Beautiful and cosy living room with a great bed and excellent kitchen facilities. The bed was super comfy and we slept wonderfully. We were out in Alton towers during the day so didn’t get to make use of the lovely garden but it was lovely to look out onto. We had great communication with the host and she helped with all queries. Would recommend to solo travelers or couples looking for a peaceful cottage

This little cottage is perfect for a getaway .. nice town ,lovely people and great location if your visiting Alton Towers ..Joanne was extremely helpful with guiding us to the cottage and parking ,cottage was very clean and tidy ,highly recommend

The cottage was lovely, comfortable, private and super clean.

Local amenities were just steps away, as the cottage is situated in a quiet alleyway just off the High Street..
Days out options are good.
We enjoyed visiting the Churnet Valley Railway for a cream tea experience.
We also visited the nearby Peak District, which is beautiful.
St Giles Church in Cheadle is also a must see.
Our only slight negative, was although the parking wasn't far away, it was in a car park across the High Street, not in view of the cottage.

The property was as advertised quiet and cosy, extremely clean, all information was at the cottage i had no complaint whatsoever very happy with our stay.

Second time staying. Was very delighted with a xmas card and a bottle of wine to celebrate . Had a wonderful stay, clean, tidy and quiet.

Lovely cottage, bright and well appointed for 2 night stay. Very quiet, great for sleeping. Garden available for sitting. Manager available if needed and responsive.
Does have steep steps coming into cottage from walkway.

The only issues I had was the tv stopped working, there was no signal. This didnt bother me at all but the overall damp issue did bother me and was overpowering, unfortunately.
I, too, live in a very old building but there is no damp or musty smell.
I agee with previous reviewers in that the damp is an issue which causes health issues during stay and needs to be resolved.

Nestled and hidden from the High Street of Cheadle this lovely cottage is perfect to relax and unwind with a georgous hidden walled garden.

I booked this for my daughter and her partner as part of a surprise birthday trip after they have worked all through lockdown, he took a video and the cottage looked amazing and really inviting, it’s spotless and really comfortable, fair to say they didn’t want to come home. Thank you for making their weekend complete.

Very well equipped property, peaceful and handy. The only negative is the parking, we had to sit and wait ages for a space and didn’t feel 100% about leaving it on a cut through car park overnight but can appreciate there is not much space in town.

Perfect Location and Cottage for Alton Towers Visit
Practically fully equipped and lovely cottage perfectly hidden away in the centre of Cheadle. Me and the Mrs had an absolute blast and the cottage was perfect for a well deserved time away for us both after 17 months of the COVID pandemic. Would recommend for a quiet romantic break away or a gallivant to Alton Towers.

Quaint little cottage that although off a busy road is very quiet. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be going back.

Very cosy and clean cottage!! However shower was very poor, & we struggled to find it as no sign
Really lovely place to stay and would defiantly recommend and come back. But I think the shower needed looking at, as it kept going from freezing to boiling hot back to freezing and took about 10 mins of it running to work. We loved the little fire in the front room and the cottage was lovely and warm all the time. Great place to stay if you’re off to Alton Towers. However the cottage could do with having a sign/label to stay where it is or at least say what colour gate it is in the description as we walked to the very end of the ally trying to find it.

Aptly named Hidden Cottage is great!
The cottage is beautifully renovated, and furnished and equipped to a very high standard.
Cheadle (Staffs) is ideally situated for visiting local places of interest, and walks.

down the steps and in you go to one of the best kited out cottages i have ever seen,shower is brill,bed is comfy,kitchen has every utensil you can ask for.Jo is very helpful and full of good advice about the area and what to do,we had a minor problem with the fire alarm and she bent over backwards to get it sorted .we had a great stay and would love to go back one day thanks a lot for makeing us so wellcom.

Beautifully decorated very well equipped and the Bed was very comfortable!! very quiet peaceful location just off the high street..
Extremely convenient with Restaurants and shops almost on the door step..

Amazing short stay
Beautiful hidden away cottage to stay for a couple of days to go to Alton towers. Had everything we needed and a bonus being able to enter early. Would happily return here.

Great property hidden away in the Town Centre, perfect location if spending a weekend at Alton Towers with plenty to do on an evening. The property is fantastic inside, homely and exceptionaly clean. Would definitely book again next year!!

Hidden gem!
It was lovely and convenient to everything we were doing over the Christmas Period. It is spacious for two people and very well appointed. We will definitely stay again and recommend to others. A great stay!

A gem in the centre of Cheadle
A well-equipped, beautifully decorated one bedroom cottage, hidden in the centre of Cheadle. The bed is comfortable and the lounge is cosy. The gorgeous walled garden at the back would be a great coffee spot in summer.

Gemütlicher Aufenthalt in Cheadle
Von der nicht so schönen Stadt und dem Zugang zum Grundstück etwas geschockt, waren wir vom Ferienhaus sehr positiv überrascht. Wir haben es sehr genossen dort zu wohnen. Auch der sehr kurze Weg vom Parkplatz war kein Problem. Supermarkt in der Nähe und die Lage der Stadt waren für uns auch sehr wichtig. Insgesamt sehr schön.
Nun noch einmal zur schwarzen Grundstückseingangstür, die so schlimm klemmt, dass alle in der Umgebung merken (hören), wenn man ankommt. Mit einem Schraubenschlüssel oder einer Rohrzange lässt sich die schiefe Stellung der Tür in 1 Minute korregieren.

Hidden cottage is a gem
Hidden Cottage is a gem very aptly named as it's hidden behind the shops on the High Street Cheadle and can only be accessed up a small laneway between shops. Very tastefully decorated and a delight to be in. Everything you need is supplied. Completely private. Perfect retreat for two wanting a relaxing time away from home.

Charming and comfortable hideaway
We had a lovely two nights here. The cottage is beautifully decorated and so well equipped. It was too cold to use the garden much but it was lovely not being overlooked from any direction. We had a fab stay and hope to come back in the future!

Hidden Cottage is a lovely place
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hidden Cottage in Cheadle. The cottage contained everything that we needed, except maybe a washer/dryer. It was well laid out, clean and very welcoming. Cheadle is also very central to a number of locations. We visited Northern Wales, Liverpool, the football at Stoke-on-Trent, Lyme Park, Chatsworth House to name a few spots. I would thoroughly recommend it to others.

Wonderful Hideaway
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cottage. Joanne had left essentials so we didn't have to go shopping after our long drive. She even left us treats.
The property was well equipped for home from home living. It was clean, tidy and immaculately decorated to a high standard.
The location was surprising as only a few steps to Cheadle High Street but the cottage was a haven of peace and quiet.
