Overlooks Donner Lake
Disfrute de las vistas del hermoso lago Donner y Schallenberger Ridge en la Cordillera Central de Sierra Nevada desde la amplia terraza o las ventanas frontales de nuestra acogedora cabaña. Nuestra cabaña se encuentra en medio del campo nevado. Northstar, Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Donner Ski Ranch, Sugar Bowl, Royal Gorge y Tahoe Donner se encuentran a 15-20 minutos de nuestra puerta. Pesca en el hielo colina arriba en el lago Prosser. Donner State Park, que está a solo una milla y media de nosotros al final del lago, tiene senderos para raquetas de nieve y esquí de fondo.
Como nuestra cabaña tiene acceso directo al lago; en verano, pesque o nade en el muelle frente a nosotros, disfrute de los muchos deportes acuáticos posibles en el lago, o tome un paseo de 20 minutos hacia North Tahoe para disfrutar del 'gran lago' en la montaña. Nuestra cabina mide aproximadamente 1400 pies cuadrados con espacio para dos autos para estacionar justo al lado de la puerta trasera. La entrada principal a la cabina es desde atrás. Al entrar, tiene la cocina a su derecha y una puerta hacia el dormitorio y el baño del nivel principal a su izquierda. Esta habitación tiene una cama queen y el baño tiene una combinación de bañera / ducha. Más allá de la barra de comidas está la sala de estar con una mesa de comedor de 8 pies a un lado y un sofá y un sofá de dos plazas frente a la chimenea en el otro. En la planta baja hay dos dormitorios y un baño pequeño. Un dormitorio tiene dos gemelos y el otro dormitorio tiene una cama queen. Desde el pasillo de abajo, puedes ir a otro pasillo que tiene lavadora y secadora, una sala de madera que alberga la leña para la chimenea y una puerta al exterior para bajar a la carretera y al lago. El loft está abierto al nivel principal y tiene 4 camas individuales. Tres de estas camas están muy cerca una de la otra (lo mejor para los niños). Hay otra plataforma de estacionamiento a nivel del lago para un automóvil.

We all enjoyed the home as we gathered for a class reunion. The house was clean and exactly as advertised. Perfect for our trip back to Donner.

Great place! You do not need to bring anything, there are plenty of tools for cooking, towels, games. Cozy house, amazing view!

The place was exactly as described and very comfortable. The view was excellent with easy access to swimming and a few local parks. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay in Truckee.

The house is amazing. Fully stocked with all our needs. The views were beautiful. Host is amazing. Access to Donner Lake could have not been easier. The deck for hanging out with family so nice.

The house was a perfect getaway.

We rented this place, because there were no steps to enter the cabin, and one bedroom, bathroom and the kitchen and the couch, and the view were all on the same floor. The outside balcony was big and beautiful, nice huge umbrella to sit under. Loved looking at the stellar jays, and even saw some bats before we went in for the night. I will definitely rent this place again. My mother absolutely loved it and so did we.

We were in the area for a family wedding at Olympic Valley and this was the best side trip to Truckee! Hosts responded quickly to questions, especially as we had a record setting snow on May 4 after 60-70 degree days May 2-3.
Great views. Great, cozy home with lots to do. Explore the area, or just sit on the deck and soak in the sun and views. Would definitely stay again!

Loved our stay! The cabin is clean and very well maintained! Very relaxing to watch the snow fall over the lake while sitting by the warm fire. The cabin is stocked with all you need, just bring friends, family, and food!

First of all, the view of the lake at the cabin is exquisite! The owners responded promptly to questions prior to arrival. They were very nice and accommodating. Clear and easy check in and check out instructions were provided. The cabin was spotless upon arrival. The location is very convenient to ski resorts and snow parks. We had the perfect weekend staying at this cabin!

This cabin is quintessential Tahoe. We would definitely go again. Dining/kitchen/living room are open plan so great for family to hang out while cooks still part of the conversation. Beautiful view of the lake. Kitchen had every dish and utensil we could possibly need, and pantry provided plenty of storage space for our groceries. It feels cozy and loved.

