We had a fantastic time in Nantucket. The house is close to town but also in a quiet neighborhood, so everything was super accessible. The yard gave us great space to be outside, and everything about the house was high quality and comfortable.

We came to Nantucket for a family gathering and this house was absolutely perfect. The amenities were great, plenty of room and the house had character (exactly what you want when you come to Nantucket). The location is walkable to town, the beaches and pretty much any main area you would want to be in. Our host was responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay again!

You can’t go wrong on Nantucket and being closer to town was a bonus. We were comfortable as a party of five. More than that would mean playing musical chairs given the layout. The photos are much better than the reality. Great, functional kitchen. Owner should provide more basics given the hefty price point. Bring toilet paper? Give me a break.

Family vacay
Great for our family of 5. 3 adult (children in 20’s) comfortable in upstairs 3 rooms with bathroom and parents downstairs . Plenty of space to play games or relax on first floor. Great porches, front and back! Most comfortable porch swings ever. Would have given 5 stars if beach chairs, umbrella, cooler , and tp were provided. Otherwise a very lovely stay in a beautiful home.

Perfect Nantucket house
Absolutely loved Southern Sass! The location is unbeatable and the house is even better in person. There is ample outdoor space and an awesome front porch. We loved the proximity to town, outdoor shower, multiple bedrooms and beautiful decor. We hope to return soon!

Great house in perfect location.
This property is just as adorable as pictured - does not disappoint. It had everything we needed, and is perfectly located for walking or biking to town or the beach. The outside deck is lovely for coffee in the mornings, and the rooftop is amazing at sunset. We had no issues while we were there, but the owner was accessible and helpful throughout the booking process and stay. We look forward to returning next year!

Great location and lovely house!
We stayed here with our two kids, ages 1 and 4, as well as our parents for a few days. The location could not have been better for having small children. A quick walk to children’s beach or jetties and a short walk to downtown! The house was the perfect size and had everything we needed. The kids loved the yard and the porch swings!

Nantucket Weekend
We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous home in the Brant Point neighborhood. The house is immaculate, updated and beautifully furnished. It is walking distance from all the restaurants and shops that we visited, and just down the street from the White Elephant hotel where we hosted our daughter's wedding. The house is a short walk and easy drive to the ferries too. The outside is landscaped to perfection with a deck right off the kitchen and a brand new outside shower. We could not recommend this special property more highly.

Fantastic location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the future. Great location at the end of a quiet side street in Brant Point and abutting a wetland area offers really nice views back towards town. With three younger children, we really value the location and ease of biking to Jetties beach, children's beach and town.

Location for this house is great but the house itself is looking and is a bit tired
In need of some tlc...absentee ownership appears to be a problem. Good house if you are there for a party weekend but to bring family and stay it was a bit lacking
.. we had some issues, some of which were addressed but some were not.. never had electricity in downstairs bathroom which was a bummer...porch/outside furniture tired and rusty.. beach chairs extremely tired and rusty.. nice outdoor shower.. we will
Look elsewhere for next year.. hope owners put some time and energy into the home for what they are charging...it could be really great!

I went down with a group of girlfriends for a long weekend. The house was so cute and a short 10-15 minute walk to down town. We did have to buy a few supplies for the house such as toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, hand soap and garbage bags. I would be prepared to either buy supplies there or bring them with you if you can. Otherwise everything was perfect

overall great spot in a great location!
southern sass was a wonderful place for our family to gather. plenty of room for sleeping and nice to have an extra 1/2 bath on main level. kitchen was tight on space but well equipped. not much cabinet space available for food storage, but manageable using island counter...sitting spaces were adequate, although we weren't all home at the same time much!!..dining table easily accommodated 8. we wished there was seating on the front porch..a few rockers would be perfect...no seats at all there. and only thing we felt was missing were dish towels/hand towels and a broom. we had a few small issues during our stay that were immediately remedied. very prompt property management. the outdoor shower was terrific! the location in terms of walking to jetties and childrens beach, and to town, was ideal...only one parking spot in front of house but other spots available down the street at early point in season..not sure how that would be later on as things get busier..but we enjoyed our stay here!

Perfect Nantucket vacation Rental!
The house was better in person then online! The house was beautifully decorated, very comfortable beds, a fully loaded kitchen, gas grill, two wonderful decks, a patio, widows walk with ocean views, etc! Since this house abuts a conservation area, the nights and mornings are very peaceful. You can walk to Town, beaches and your favorite restaurants within minutes. We will be back for sure!

Wonderful Home!
We recently stayed at this home with another family. The property was beautifully updated and had everything that we needed for our stay. It is centrally located close to Jetties and walkable to Town and Children's Beach. The private street was wonderful for the kids to ride their bikes. The back deck was perfect for eating outside. We had a few small things that needed fixing and the owner sent the property manager over by the next day. He was very responsive and easy to deal with. I'd definitely rent the property again.

