Gorgeous 1840 Log Cabin- Downtown
Muy único, bellamente renovado, histórico, 1840, en el centro de Frederick Log Cabin House. Realmente hay algo como esto en Frederick. La casa está muy cerca de todo el centro. Está a unos diez minutos a pie del Canal. La temporada navideña es la época del año favorita de mi esposa en el centro de Frederick. Las calles están todas iluminadas y se ven hermosas.

We - five related senior citizens - rented the "Log Cabin" for five days and utterly enjoyed our stay. The property is lovingly renovated and well equipped, it is clean and offers ample space for privacy and coming together. The full kitchen is a great plus, but the house is located very close to a variety of restaurants, so meal options abound. Downtown Frederick is charming, fun, and very walkable. Hood College is also within walking distance. Fort Detrick is within an easy car ride, as are a number of historic sites. Danny-the-Host was very responsive by text and even by phone. We had to call him once at an odd time of day, when a thunderstorm tripped a circuit breaker, and he answered immediately. If I were to leave one suggestion it would be to make location of the circuit breaker panel more apparent, to save the trouble for future guests (and himself) in a similar situations in the future :)

We couldn’t have asked for a better base camp for three lacrosse dads who traveled across the country to watch their daughters play!

My company, Mettle Events, Inc. are the timers for the Frederick Running Festival, and we like to stay in rentals vs. hotels. The Cabin was perfect! Clean, off-street parking, walkable location to restaurants & breweries, five minutes to our job site (the fairgrounds) and I loved that everything was labeled! the house rules were clear and easy to understand, and the price was right! We will definitely be returning to The Cabin!

Enjoyed our stay so much that I’m now planning a girlfriend trip at this lovely retreat in such a charming town! I cannot recommend it enough. Beautifully restored with all the comfort for a relaxing getaway. Appreciated the easy parking and city accessibility and our good communication with our host. Not only was the property perfect but an easy walk to explore all of historic Frederick … even for us older guests!!

My mom and sisters were looking for a close location to Northern Virginia for a quick winter get away. This cabin met all our expectations. It is walkable to downtown Frederick for shopping and great restaurants. We also took a drive to a few small towns such as Middletown, MD, as well as, Antietam National Battlefield. If you like history, this area is a wonderful area to visit and this rental is a perfect has your base location.
This house has all the amenities to make your stay comfortable. We had a few questions during our stay and Danny was very responsive.

This VRBO is wonderful. Charming log cabin renovated into a modern cozy welcoming home. The beds/linens were very comfortable, kitchen totally stocked, and decor trendy comfortable and functional. Great location - walked everywhere. Host was accessible and easy to communicate with but we really didn't need anything. Start to finish fabulous property/VRBO - look forward to renting again. A gem !

Visited MD for a family wedding weekend and this property and location had everything we needed for three generations that stayed together!! Walkable to local restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Uber ride from nearby locations was affordable. Bathrooms were big enough for getting ready. And the kitchen had all that we needed to make meals together! Great response from the host on a couple of quick questions!

This charmingly refurbished log cabin exceeded our expectations—quiet neighborhood within walking distance to Frederick’s many attractions, shops, galleries and restaurants. Beautifully restored walls in the living room showcased the architecture of the original 1860 log cabin. A restful hideaway in a great town.

1840s log cabin that has been wonderfully modernized ~ new kitchen, baths, comfy beds, etc. Close proximity to Market Street restaurants. Owner was awesome ~ check-in easy and prompt. We had an excellent stay and would recommend this property.

The house is ideal for an incredible weekend adventure in Historic Downtown Frederick, Maryland. The place is newly renovated, clean and very well kept with all the amenities at your fingertips. The property owner was very pleasant and answered our questions promptly. During our stay in April, we explored the local haunts including coffee shops, breweries, eclectic stores, art galleries and a variety of restaurants that exceeded our expectations. We felt safe walking home at night and took advantage of the nearby spa, Baker Park, Everyday Square & Shab Row and Carroll Creek Park. Scenic hiking is 20 minutes away at Catoctin Mountain Park with picturesque Catoctin Breeze Vineyard nearby. Highly recommend!

The cabin was a perfect place for 5 longtime friends to meet for an annual get together! Easy parking, comfy beds, and plenty of coffee. We walked into town for dining, shopping and drinks, but also enjoyed hanging out at the house.

Great cabin with everything you could need. Hosts are very responsive and have put a lot of care into this property. This is the second stay for us and it was, again, a great experience. The best brewery and coffee shop in town are within a block and everything else in Frederick is within walking distance.

We loved our 2 night stay here. The master mattress was so comfortable, and that is coming from two picky adults who typically dislike mattresses when we are traveling. We woke feeling well rested. The master shower had great water pressure (another thing we value when traveling!). It's quite amazing to know it is a 1800s property and imagine the care and detail that went into restoring it to the modern and comfortable place it is today. We would definitely stay again

This is a beautiful and well maintained property. We appreciated the blend of old and new styling and the kitchen and baths are top notch and well equipped. The location is great for walking to everything in downtown Frederick. As most people who live in a city know, the private driveway is a valuable asset. We would definitely stay there again.

Our family stayed here for our daughter's wedding. We didn't spend a ton of time at the house, but it was a wonderful location to walk to downtown Frederick, both in the morning to stroll along the river walk, and at night to check out the bars. The house is a lovely mix of old and new. And was very well appointed with all that we needed. Would stay there again in a heart beat, but don't want to marry off my daughter again any time soon!

We booked this as a "wedding long weekend" HQ for our family of four adults. Master bedrom with king bed downstairs was super comfortable. Only issue, we ran out of toilet paper, but picked up more when shopping for other items in town.
Neighbor parked their car really close to property and that made it difficult to get in and out, but on day 3 they moved it. Games were fun to play and photo book was neat to look at. A BBQ would be an awesome addition:)! We enjoyed our stay, thank you!

Frederick Family Retreat
We booked the Log Cabin as an alternative to bunking up at a family member's house and the stay worked out fabulously. The house has been carefully curated for guests with hotel-level amenities and labelling. During one of the hottest weeks of summer, the home's ac system worked beautifully. We'd love to return in a future season to enjoy all the charming shops and restaurants in Frederick. We rate it 5-stars!

Another wonderful weekend
This was our second stay at the cabin and it was just as perfect as the last! It’s all the tiny details of the house that make it so special. You can tell the house is well cared for. In addition it’s in a great location, easy to walk down town to restaurants and shops. You can’t go wrong booking here!
