The condo was clean and just the right size. I love the slower pace of the Island and the room you have on the beach and in the pool. No crowds to fight. The beaches are beautiful and we say lots of dolphins, crabs and other sea life. This was my 3rd trip to the Island and I look forward to returning. The Inn is a great place to stay and this condo is also awesome.

This is THE best place for Minnesotans to take a springtime relief break from winter. The staff are kind, friendly, welcoming, and a treat to see every year. I would not stay anywhere else on the Gulf Coast.

We wanted to go to a destination where there wasn’t much to do, not tempting the kids with water parks and big putt putt places, just the beach and pool. This place for the bill. The condo complex is fine. Nothing fancy, just as described. I contacted the owner as soon as we arrived as the room was not cleaned - everything was covered in dust, dishes were dirty, there were old spills/urine around the toilet, etc. Once we showered in the master tub, the water drained extremely slow so I had to shower in standing water. Never got a response from the owner so I reached out to VRBO who got me in contact with the complex manager and they fixed the tub right away!!! They were very friendly as was the maintenance person. Overall I’d recommend this resort and this room but hopefully it gets cleaned. Check in was super easy & enjoyed having keyless entry. We really liked that it was small & several ppl we met actually live there & were very nice. Most people rent golf carts to ride around but they were sold out for our dates. We rented beach chairs from Chaise n Rays & I highly recommend them. NO hassle as they deliver and pickup directly to the beach & out your name on them & you can order online. Pirates pizza was delicious & so was island rainbow ice cream! The gas station & nearby dollar general were very sketchy at night so I’d recommend going before dark.

Excellent weather made the balcony our main living area. A high table with two high chairs would make dining on the balcony perfect.

We wanted something close to lift for the kids and this unit fits the bill. Management was easy to contact and responded with questions promptly.

This was by far the prettiest unit in the whole Inn out of all the listings I viewed and felt much more updated. The decor is so lovely and comfortable, and everything felt clean (other than the top rack of the dishwasher struggles). And you can’t beat that ocean view. We stayed in the fall, so I don’t know what it would be like in peak times, but it was very quiet and peaceful. The beach access is amazing. The pools are beautiful, although it wasn’t warm enough outside for us to try them out. Loved being up on that floor and was grateful for the elevator and rolling carts to get luggage up and down. Had everything we needed in the kitchen except food, and it’s so much nicer staying in a place like this rather than a hotel where you can’t fix much of your own stuff or truly relax. The TV was a bit difficult to figure out, but we only used it a bit. We slept comfortably every night and felt safe and clean, with access to whatever we needed there or nearby. Greer’s Market about 20 min away was quaint and ideal for the few things we needed. Didn’t try out any local restaurants this trip, but maybe next time. This was also our first Dauphin Island experience, and it’s really a great location. We loved the bird sanctuary and Indian Shell Mounds Park, although we couldn’t find where to access the actual mounds. Otherwise, we hung out on the beach and relaxed inside, which was perfect. We just loved this unit and very much plan to return next year. It feels like someone cares about this place…that might sound silly having never met the owners, but we felt it. Very happy we chose to stay there and wish we’d booked one extra day.

We decided to stay at The Inn in a condo rather than a beach house. Our condo was lovely - on the 4th floor - with beautiful views and simple and tasteful decor. We were very pleased! Our main activities were enjoying the view from the balcony, taking long walks on the beach and watching the World Series. It was a wonderful week! We discovered Dinner’s Ready - the small “gourmet to go” shop that was the perfect compliment to cooking fresh fish and shrimp. We also went out to dinner twice on the island that satisfied our desire for the big “seafood platter.” We recommend staying at The Inn on Dauphin Island in the fall if you are looking for a quiet “old-school” beach vibe getaway! The residents and friendly, the scenery and beach is beautiful and there’s plenty of things to do on the island!

The stay was amazing. Everything was absolutely perfect for our anniversary getaway. The condo had everything we needed. The few items like toilet paper we got at the grocery store right off the island.

My wife and I sat every morning watching the sun rise over the ocean from our secluded balcony. Kids loved the 2 pools and the white sand beach. The island has plenty of places to eat if you don’t feel like cooking and a bunch of shops to browse. We took our family of five to visit relatives up by Mobile and this was less expensive then getting 2 cheap hotel rooms so you can’t beat the value. It will save you a ton more money if you utilize the kitchen instead of dining out. This is the best value you can find on the island. I will be staying here next year when we visit again.

The walk to the beach was easy and we used a local company for beach chairs and umbrella rental that made it easy. The condo was larger and more roomy than we expected and we were comfortable there. Condo was exactly what we needed. Simple. Only quibble - the mattress in the sofa bed, well, uh, it might need to be replaced. But the unit was as advertised. We had a problem with Palmetto bugs in the unit. When I told maintenance they said it had just been sprayed a week ago. (Obviously it didn’t work if bugs are still there). I had to push a bit but he finally agreed to come spray again, but it was obvious he didn’t want to. We’ve been coming to The Inn for 17 years and it seems like some things are being overlooked or ignored as the property ages. The renal costs are increasing but the attention to detail is not. We love Dauphin Island, but I’m not sure if the Inn is where we’ll be staying in the future.

The only complaint or issue we had were big water bugs in the unit. We killed one and saw another is laundry room ceiling we could not reach. Other than that unit was clean, great location, and a lot of helpful info inside.

The Inn was very clean and the check in/out process was very easy. The grounds were immaculate. Our room had everything we needed. We even met one of the locals who told us all the places to go while we were here. Looking forward to coming back in July!

The condo we stayed in was wonderful. It faced the ocean and had comfortable seating on the balcony (something we really looked at when comparing properties!) The condo was very clean and well stocked with dishes, pans, linens and handy small items. We would recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit the island.

Beautiful view, a lot of stupid rules before checking out like cleaning it and stripping beds and starting a load of laundry. 1 roll of toilet paper provided per bathroom. I did not get any access info prior to check in so I had to call the office. The lengthly check out rules and acess info then was emailed only hours before check in. We complained about the Giant cockroach found crawling across our floor to the manager he was not apologetic whatsoever and would not discount our stay. The beds and pillows are not great, only 1 extra blanket for 4 beds in the closet with lows in the 30's when we stayed.
