Came here with some friends. Had some issues with the house, door was left open by maintenance, not much toilet paper or any paper towels/kitchen towels provided, no water provided, rock pathway was not very stable and had loose rocks.
House does have some nice views and located near some fun locations to explore.

Our vacation in Maine has come to an end. It was a great stay at Peaceful Day Dreamer. We did have a couple of issues that were taken care of by Vacasa in a timely manner. We will definitely be back next year to enjoy reading on the porch, listening to the loons at night and of course eating all the lobster that we could. This rental is a great place to unwind and enjoy some family time with our loved ones.

Cabin was just as it was described. Everything we needed. Stairs down to the water could use some maintenance. The dock and water were fantastic. My kids loves going out to the island. Overall great property. Would definitely come back.

This place reminds me of a cabin I went to every summer as a kid with my parents. Rustic, but still with the comforts of home. There’s WiFi if needed, but we came to unplug and enjoy the nature. The bed was very soft. We really enjoyed our morning coffee on the porch and then in the evening, watching the sunset and enjoying the sounds of the loons. Feels very removed from life, yet close enough to get to points of interest relatively quickly.

This is the perfect Maine camp! Clean, comfortable and cute.

The location / setting was beautiful, peaceful and quiet but the cabin could use some tender loving care!
The beds and futon were uncomfortable.

Great place to veg out. I would only add that people should look the listing over carefully, as this place is very basic--It's one of the things that we liked about it, but not everybody will. Also, stairs to the shore are very steep and the boat, while useable is very marginal. Not important to us, but might be to others.

I really enjoyed our week at the camp. Lots of lobsters and just sitting on the porch and reading. A great place to relax and enjoy the views and listen to the loons.

Weekend Getaway
We had a lovely stay at this true Maine "CAMP" perched over Biscay Pond. Nothing fancy, but that is what we were looking for. We loved the cozy fireplace as it rained all weekend and sitting on the screened porch reading, enjoying the fall colors and the loons calling. Well equipped except for wine glasses which we always bring anyway!!..Nicely situated close to the Boothbay Area and several excellent lobster wharfs...do not expect luxury...this is "camp" , not an HGTV makeover thank goodness! without the rain, a great pond for kayaking, rowing, swimming.

August stay in Maine
I really loved the porch and all the seafood we had to eat. Even though we were here when the tropical storm hit we still had a great time. Looking forward to next year.

Great, tranquil location, in a real Maine Camp; sunsets, swimming, and the sound of loons in the morning.

remotely relaxing!!
true Maine camp cabin, not fancy but solid and comfortable, and WOW what a location! Swim off the dock, sunsets, the cry of the loons, and peaceful, no neighbors! Easy short drive to Damariscotta if you want some hustle and bustle.

We just finished a week long stay at Peaceful Day Dreamer in Bremen Maine. The host provided EVERYTHING you could want from sheets and towels to dishes, silverware, cooking utensils and on and on. We found the place to be very clean and the setting to be very quiet. The kids loved swimming off the dock and the fishing was great. Having the kitcken on a different level we found to be perfect for those of us who are early risers. The porch offers great sunset views and is a great spot to relax

Super Funky Bug Palace
The shower required a phillips-head screwdriver to operate. The insect population both inside and outside of this cottage was out of control (spiders and carpenter ants). While the kitchen was clean, the rest of the cottage could use a good spring cleaning. Otherwise, our stay was enjoyable. The layout is unique to say the least. The screened in porch was a delight, except for the aroma of rodent urine on the chair cushions (hence the need for a good spring cleaning). The sunset view and the breeze off the pond were delightful.

Maine Camp
We had a very pleasant stay here at the Biscay Pond camp. The listing is accurate, as are the reviews. The camp does need some maintenance but the way we figured it, given the location, the pricing and the way camps in Maine just are (you go for the outdoor experience, not the guest amenities) it was fine by us. The screened porch overlooking the lake was a perfect space. A house booklet, with what to do with the garbage for example, would be useful.

