The unit we had was very nice, except that we did not have a TV that worked in the main living area. We went two nights without television. We had a small TV put in for the third night. Finally, on the fourth day of our five-night stay we had a new TV installed. This should have been corrected the first day.

The family met in Savannah to honor my Mother-in-Law’s 100th Birthday. Part of the out of state group stayed in/near historic Savannah and part stayed on Tybee Island at Beachside. This is our second stay at Beachside. We celebrated, with a smaller group her 99th birthday with a home cooked dinner at Beachside. This year the condo was a place to stay and for other family members to visit to access the beach and use the pool amenities. Overall, the experience was positive. Our particular unit had issues with the smaller bedroom being “hotter” than the other parts of the condo. I think it is an air circulation issue. The main television in the condo decided to be finicky and required property management staff help. At the end of the day we learned how to keep it going. Overall, being at Beachside offers the opportunity for a relaxing, beach vacation...even if you have a constant flow of family in and out. The staff at the facility is outstanding and attached restaurant is also tasty. My younger grandchildren really liked the chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream.

My elderly mother and I rented this unit for a mother-daughter getaway. It's in a great location right on the ocean. Overall, the unit is clean, though it could use some updates. The appliances and furniture are showing wear, but serviceable. It should be noted that this unit does not offer a folder/binder with useful information like a map of the island, the location of the grocery store, local restaurants, shops, or other attractions, so be sure to stop at the tourist office on your way into town. The woman working there is super sweet!
On our first night we experienced a catastrophic plumbing failure at roughly 9:20pm from the unit above; water was pouring from the ceiling and light fixture over the master tub. There was no emergency number listed on our check-in information, so I called the after hours "lock out" number. Workers came out the next morning to fix the issue, though we were left with a gaping hole in the ceiling (covered by a thin film) for the duration of our stay. Positives: Location! It's right on the beach. Negatives: The management company seemed disorganized. On the morning after the plumbing issue, two employees had me on speaker phone to find out the scope of the problem so they could schedule workers. They didn't realize repairs were already being made. To those workers - thank you for your kindness. To the management company - a simple "I'm sorry for your inconvenience" would have been an appropriate response at any point during our stay.

We stayed right after Christmas until New Year's Day. The condo was comfortable to stay in. Our experience with the office while booking and also doing an after hours check in was fantastic. There is a great view of the New Year's Eve fireworks from the beach right outside of the condo.

Tybee Island was a really nice place to spend an early fall vacation. The beach was really nice and not crowded. The condo was nice but needed some end of the season care. We were treated to an afternoon air show that was spectacular. An F-22 fighter jet put on quite a display a the paratroopers were pretty awesome too. We ate at the Deck Bar a couple of times and food was really good. We went in to Savanah for a few dinners.

We brought my mom who is 98 for a beach trip. We had a wonderful time with her. Everyone is so friendly here. It needs a few more handicapped spaces though. There were 3 of us taking turns with the one spot where we stayed

In addition the the amazing ocean view, the condo was in wonderful condition. It was very clean and had everything we could have needed to stay for the full week. The office at Beachside Colony could not have been more helpful during our stay. We absolutely plan to return and take advantage of the heated pool this winter!

We had a great stay with our grandsons. Beach was fun. There was a thunderstorm one night and the next morning they found a bunch of conch shells and lots of unusual shells not typically found. Lunch at The Deck one day was a great. The only negative was the pool got a little too cold for them after about 20 minutes. Didn’t feel heated if it was. The condo was big enough, clean, and comfy. The view from the balconies was spectacular, with nice seating. We had a trip we’ll always remember with it smiles!!

We had a great vacation! We visit Tybee every year and will not stay anywhere else but Beachside Colony. The room was clean and comfortable. The only ''complaint'' is that the pool felt like a hot tub, but given the temperature there probably wasn't a whole lot they could do about that. We go for the ocean, not the pool, so it did not take away from our vacation.

The management company was very friendly and informative. They called to check in when we weren’t there before they were about to close and gave us all the details for a late check in. The view from the room was amazing but the condo itself was not up to our cleanliness standards. You could tell shortcuts were taken, everything’s needs a fresh coat of paint, the couch was stained, the sink is stained, the floors were not cleaned very well at all. While I have nothing major to complain about I feel that the price we paid for what we stayed in was much to high.

Absolutely perfect in every sense. You can't beat the location - right in the middle of lovely Tybee, and also right on the beach. We watched dolphins playing in the ocean from our balcony. The unit is not super new, but very clean and really well stocked. This particular condo had more plates and cups than I have in my house! Walk in shower in the secondary bathroom is a huge plus. Loved the little touches like the nightlight in the master bathroom. Special thank you goes to the office staff. They are all absolutely amazing. We didn't have any issues / problems, but did have a couple of questions that came up during our stay. We were treated like family (in a good way!) and all our questions were addressed right there and then. This was my 5th stay at the Beachside Colony. Second with the current management. To say that I loved it wouldn't begin to describe how I feel. Looking forward to coming back. And it should be even better next year, when new pools are installed.

We have stayed here several times. Love the view overall a nice spot plenty of amenities in the kitchen for in house dining. However over the years are starting to show there could be some up keep in maintenance. Biggest issue the sliding glass door to the balcony is very difficult to open takes all you got to open and shut. Master bathroom toilet paper holder is broken. But other than these couple issues we always enjoy our stay and would more than likely come back to this condo if available.
