Steps to the beach, a quick drive for shopping and restaurants - great location.

Had a great stay here! Clean plus the kitchen was well stocked for all our cooking. Loved that we were so close to the beach and the shower downstairs was very convenient.
A few minor notes: if you have small kids who only take baths, you will want to take an inflatable pool to bathe your kids since there are only 2 showers. Also, for large groups like ours, fyi there is only one bathroom upstairs (all bedrooms are upstairs) and the other bathroom is downstairs. Also, like many people have commented, there are lots of (mostly dead) horseshoe crabs on the beach (at least when we went) and it wasn’t an issue for us, but best to google if you’re unsure…

great view from porch, enjoyed walking on the bay beach watching the birds in the morning. Went to Cape Henlopen for part of the day to walk by the ocean and then into Rehobeth. Nice to come back to the home and bay views in the afternoon.

The house was very clean and nicely appointed. Bathrooms were interesting. Upstairs was very small but also very cute. Downstairs didn't afford any privacy given the 3 stalls. We probably won't do this area again given the huge number of horse crabs!

It was amazing, we loved the house and all the amenities. Being right on the beach was great. We also loved having all the birds in the yard.

The house is in a perfect location for a beach vacation. It’s comfortable and has all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay. Mike and Laura are great hosts and very responsive. I would definitely recommend staying here!

We had a wonderful weekend, walking the beach, listening to the waves lap the shore, and watching the birds and porpoises play in the water. The house was very clean and well-stocked. The beds and furniture were comfortable. And the view was amazing!

Wonderful Stay! Private location- Peaceful, wonderful view. Very relaxing. My daughter loved the beach right out front of home and found some awesome shells! Pups had a blast. Will definitely be back soon.

The house was perfect for us. Two old men getting together to reminisce. The room facing the ocean was perfect for sitting and enjoying the views while telling stories. Everything we needed in the kitchen was available and having everything on one floor was great. We are already talking about a return visit next Spring.

The views here are just amazing. The beach is quiet and almost all to ourselves. This is a wildlife sanctuary and the beach clearly belongs to the horseshoe crabs - not people. The house was immaculate, the kitchen well provisioned, and the basement stocked with beachy stuff (chairs, games, etc).

The sunroom is just perfect - loved the trolley seat for eating and enjoyed our morning coffee on the couch watching the sunrise over the water. The kitchen had everything we needed for basic meals and loved that you could still see the water from there. The main floor bathroom was a bit small and challenging for managing a toddler so we ended up using the basement to shower. Would come again!

My family and I and the dogs have stayed here for 3 years now. It's still a lovely home, with some nice upgrades, and it is very easy to contact the landlord. However, the prices keep going up, the ceiling leaks when there is a bad rain, and the house wasn't as immaculate as in years past.

Property is precisely as advertised. It was very clean and the host gets extra kudos for thinking of literally everything to include with the house including sheets, towels, some toiletries, Saran, aluminum foil, spices, books, games. The front room overlooking the dune is quiet and serene. The rake for the beach seaweed (a lot) was most welcome and we used it each day. We very much appreciate the grill!

The view from the house is simply perfect. Coffee and sunrises every morning, and the dolphins gave us a show on our last morning!!
The downstairs bathroom is super convenient from the beach especially with children, and the shower down there made coming in extra easy as well.
House was very well equipped for cooking for the family and the was a full spread of plastic plates, bowls, and cups for the kiddos.
Highly recommended!! We already booked a repeat visit!!

We had an amazing week at Prime Hook. The wall of windows in this home gives an clear view of the water from every spot in the house. It was very relaxing and restorative. The beach is private. Lots of wildlife. We had so much fun here! Cooked fabulous meals - the kitchen is well stocked. The home was very clean. Mike and Laura were very responsive and accommodating. We hope to return someday soon!!

Great stay at a great location that is right on the beach and not too far from Lewes. Clean and spacious hose for the square feet. Easy communication with the owner. You will see other comments that might give a con of the flies on the beach but us knowing the area we came prepared with bug spray. Don’t let these comment make you miss out on this gem.

This was a great property! Just a few steps to the beach, which was very private and quiet. Kids spent many hours playing in the sand and the waves! Hosts were extremely responsive and answered all questions in a timely manner. House was clean and well stocked. Highlight of our trip was multiple dolphin sightings from the house!

We all had a wonderful time. I grew up vacationing in this area and it holds so many memories for me growing up with my friends. Many new memories are now being made with my children and grandchildren.
This beach house was perfect. It had a wonderful view & was clean and comfortable. It had everything we could ever need. I loved sitting and having coffee in the morning while watching the sunrise over the bay. we had fun picking crabs at the table while enjoying the view. A short 15 to 20 minute drive takes you to restaurants shopping and a boardwalk. We loved it, and will want to come back again. Also being able to bring our dogs was wonderful!

We had an amazing time! The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The views were beautiful with the beach a few steps out the back door. Our family had a wonderful vacation, including our pups! The location was very private and relaxing, just what we needed. Wouldn't hesitate to rent this home again!

We stayed here for a week as a group of 6 with a dog, everything was great. We cooked, we relaxed, we played board games, we watched TV and extensively used the beach.
My biggest complaint: only one cutting board... :)

This was the second time staying at this house right on the beach. Owners are easy to communicate with, the house is well stocked with everything one could need, beds are comfortable, and showers are perfect. (Love the new sink! )
We hope to return for abothervacation here!

4 night stay at the beach at Primehook Beach on the Delaware Bay. Cool & windy weather initially, but beautiful sunset 3/25 & beautiful sunny day on 3/26/2023. The views from the sunroom & proximity to the beach were perfect. The home had every thing you could think of… it was just like being at home complete with games, cards, even arts & crafts. Cable TV & being able to stream channels, & have Wi-Fi were also great. The basement was finished & even though we were a couple & a dog, there is plenty of places to sit.
My only suggestion would be mattress topper for more comfortable sleeping & more comfortable furniture in the living room, but overall GREAT stay & great, accurate communication from the owners

We loved the cottage right on the bay. Beautiful views of birds ships and porpoises. Sunrise was amazing! Very convenient to Lewes, cape henlopen Park, restaurants. Cottage was well equipped with everything you could need. We had a wonderful satay! Thank you

We loved our stay in this spacious home on a quiet beach. Nestled between the bay and a nature preserve, the home provides plenty of windows for a beautiful view of the water with morning sunrises. While our stay included a pretty fierce cold wind, the house was superbly sealed and plenty warm. We look forward to returning soon.

We spent a perfectly idyllic Christmas getaway at this beautiful home on a quiet stretch of Prime Hook Beach. The house itself is very well appointed and fully equipped—and the location couldn’t be better. We enjoyed our stay so much we’d like to return when the weather is warmer!

Not sure if the beach in November appeals to you, but we love it and this house was perfect for us. Clean & quaint with the beach in your backyard and nature trails just a short drive away. We loved eating and playing games at the ferry booth in the sunroom, and our dog couldn't get enough of the smells and sounds of the ocean.