Lovely location; house needs work
Classic rustic Maine camp on a lovely pond with tiny island to explore, outside charming villages and close to the beautiful Maine coast. House is neglected and in serious disrepair. Stove shorted out, water cooler flooded, roof leaked, shower faucet (hot) needs to be replaced and fireplace fills house with smoke unless there’s a roaring fire. Pantry, wood room and kitchen cupboards need to be cleared out of clutter. Cleat missing a screw and new line needed for anchor and boat. Mildew in bathroom, wood room and storage closet. Despite the property’s challenges, we loved the location, the view from the kitchen and screened porch and had a wonderful time kayaking (the house has a rowboat, we brought our kayaks) swimming, fishing, sunning and exploring the nearby towns.

Unexpected
Loved the porch and the Biscay Pond view & swimming ! !
But there is no way we would have rented the camp if we knew about the stairs situation! We hated having to walk up those stairs at night to use the bathroom/ kitchen. The outdoor 'steps' down to the pond were kind of scary too- a couple are tippy.
We had some problems also while there, but didn't want to call some out of state number .And they should have already known about the problems from the cleaners/ caretakers---
The futon was broken! When we sat down the left side slid back & away from wall (where it had been propped to stay up).It is missing something that braces it to stay in the upright sofa position.
Both trash cans were FULL when we went to take out our bag of trash 4 days into our stay.Someone did come later in the week. But trash should be empty for new renters ! And there should be a note telling when trash day is and what if any recycling is necessary.
Outside doors were obviously new-the cardboard was piled up beside the shed. The door that opens out to 'back 'of cottage & clothesline cannot be opened from inside the cottage. It ONLY OPENS FROM OUTSIDE! Looks like it's stuck in the casing..

Great vacation!!!
Very peaceful and I love the porch for just sitting and relaxing.

Very rustic cabin
Once we bailed the rain water out of it, the row boat was fun to take out onto Biscay Pond to “loon island” which we named for “Larry the loon” who lived out there. “Larry” serenaded us with very loud loon calls almost every night. All night.
Charming?
We enjoyed playing board games at the table on the screened-in porch each evening while batting at the mosquitos which must have been able to get in there somehow!
This cabin is very rustic!
And that’s OK if you are wanting the “Rustic Maine cabin” experience.
The walls are not insulated. I mean, the walls are exposed 2x4 studs painted with polyurethane and you can see the exposed plywood sheathing upon which the exterior vinyl siding ( that looks just like cedar shakes!) is nailed to. I mean, exposed wiring and plumbing, and all. Rustic. But charming? Maybe?
There is no dishwasher in the kitchen even though one is mentioned in the description, so it seemed one of us had to do dishes as a vacation daily chore. Which would have been OK if we had been provided enough dish soap!
We ran out of the bottled water for drinking, so had to request that more be delivered. (The tap water did not taste good enough to drink)
The description does not tell you how tiny/cramped the bedrooms are or the fact that the kitchen & bathroom are on one level, and the living area and bedrooms and screened-in porch are on a completely separate level connected by a long, winding stairwell area. Two of us took a tumble down the stairs! That could have ruined our vacation if we had suffered a sprained ankle!
The bathroom was the most appalling, though! It is small. It is cramped. It is VERY rustic! The tiny fiberglass shower stall was rusty and cramped. Surprised to find that someone would think it OK to rent as a vacation home with that bathroom for “up to six guests”!
But... we enjoyed our time together making breakfast each morning together and taking a leisurely start to the day.
We spent most days exploring the nearby harbor towns of Damariscotta and Wiscassett. The shops are quaint, the coffee shops are charming, the bars & restaurants are unique with delicious fare.
We made souvenir necklaces at the local bead shop one day.
We took the ferry over to Monhegan Island one day and spent time exploring as artists - hiking & drawing & stopping for a beer at Monhegan Brewing Co.
We drove up to Acadia National Park one day and rented bikes. We pedaled the Carriage Roads of the Park to the Jordan Pond House where we ate a delicious lunch complete with their famous popovers.
We stopped to grab a lobster dinner at one of the many seafood shacks in the nearby harbor towns/villages on our way back to the cabin a couple of evenings.
We stopped at both the local farmers market and the local fish/seafood market (Delano’s) and gathered food for home-cooked dinners in the fully equipped kitchen back at the cabin on the other evenings.
Overall, we made the best of things, and enjoyed a fun Maine adventure!
