Just amazing! The owner really wants you to enjoy their home. So much detail with the check in process, the home had everything you needed and more! From more than enough towels to stocked kitchen! Fire extinguishers, shampoo in every bathroom, beach toys and a view that is amazing.

The place was fine, a little more worn than it looked in the pictures. There weren’t very many cleaning supplies, some cleaning spray and a swiffer would have been nice. We also weren’t able to find a cutting board. Things were pretty clean, the beach was great.

This property met our needs for a quick weekend getaway. Views of the ocean and beach chairs with easy access were awesome. Thank you!

We had a really fun & relaxing stay here. Worked well for our family of 5. While the place could use some cosmetic touch ups, we were comfortable and happy to be SO close to the beach. Nice/comfortable beds and linens, which of course is really important!

The location is great. It’s a short walk from the beach, with beautiful views from the two balconies. However, when I wiped down the house prior to the stay due to Covid concerns, it was dirtier than I had expected. In all honesty we were afraid to sit on the couch without laying a towel down, and even those were a bit dirty. This house is great for a stay with a large family, as long as you weren’t all on the WiFi and didn’t use more than 2 outlets. The power went out for a whole night and when I contacted the host, there was no reply until the morning—although it was 10PM. The bunk beds should also not be occupied by adults because it is quite unstable and doesn’t seem able to hold much weight. If you do plan on staying here, bring your own spices and maybe even dishes. Yes there are dishes provided, but I wouldn’t trust them without washing them first, as there were visible food particles on them. I would recommend this house if you don’t mind it being a little run down because it does hold a lot of people and the price is fairly lower than surrounding stays. If you are looking for a more relaxing stay, I likely wouldn’t recommend. The host seemed very nice, the house was just not what we had expected based on the description on the site.

House is located right by the beach with 2 parking spaces. My gf and I enjoyed the quiet as there are no parties allowed on this block. Furniture could be a little cleaner (as noted by another reviewer) but otherwise the location is perfect for beach goers.

Amazing place to stay! Right on the beach and very well-kept neighborhood. Great walking paths to beach and park. Gary was very helpful and spot on with communication, even allowing us an early checkout. Our group of 10 fit very comfortably in this house. The only negatives were very minor: a missing coffee carafe and some non-working outlets and bulbs. Otherwise, well worth the price for beach living compared to other places that charge so much more!

It was very close to the beach. The bedrooms were fine. Kitchen and plenty of t.v. areas. Parking and easy commute to areas. We did not find wash cloths, working fire alarms, with the storm there was some rain that came through the ceiling-and quite an ant problem! Nothing that affected our vacation but little surprises.

We had a great get together with family great home and so close to the beach. Can’t brag about it more. Thank you so much for a very memorable time with family can’t wait to get back. Thanks again. George and Linda

Pros: Steps from sand (second house from sand) Two balconies with ocean views 6 beds and a pull-out couch, plus couches to sleep on and enough floor space for two blow-up mattresses Kitchen with pots/pans/dishes/silverware/coffee maker/oven/microwave/dishwasher/large fridge. Check in with key in lock box Some beach gear(umbrella, couple of chairs, surf board, vest) Plenty of blankets and towels and washer/dryer. Some modern updates such as wooden floors, tiled bathrooms (one shower bathroom and one tub-only bathroom), kitchen looks like it was remodeled. Some parking at the house, plenty of street parking along the beach. About 3 Fans available to plug in. Very helpful. Cons: 3-4 outlets work to plug in devices. Bring extension cords. Be careful about plugging in too much and tripping the circuit breaker. All other outlets broken. Some light bulbs need to be replaced. Cleaning crew isn’t doing an adequate job cleaning property. Maybe they only wash and dry sheets and towels and sweep floors/wipe down toilets and faucets? Floors need a scrub, walls could use a wash, and the general overall structure could use some finishing touches like baseboards in some areas. If you are looking to stay at the beach, this is convenient and pretty simple. Other than the cosmetic issues and the lack of working outlets, this place was exactly what we were looking for.

This is a great location just one house from the sand. Nice views from the two balconies. The only complaint is that the furniture is white and quite dirty. I think either a good cleaning or slip covers? Also the refrigerator is not really in the kitchen but more in the living room, it is quite odd. The living area/kitchen is a bit on the small side, but again the location and views are the best part!!

