Esta casa de campo de cuatro estaciones, recientemente renovada, se encuentra en la región de Haliburton Highlands, aproximadamente a 2. 5 horas de Toronto. La casa está bellamente terminada y amueblada con áreas de estar principales de concepto abierto. El salón tiene una chimenea eléctrica, TV de pantalla plana, antena parabólica, sofá reclinable y sillón de dos plazas y un par de sillas para grandes multitudes. La cocina está equipada con nevera, estufa, lavavajillas, microondas, tostadora, cafetera, licuadora, dispensador de agua, vajilla, etc.
Hay cuatro dormitorios y dos baños en esta casa. El piso principal tiene el dormitorio principal con cama king size y el segundo dormitorio del piso principal tiene una cama queen size. Hay un baño de cuatro piezas (bañera / ducha / inodoro / lavabo) en este nivel.
En el nivel inferior hay dos dormitorios, uno con cama de matrimonio y una cama doble y el otro dormitorio con 2 camas de matrimonio. Hay un baño de dos piezas (inodoro / lavabo) en este nivel. Además, en este nivel hay una sala de estar con un futón extra.
Ubicación
Para aquellos de ustedes que están en los lagos más pequeños, el Lago Cardiff es un lago íntimo en las Tierras Altas de Haliburton: el lago es alimentado por manantiales y sin salida al mar. Esta casa de campo está convenientemente situada en una carretera rural a la salida de la autopista 648 a las afueras de Wilberforce, donde hay una tienda de alimentos de buen tamaño (Foodland), un restaurante, una estación de servicio, bancos, LCBO y una tienda de conveniencia para todas sus necesidades de cottaging.
Bancroft está a unos 20 kilómetros de distancia y Haliburton a unos 30 kilómetros de nuestra casa de campo.

Hay una gran terraza con una barbacoa de propano y muebles de patio.
La costa es una entrada gradual al agua que tiene un fondo arenoso y hay aguas profundas que nadan desde el muelle que se instaló en 2013. El muelle es lo suficientemente grande para sentarse y mantenemos un columpio con dosel en la costa en el verano. Además, para su uso hay un trampolín de agua, un bote de remos, una canoa y hay juguetes en el exterior para que los más pequeños disfruten.
Si le gusta pescar, nuestro lago cuenta con truchas lubinas y arcoiris y hay muchos lagos en la zona con buena pesca.

We went for a family weekend to celebrate a birthday and the trip was incredible. The property was above and beyond what the listing showed. The view was incredible, the cottage was beautiful inside. It was modernly decorated and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The waters edge was sandy and a gradual entry that was perfect for the little ones we brought to play in and the kids play center was a priceless bonus - eyeshot from the firepit so the kids and the parents could enjoy. Definitely will be returning!

We had a much needed, relaxing break at Paul and Theresa's. When we drove up it was exactly like the picture. Calm waters, beautiful setting so peaceful. The cottage itself, stunning, your home away from home for a week ! Everything ypu could want they had. Very clean, very welcoming.

Our family had a lovely stay at the Watson's cottage. The deck was spacious enough for our whole family and the gazebo provided plenty of shade. The beach area was sandy with some small rocks, and the water was clear of seaweed for quite a distance. The kids enjoyed the playset and kayaks as well. The cottage is closer to the highway so you will hear traffic from time to time. The inside of the cottage is kept clean and the couch and dining seating is very comfortable.
Some suggestions include:
Somewhere to hang your clothes in the basement and hangers for the upstairs bedrooms.
The garbage and recycling is located in the lower corner cabinet. It makes it tough to use it when others are in the kitchen.
There were only a few wine glasses provided. Additional glasses would be nice for a a larger group.
Two cutting boards are provided, a few more would be helpful for meal prepping.
The shower head could be updated so that it sprays towards you versus straight down.
We loved our stay and plan on returning. Thanks for a great getaway.

This is a great cottage with lots of rooms and very clean. The kitchen is very well equipped. The floating dock and kayaks were fun for all. The only call out is that the BBQ needs some TLC but other than that Paul and Theresa are readily available and friendly making this is a great cottage.

