Nuestra encantadora cabaña de 2 dormitorios con su porche tiene una calidez que es brillante, cómoda y acogedora. Los pisos de madera y baldosas ofrecen una sensación limpia y abierta. Las habitaciones también con pisos de madera son luminosas y confortables. Uno de los dormitorios tiene un asiento junto a la ventana con vistas al río, es una gran sala para disfrutar de la luz natural y leer o simplemente sentarse y relajarse.

This was the cutest little cottage! Just right for my wife and I and our two dogs. The inside was very charming and it was stocked with everything we needed. We especially loved the location as it was close to everything and convenient for our family we visited close by. We liked that it had a small fenced yard out back for the dogs and there was also a fenced dog park nearby. The hosts were very accommodating and answered any questions we had. We would definitely stay here on our next trip to the area. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

Nice neighborhood but busy location right near a stop sign locals fly through. Driveway extremely tough only access on main road owner requests park close to house to give him access to his house next door and has some areas blocked with garbage cans which makes more than one car visiting impossible.I had to confirm to the owner we needed the second bed made up even though I clearly booked for 2 adults 2 kids so needed all 3 beds. The four poster in the master creaks every time you move and the guest room second bed is more of a temporary cot than a bed, bedrooms very tight.
Downstairs is better with enough space for 4
Electricity went off when family was getting ready for my wedding and owner came over to reset / restart it which was good
I booked it for family as it was my wedding that weekend and noticed a mark on the counter and a tray of water in the oven on arrival that we thought was very strange , my family forgot to take a picture as requested and busy with my wedding I forgot to mention to the owner. We were charged for damages we did not do and I am not happy with the owners insistence he checked the property before we arrived as he clearly did not.
I have never had less than a great review left or received and am disappointed .

Living room was a little tight for 4 adults, but we definitely made it work. We were in town for mom's 80th birthday, and this home was within 2 miles. We would absolutely stay here again.

The location was a perfect home base for all of the sights we planned on visiting. Joel was a wonderful host and responsive to all our needs. Our only regret was the weather kept us from enjoying the front porch which would have been a great place for morning coffee. The property is very charming.

I am still missing the wrap around porch. The home is so close to so many little towns.. for antiquing and and good food! So close to the coast -- and the tour of Thimble Islands! Wow! Our host gave us a tip for the MOST glorious beach! Such a memorable time. I We plan to book again ! Soon!

Cute little house
We really enjoyed our stay in this cute little house. It had everything we needed and even more and it is located in a convenient location. Everything was spotless and the owner was really attentive, polite and provided us with all the information that we might need during our stay. We will stay there again if we visit this area in the future.

Darling older home! Owner was wonderful to deal with. He was quite attentive.
Place has bedrooms on 2nd floor and restroom on first. Something to consider for those of us over a certain age!

Connecticut getaway
My friend and I stayed at this house to celebrate our birthdays. It is in the cutest neighborhood and has great owners. The location was amazing we did day trips to Boston and New York City from here. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an amazing place to get away in Connecticut in the New England area

Great stay!
This home away from home was just what my family needed who were visiting for a short stay. The neighborhood itself was beautiful and very close to the ocean. We enjoyed walking our dogs around the area, and found it be be very scenic and very beautiful. The home is modest and comfortable. We enjoyed watching movies together in the evening with the fireplace space heater on. If my family returns again we’d love to stay here!

This cottage was really cute in a nice neighborhood across from a beach and a park. Cozy and lovely inside. We had a great Christmas stay. I didn’t want to leave!

Great little getaway
We had a great time at Short Beach, the house was very cute. We could walk to two beaches, the kids had a blast. Close drive to Thimble Islands, Stony Creek, and some really nice areas. Busy road which we knew, but it mostly has sidewalks.

Very cozy house! Enjoyed the nearby beach, and sitting out on the porch at night. Joel (Owner) treated us well, and was very helpful.

Excellent place
Wonderful place to stay, easy to get to , central location for lots of different attractions. Owner very tentive and helpful with places to go. We stayed for 9 nights and was so worth it. Definitely will come back if in the area again.

3 nights in Branford
Spent 3 nights here on our way to PA. Joel was great with communication. We loved the porch and spent the evenings out there relaxing. Walked down to the private beach, about 5 minute walk. The beds are very comfy! To note, the stairs are VERY steep to the bedrooms. Joel was sweet enough to set up a bed downstairs for my mother so she didn’t have to climb the stairs.

Cozy cottage near private beach
My husband and I rented this house for almost 3 weeks. Our check in process was seamless, even in the midst of COVID-19 we felt safe and that they had taken extra measures to clean the house. The cozy house is just a 3 minute walk to a private beach perfect for paddle boarding. We loved spending our evenings on the front porch (although wished it was on a less busy street) where we worked "from home", grilled and took most all of our meals. The kitchen was fully stocked and they even greeted us with a bottle of wine and fresh flowers. Overall it was a marvelous stay for us!

October in Short Beach
Everything about our stay was above and beyond our expectations. The house was immaculate, nicely decorated, a beautiful front porch which was great for sitting and visiting with old friends. Mr Frank was incredibly accommodating my mobility issues as well as responding to two very minor issues within the house. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a lovely stay in a very picturesque beach community.

Charming little house
We booked this cottage/small house as an alternative to the much more expensive New Haven hotel options in mid-October. It worked out great! fifteen minutes from downtown New Haven, full kitchen, nice porch, cozy living room/sitting area. Nice!

Great place to stay Joel and Joanne were wonderful hosts with having the place ready and available throughout our stay. Within walking distance to Johnson Beach. Easy get to Stoney Creek Brewery, kayak rental and restaurants.

Lovely place
This is the cutest place. We loved sitting on the porch and relaxing. The host went above and beyond when we locked the keys in the car on the way to my sons wedding. The home was comfortable and warm. We will come back

Cozy vacay home for a great price
Joel and family made a cozy home for guests and were very welcoming. The house has a well stocked kitchen, and plenty of linens, blankets, pillows, and necessities like spices, toiletries, and even detergent for the laundry. The porch area is cozy and we enjoyed a lot of time sitting on it. The AC in one of the bedrooms was a little weak and the futon mattress needs updating. Otherwise, this house is a steal and Branford is a nice town w great ice cream at Ashley’s and a nice Italian restaurant within walking distance (Gennaro’s). Enjoy!! Also check out the trolley walking trail, Thimble Islands boat tour, Stony point brewery complete with food trucks, and Hammonassett State Park Beach. It’s worth $15 for parking and the 30 minute drive.

This property was a quaint cottage with all the amenities necessary for our family to have welcoming and enjoyable trip to Branford, Connecticut. It was very nice to have a place central to all of the other cities and towns that make up the shoreline of Connecticut.