It looked nice from the outside and was a stone’s throw from the beach. Doors locked from the inside and out by a key. If there was a fire you could not exit without a key. There were two sliding glass doors, one each on 2nd and 3rd floors. a fire could block those exits. Only 2 smoke detectors in the house, one on 2nd floor and the other was on the ceiling between 1st and 2nd floors. The second day there was no hot water. We contacted the owner and he was apologetic and sent someone right out. Luckily my friends had no plans for the evening. The maintenance guy came to the condo and tried knocking on the door since the doorbell does not work. He didn’t get an answer, so he just walked into the house. Totally NOT cool! He went upstairs where the tankless water heater was and said it was unplugged. Why was this not checked by the owner before we arrived? It got fixed after taking a cold shower. Floors and cabinets were filthy. Our feet were black after we walked on the floor for any length of time. Curtains were torn and stained. Dirt and sand underneath the beds. Towels were stained. No towel racks, no screens (except one bathroom ) on the windows or doors. Half of the electrical outlets didn’t work, uncovered outlet (exposed) and surge protectors overloaded and strung across the house. Garbage cans out front were smelling (seemed not to be emptied for awhile.) sink cracked, sink handle broken, tile behind bathtub grout not finished and floorboards missing. Living room furniture was stained and filthy. Had not been clean in quite some time. We rewashed the towels but found most of them to be stained towels. Outside shower on the side of the house is broken and leaking. Over the washer is a huge hole leading into the frame of the house where anything, mold, dust, critters, etc. can get in. I kept sporadically smelling a sour stench. It smelled like it was coming from the bed. I decided to lift up the sheet and mattress protector. The end of bed looked like a CSI crime scene. It’s a health hazard. I can’t (and don’t want to) know what bacteria, fungus or viruses live in that mattress. The list goes on and on. We were looking to have a nice relaxing vacation. This condo rental was misrepresented on Home Away. Obviously the pictures were taken from several years ago and this has since become a renovation project that has never been completed. It’s TOTAL DISGRACE!!! Don’t waste your money.

I’ve never done something like using VRBO. It was easy and easy communication with the owner. We were very pleased for doing this the first time. We will definitely do this again!

My family loved the stay, Gary the manager was very helpful. We are definitely staying again.

The basics like towels, paper towels, and toilet paper were well stocked. The pictures accurately showed how close the house is to the beach. For the price and location it is a great deal and a wonderful beach vacation. It’s not the newest or finest house on the block, but it was an affordable fun beach vacation. I will definitely consider staying again.

The property was everything it was described to be it was only a few steps from the beach there were plenty of towels and bedding also beach stuff for the beach we had 6 adults and 4 children we were all very happy with the accommodations

Our group of 10 fit very comfortably in this house. The upgrades and decorations are very tastefully done and help you feel like you’re home. The property manager was very accommodating, even allowing us an early check-in. The home was very clean. The pot for the coffee maker was missing and there were only 4 mugs in the home, but I brought it to the property manager’s attention and he responded quickly. Overall, a beautiful, clean home in a great location with plenty of space at a very reasonable price.

Where do I even begin... The owner was unbelievably accommodating! Excellent communication, compromises and all around fabulous!!! The house was perfect for us!! We live in Redondo Beach and were eloping in Santa Barbara... our blended family equals 5 kids (24-10)... plus the mom’s! Gary was amazing!! We needed to check in early (none of us wanted to drive for 3 hours all wedding’d up!!) and despite there being someone there the night before, he arranged for the cleaning crew to step up and finish quickly!! Did not compromise the cleaning either! It was spic-n-span! Plenty of space to comfortably sleep, lots of extra linen and towels, beautiful home!!! The location location location.... my only regret was not staying another night!! Thank you so much Gary for making this the most incredible weekend!! Would most definitely stay there again!!

Everything has pros and cons. Really nice location. Well stocked with bedding, towels and kitchen utensils. Comfy bed. Great TVs. Easy parking. Repairs are needed: Exterior stairs have rusted metal flashing exposed and will cut someone. Wall base is missing in ground floor and first floor restroom. Laundry area has ceiling hole. First floor restroom floor seems to be water damaged and deflects with 100lbs of force. Freezer didn't freeze well. Also, I called the owner to ask something and he never replied.

It was good overall. We didnot get any bath accessories including soap/ shampoo/conditioner etc. it was very strange . Never happened during previous stays.