Super Friendly and Helpful - A pleasure!
When looking for a house during Christmas stroll weekend we contacted many listings on HomeAway. The owner the most responsive out of any inquiry we sent out and quick to answer all of our questions. Before arrival she sent us a list of recommendations and reminding us to make dinner reservations before arrival on the island. I highly recommend booking this house for your Nantucket vacation and working with the owner!

Perfect ACK Getaway
We stayed at Southern Sass for a long weekend in September (22-26). The home was perfect for us. We had 7 adults, although it would easily accommodate 10. We loved the location...just a quick walk to town, Jetties Beach and The Galley. We rented bikes and never needed a car. The outdoor shower was amazing, and the large open living room, family room space with the kitchen island was just what we needed for our gathering! The owner is very attentive and mailed us a tip sheet with details on the house as well as local ideas for food etc. The kitchen was well equipped, although we ate out at night. We loved it and we will be back!

Family Reunion Week
Great house in a perfect location in Brandt Point! Walk or bike to town where you'll find great shopping, restaurants (our favorite for dinner, Galley, Juice Bar (is worth the wait) and of course, Provisions, for awesome sandwiches). Owner decorated the house beautifully and our family loved the new outdoor shower. Rode our bikes to a different beach every day. Nantucket is magical and our family will be back! We would highly recommend this house and hope to stay here again.

Wonderful House and Amazing Location
My family and I (two adults, two small kids) stayed in this great house with another family (also two adults and two small kids). We chose the location because of the proximity to the beach and to town, as we did not bring a car on the island. We absolutely loved the house and the location. The kitchen and BBQ were great for making meals at home, and the house was close to great restaurants when we wanted to go out. Jetties Beach is only a 10 minute walk, and downtown is also about a 10 minute walk (or less). We will definitely be back!

Great House!!
A group of 6 of us rented this house for a long weekend early in the season. It is in a great location walking distance to the beach and town. The owner has done a great job with the house and it is very comfortable for a group of this size. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for luxury and location.

5 star stay!
This was an all-around great rental for the second week of July! We had a total of 7 people and had more than enough room to come and go, relax in the living room, eat nice meals at the large table, and sleep comfortably. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and everything we needed for cooking/serving meals.
The house has been renovated quite a bit and the updates are very well done and up to date (according to my wife!) We were really glad to have the use of A/C throughout the house because it was very hot the week we were there and it helped us stay cool and sleep easier.
The location was the primary reason we wanted this house, and we weren't disappointed at all. The kids were able to ride bikes into town and Jetties Beach safely within 5min. And, it's at most a 15min walk to the Straight Warf in the absolute center of town for dinner and a stroll back at night, stopping on the way back at the Juice Bar for the best homemade ice cream in the world! We rented bikes from Cook's Cafe for the week and basically grabbed lunch wraps from Cook's and rode every day to a different beach. The house is in a great spot to hit the bike paths at either Cliff Rd (Dionis and Madaket), Chester St. (Surfside), or Lily St. (Nobadeer) and avoid the cobblestone streets and traffic of town.
This was a great experience for our family and the friends we brought. I highly recommend it and look forward to going back!

Wonderful House - great location, private setting
We had a great stay. The house was nicely tucked away on a private lane. Walking distance to the beach and town provided great flexibility for everyone. The house was nicely renovated and offered comfortable living space for our family. The outdoor areas were very well cared for and enjoyable throughout the day and evening. Very responsive owner as well!!!

We strongly advise you find another property
We have rented several homes over the years and this was our first negative experience. The owner charged double the standard cleaning fee with the only cleaning-related explanation given that we changed the sheets midweek; presumably, this required additional laundering. Then, his check for the remaining returned deposit bounced. Ordinarily I would not take the time out to leave a poor review, but I feel obligated to share our experience in case it might prevent others from enduring a similar experience.

Great House
We had a group of 10 that stayed here for Memorial Day Weekend and it was perfect. The house is in great shape and is such a close walk to downtown and/or the beach. There really is no need to even bring a car as you won't even use it!
Also, the house comes with a great deck and backyard so were able to enjoy some of the nice weather for a little backyard cookout. I'd recommend this house highly to anyone looking to stay in Nantucket!

Perfect!
My group of 10 booked this lovely house for a friend's wedding. Although we were initially concerned about 5 girls with only 2.5 bathrooms, it worked out well. There was plenty of space for everyone, whether it was group meals, getting ready for the wedding, or just hanging out at the house. We especially loved the "widow's watch" rooftop deck that has incredible views of town and the water. The pictures don't do the place justice, it's very well maintained and beautifully furnished and decorated. It is also a very short walk (10-15 minutes) to town to the stop 'n shop (grocery store), restaurants, and shopping. Many of my friends who stayed elsewhere commented that we had the best house, and I agree!

Just What We Needed
Our party of 10 was looking for a place to stay during our friends' wedding weekend. With 5 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths, this house was exactly what we needed. Beautiful, updated kitchen, a deck with a grill, and lots of space...even with 10 people, it never felt crowded. The landlord was detailed and organized, providing house instructions a week prior to our stay, and even offering to e-mail restaurant recommendations while we were there. Great location, cost-effective and just what we needed. Highly recommended!