This was the perfect place for our family trip. The cabin was clean and provided all that we needed and more. There were so many personal touches that made it extra cozy and the location was perfect. We'll definitely be booking this place again next time we're in the area.

The cabin was a great place to have family before christmas. The Cabin was decorate beautifully and felt very warm and welcome. The place was just perflic for our Tree year old grandson. Donner lake and Truckee are alway a fine place to visit

This was a great stay. The location was perfect overlooking the lake and close to trails. The hosts were kind and responsive. The property and cookware were very very clean and it had all the amenities needed for a nice stay. We'll be looking to return!

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was quiet, comfortable and well equipped. Most appreciated, particularly for the Donner Pass Road area, are the two roomy parking spaces that are on grade with the main floor. We also enjoyed the small library of books, pictures, and scrapbooks about Donner and the region. And of course the killer views. We would definitely stay again.

We loved our two day stay at this place. We cooked dinner both nights, plenty of kitchen space and supplies. The owner Norma, left informative notes in places and created an historical, thorough binder that we enjoyed going through, she was very thoughtful in that way. The upstairs does get warm and downstairs cool, that makes it great for sleeping. The place is huge with many beds and we thought it would be a great place for extended family to gather and stay. We definitely will be back!

Every step of booking, check in, during and check out were communicated well. This is a family cabin. It is well taken care of and loved by the owners, and I’m pretty sure guests, too. You feel at home the minute you walk through the door. The view of Donner Lake is stunning! We were here two nights and three days. It was hard to leave. Next time, we are booking for a week!

Property was well laid out with an awesome view of the lake. We particularly liked that you could enjoy everything you needed on the main floor without having to traverse a single stair. This made it possible for my 88-year-old mother to join us. She really enjoyed it. The house is so well appointed and obviously loved. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

The cabin is perfect for multi aged family! Plenty of room, everything you’d need (and more) in the kitchen. Well kept up, clean, easy in every way, strong WiFi, plenty of tv channels. Our family will stay here again!

Our second stay here and once again we were very pleased. The cabin has great views of Donner Lake and it is a quick walk across the road to the Lake. The cabin is very comfortable, great wifi, good tv and for the most part well stocked. They provide an ample supply of wood for the fireplace which came in quite handy. Lots to do in the area, but perfect for just hanging out as well. We will return.

This is a fabulous place to stay if one wants to sit back and enjoy their visit. The view of the lake through the large windows was breathtaking - especially with snow on the mountians! And Truckee is one of those old time small cities with many friendly person to work with you while shopping or eating. We could not have asked for more!!!

Cute cottage. Has everything you need. We used a bedroom for a closet due to small rooms and closets. But everything was perfect for just my husband and I.

We were able to secure the rental early last month for the days we needed. The process was seem less and the accommodations were cozy and checked off all the boxes. We had two families stay and there was enough room for everyone comfortably without feeling on top of each other. We were close enough to get a few necessities but far enough to not feel like we were in too much of a crowd. The view is incredible and perfect sipping spots for morning coffee. Our preteens love the loft and the feeling of being independent and our 17 year old had enough space to himself to veg out as necessary. We loved the mountain bikes, but make sure to bring your own water toys as they’re not available. We were there the warmest weekend of the spring season, so still a TON of snow, but also we could have paddle boarded. Easy walks, close to the summit, breathtaking views. I recommend setting the alarm and catching the sunrise. You can drive 7 min. Up to the summit and catch the view over the lake. We loved it wants will be back!

Our family enjoyed our time at this cabin. Lovely view of the lake and plenty of room for our family of 5. It's location is perfect for picking up gear at Tahoe Dave's and hitting Sugar Bowl. We grabbed our groceries for the week at Safeway which is also very close by. The home was warm, clean and cozy. There was so much snow that the kids were able to make a decent lane for sledding on the side of the house, but think this might be limited if not for the amount of snow this year. If not careful, you could end up in the street below. The wifi worked fine, even thru the storm. We look forward to future stays here.