Great Place to stay! Right on the beach, nice neighborhood, and cozy space. Gary was very helpful, and spot on with communication. With some of the reviews i was a little Leary on what to expect. The people across street were very nice, there was no one right next door to bother us. The 3 story pad was a bit taxing for being pregnant, going up and down stairs, but other then that super cozy! 2 bedrooms are on the 3rd floor with a tub bathroom, and the living area and kitchen on the second floor with 1 bathroom with a shower. The bottom level has the tv w/ 2 couches and a small bed w/ trundle for sleeping with the washer and dryer. It was kinda weird to not have a tv on 3nd story where we hung out 95% of the time, but that was cool cause it made the 6 girls who stayed in house conversate more lol Lugging food, etc to 2nd story was a bit tough. Outside stairs are convenient but very steep. House was clean, and lots of TP and towels!!. There were even a couple maintenance guys there fixing a drain when i arrived, but they were very nice and even offered to help bring up things if i needed. Some dishes in cabinets were a bit dirty, so we just reran them in dishwasher and used the dishwasher often. The Coffee pot, toaster, and oven worked great! Bathrooms super clean, and spotless which was most important. The chairs on balcony were super cozy too. We only used the beach umbrella from the beach supplies, but that worked out great too. Overall we would definitely stay here next time when in the area. For what you get you're paying like $300 less a night then other places, so we were super stoked on that! Great Value, Great location, Nice and Cozy, just have your stair legs ready! LOL

Really enjoyed our stay here. House was plenty big enough for all of us and had a great location steps away from the beach. Would defiantly stay here again.

Owner was courteous and got back to us when my son got locked in the bathroom due to faulty door knob. The place was a bit in need of repairs but the price was reasonable and the location was very relaxing and views were very nice! The owner was on the ball with making sure my son was safe and yes, he did call a locksmith to repair handle prior to our departure. Overall just needs minor repairs and some work but was very nice vacation for our family❤️

The location was great, steps away from the beach. The pictures to the house are a bit deceiving. The furniture inside is pretty old and a bit beat up. The restrooms were nice but bring your own TP! We had a great time but if you are looking for luxury this is definitely not the place.

The location was perfect and the house was a great size - we all fit comfortably and slept really well. Check-in/out was very easy. There seemed to be some renovating happening or recently happened because some parts of the house felt unfinished. Also, the toilet in the bathroom on the main floor didn't work (we had a plumber in our group who knew it was a sealing issue) so we knew it would be a hard fix and just decided to use the upstairs bathroom for the weekend. But I didn't hear back after notifying of the issue. There also wasn't hand soap in the upstairs bathroom or the kitchen so we had to buy some. And there was laundry in the dryer when we checked in. As I said, great location, mostly comfortable stay and fine for what we needed but not a totally seamless experience.

Location was amazing. It was like having our own private beach. The property itself is in need of work. It was not very clean upon arrival and throughout the stay it would have been nice to sweep up the sand we had tracked in but there was no broom. The sleeping arrangements were not ideal and it was listed as sleeping 9 when in reality 2 of those spots were couches. The trash had not been taken out in a very long time it seemed as the trash cans were overflowing and the flies and stench seeped into the main floor when the windows and door were open. Pretty disappointed in our stay with the price we paid wasn't worth it.

The town house its self is just 2 houses from the beach. There are basketball courts, swings and a slide in the sand for the kids. The house itself has 3 stories of stairs( no hand rails), so I was fearful of people falling down them. The kitchen , living room and bathroom are on the 2nd floor. The house looks to have been remodeled a while ago. There are some nice touches( balcony, large shower, large tub). There is not a DVD player as stated, only streaming, no cable TV. The master bedroom bed was comfortable, but bunk bed and trundle mattresses were hard, my sister slept on the couch. My 5' 10" son didn't fit in the bunkbed( head and feet hit the ends of the bed). Overall the location was great.

This property was great, the location is perfect and the beach was lovely and peaceful. Having the small beach park right there was fun for the kids and it was only a short walk to the large pirate ship playground at the park. We liked having the TV room downstairs to chill in for the evening. My only complaint was that it would have been good to have something to sweep up the sand during our stay which is inevitable with small kids coming in and out. I couldn't find a broom or dustpan anywhere. Also it was missing some basic supplies like toilet paper and dishwashing liquid.
