The hotel was centrally situated in the village.
The room was up two flights of a very steep and narrow staircase. Packed breakfast disappointing.

Lovely staff very friendly and helpful.. Location was perfect.
Our room was very small. Tv very small. Kettle could hardly fit under sink tap. A stool was beside the bed instead of a beside table on one side of the bed. No socket available by the bed. Only one bath and hand towel supplied.

A lovely welcome and lovely friendly people. A great place to stay on the Trans Pennine Trail with secure cycle storage, a tasty, hearty cooked breakfast too.
Just one observation to note, The Wellington don't serve food on Monday and a lot of other places follow suit!

it’s location
the room was appalling…no wardrobe, wonky floors that made walking around feel awful. breakfast was served to us by a little miss know it all, overdone sausages and rock hard eggs…no yolk at all

Clean room modern decor nice big shower hot quirky floor in keeping with very old coaching house warm room but un like other places you could open the window for fresh air nice view of the minster from bedroom facing the main street not noisy stairs up to the room very steep as you would expect in a very old building if you don't want to character then go stay at a travel lodge

Good guitarist on in the bar in the evening added bonus
breakfast nice and hot howden is full of history
Minster and the ruins little streets very nice
And we had a great meal at the Italian
Would definitely stay again

Cheap, Breakfast was included and same day booking. On siite parking.. Freindly staff. Location.
Shower room was not ensuite or comfortable, nowhere to put anything or hang towels. Steep stairs and small room with single bed. Last food order was 6pm on a Saturday night
