest little Christmas tree with the lights on a timer. It was so nice to come home on a rainy evening and see the tree all lit up. Honestly one of the kindest thing a host has ever done!

Thank you again for the use of your lovely home. We cooked for our US Marine son and his friends for Thanksgiving We loved the view and everything was great. The game area was a success as well Was hard to leave this morning.

Nice place
We enjoyed our stay. The beds were very comfortable. It was quite small but enough room for the two of us. We loved the patios and the view was outstanding. One problem was that the people in the downstairs always parked in the driveway and we always had to find street parking.

It was the perfect fit for the purpose of our vacation. Neighborhood was quiet, which we greatly appreciated! Loved the option of the deck to have coffee or a cocktail. My favorite room was the living room but the highlight of our stay was the beds!

Fabulous Apartment
Came to town for the Ohana Fest Encore weekend and this was the perfect place for two of us. Walkable to the beach and shops in San Clemente and a short Uber to the venue. Would definitely stay again!!

A wonderful, relaxing stay. Beautiful view of beach & lovely close walk to coast. Friendly owner, guests, and neighborhood. Picturesque view. Family friendly. My kids loved the table tennis & Fooseball too. Great food nearby. Brick Italian restaurant great. Highly recommend.

Surf Trip
Perfect accommodations for our planned surf trip to the San Onofre area. Property was as described , great quiet neighborhood, close to local surf breaks and others both north and south. Also very convenient to downtown SC. Property manager was great and communication was a breeze. Would recommend staying here and would book it again on return.

The Perfect Place
This was the perfect place for our family. We came to visit our Marine son so I was looking for something to give us a “home” atmosphere with a kitchen, living room, dining area, and bedrooms. We enjoyed staying here and plan to stay here again in the future. Diane, the owner, is a sweetheart, and checked on us regularly. Being from Texas, we really did have a little home away from home for our Marine.

Overall a great spot and good for a family. Close to beach and nice ocean views from the 2nd floor deck. Clean and quiet. TV channel selection was pretty limited but that only mattered at night and was only a minor drawback.

Great Location
This condo was perfect for our small family. The location is a very short walk to the beach that my young kids enjoyed every day. It also had everything from boogie boards to towels, beach umbrellas and chairs so it was nice that we didn’t have to worry about any of that. The neighborhood is very quiet and it’s a very nice small community. Overall our experience was great and we would definitely use again when we come back!

Owner has poor customer service
We arrived to a garage that had a messy section of beach toys and sand. Because the owner was present at check in on the property and clearly saw the garage, we figured it wasn’t a big deal. However, the first day we used the boogie boards and equipment (which was day 3 of our 4 day stay) we received rude text messages from the owner implying that we had broken several boogie boards and left the garage and beach toys full of sand. When I told her it was that way upon arrival and since she was in property day of check in should already be aware of this, she proceeded to tell me that she inspects each beach item and the garage after every checkout. Clearly she does not. It made the rest of our stay so uncomfortable, that I felt I needed to take pictures of all items both in house and outside to ensure that we weren’t goi g to be accused of something we didn’t do. We stay in a VRBO at least 3 times per year in this area and have never had this type of problem from an owner. Wouldn’t been best if she had asked a couple questions about the beach equipment and the condition upon our arrival rather than making assumptions and accusations. Next renter should be aware of this.

We were beyond impressed with this rental in San Clemente. Being beach lovers, we enjoyed staying so close to the shore, with restaurants and shops in walking distance. Diane is so helpful, thoughtful, and extremely organized... there’s no way you can go wrong!