Perfect cottage to rent for a snowmobile trip. Ideally located right on the trail 605, 2 minutes from gas/convenience store and a restaurant.

I and my friends rented Paul and Theresa's cottage. I'ts a beautiful house, so very comfy and spotlessly clean. Therasa and Paul are the perfect hosts, they are very understanding. Excellent place for relaxation, breathtaking view. So peaceful and calm. Thank you very much for making our weekend memorable.

It was a very nice stay in a nice clean place on a small lake. Very nice inside and out. Unfortunately it wasn't the best weather or we could have made better use of the outdoors as well. Would definitely recommend this place.

Really enjoyed our stay! The outdoor space was the highlight, from the large deck, nice fire pit with muskoka chairs, flat lawn creating a gentle entrance to the waterfront, the nice dock with muskoka chairs, as well as the lovely little lake that we enjoyed kayaking around. The recliner sofa in the living room was also really comfortable and meant there was space for all four of us to kick back and relax.
The one heads-up I would give to future guests is that this region has a fire restriction from the beginning of April through the end of October whereby you can only use the firepit from 7pm through 7am. We like to enjoy fires in the afternoon and early evening, so this was disappointing and not something we knew until after we booked.

Perfect spot, right by the water and dog friendly! The other cottages were surprisingly close by, but the place still managed to be private and enjoyable! Clean and great spot!

We really enjoyed our time, the location is close to many services. The lake is small but quiet an nice to explore in the kayaks available. There are other cottages close by but the noise level was respectful.
The road on the other side of the lake can be a little loud at times but you kind of forget after some time.
We had several loons fishing regularly in front of the cottage, fished from the dock and on the lake with success.
Cottage was as described. No soaps of any kind and no water in the dispenser so make sure to bring those with you. Store is 5 minutes away if you need to get these.
Communication was prompt and helpful
Overall a great week!

We were looking for a quiet and relaxing weekend and that’s exactly what we got. The property was very nice and clean. As the weather was still cold, we couldn’t swim in the lake but the hot tub made up for it. Paul and Theresa were great and super quick to respond to any inquiries we had. We will definitely come back!!!

Really enjoyed the cottage. The cottage was well equipped with everything except personal stuff. And bed sheets are considered personal which I dont mind. Location was great. Cottage backs to a lake, has a hot tub, and there was a fire pit. Can comfortably accommodate 10 people.
Communication with the owner was also smooth. We had to ask for one more hour before we could check out and they easily extended it.
I'd like to come back during summer to experience the cottage in summer time.

Overall our stay at the cottage was fun. The owner of the property was very easy to communicate. My friend who came with me at the cottage forgot his wallet at the cottage, the cleaners were super honest they informed the owner and we received a call from Theresa abput it so we could arrange to pick up the wallet.
Only recommendation for the owner is to provide their guests with bedsheets, blanket, towels and toilet papers so that they can travel light. Most of the cottages provide these basic items.
Overall I would say its a nice place to stay

Our family of 5 with 3 young kids (7, 4, 6 months) rented this cottage as an end of fall/pre-Christmas getaway and ATV outing. When we arrived I was surprised to see that the cottage wasn't quite as secluded as I had thought based on the pictures (2 cottages share one driveway and close neighbours next door with same situation). That being said we were the only ones up there so we had the area to ourselves. The views across the lake are beautiful, untouched nature. The ATV trails were right off the road the cottage is on so very convenient for going out for short rides and back to eat and warm up. The kids loved being in the hot tub with the snow and hunting for geocaches. The place is impeccably clean and the Christmas tree was set up which was a lovely surprise. There was even a highchair and a very well equipped kitchen (not just cheap Ikea stuff, and had a slow cooker). The lake was so beautiful and clear with what looked like a pretty sandy entry, I can imagine it is an amazing place to swim in the summer. The beds were comfortable as well. The grocery store/LCBO is conveniently close as well in case you forget anything or just want to wait to do your shopping up there. Communication with the hosts was always very prompt and they were eager to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The only thing I wished there was a drying rack of some sort for the bathing suits and towels for the hot tub.
All in all it was an amazing getaway and we wouldn't hesitate to book again.
