Lovely area. House decor was perfect. The wildlife increased our enjoyment and safety was evident. We had a bit of a problem upon arrival, probably our fault. We never found the door code on our email so that caused a minor problem. The owner explained she was tied up with clients so that explained not being able to reach her when we arrived. Otherwise a wonderful experience.

Amazing hosts in an amazing neighborhood!!! Very quiet, a lot of deer and other woodland creatures to watch. Cottage was very clean, well stocked. We would absolutely come back here, wouldn’t look elsewhere in Kerrville!! This was perfect👍

We were in town for some unfortunate circumstances and Carol and Joe could not have been better hosts. We throughly enjoyed our stay with them and hope to see them again in the future. The property was beautiful.

This Adorable two bedroom cottage with amazing decor in a quiet neighborhood close to everything was a perfect place to tuck away and get some work done.

The cottage was attractive, clean, well-appointed, comfortable. We were looking for a brief respite from the current heat wave as experienced in the city. This was perfect - good AC, beautiful pool, and a shady and beautiful place to sit outside in the mornings. The neighborhood was also very pleasant for a morning walk. We could not have been happier.

Beautiful property; online photos give only a hint. Bright, cheerful, up-to-date, comfortable, squeaky clean, charming, above average furnishings and decor. Hosts were welcoming, quick to respond to questions, gave local activity suggestions suited to our group. Ideal location: woodsy, cozy, quiet neighborhood, yet only blocks from various restaurants and shopping. We want to return!

Carol's property is beautiful, and the pictures don't do it justice! The backyard was the perfect size for our small-medium dog. The interior of the cottage was super cozy, well appointed, and comfortable. We really enjoyed the pool as well! Highly recommend booking here and we hope to return in the future.

We chose to explore the Hill Country this year for our Summer Adventure and could not have asked for a better place to stay. There was a pool, easy accessibility for parking and entering through the front. The back does have steps (I am disabled & stairs are almost impossible for me). The bedrooms are roomy with storage for our clothing. We stayed 2 weeks. This was a central area where we could take day trips to Sonora to San Antonio and Fredericksburg is only 40 minutes away. The kitchen had all the cooking & baking items necessary. There was a Kuerig & a pot coffee maker (we utilized both). The grocery store was close by as were many parks. The piece de la resistance was having deer in the front lawn first thing in the morning & around 8-9 at night. We were sitting outside and they came in and ate a bit...never bothered us. We loved seeing them! Carol & Joe are amazing people, who are attentive, caring and genuine. We enjoyed our stay immensely!

I liked the layout of the house, the wood floors and the lovely bath. The kitchen was very nice, and I loved the way the window was over the sink. The back yard was great, and even though we didn't bring out little doggos with us this time, the stock fencing down to the ground would be enough to keep them out of trouble. The chicken coop was pretty cool, and the design for their water was well thought out. We were a bit confused about the use of the pool initially, but once we figured it out we had a great time! And Joe was very helpful, answering our questions. Did I mention that the grounds were immaculate? :)

I have stayed at Carols Cottage several times. It’s always easy to check in, always clean and Carol is a wonderful host. The welcome note & bottle of wine are a nice touch and I will keep coming back.

We absolutely loved this cottage. It had and Itallian, European feel. Feom the antique furniture, to the stonework on the houses. Vegetables, Fruits and beautiful flowers in the back yards. The owners did an amazing job. The owners were extremely nice. I would definitely love to stay again.

Carroll's Cottage was as nice/nicer than described. Location was quite and peaceful yet close to things to do and see. We were hesitant to rent in a residential neighborhood, however, starting from the large shaded front patio throughout the home made it truly a comfortable/peaceful cottage. The backyard was fenced and had plenty of room for our two small dogs. Surprisingly whether sitting inside on the comfortable couch or patio everyday we saw families of deer in this quiet cozy neighborhood. Host was very pleasant and concerned that we had everything needed. Very clean and well stocked. We most highly recommend.

We were so delighted to stay at Carol's cottage. Adorable 2 bedroom that's loaded with nice little touches, antique furniture, clocks (that were not wound --for guests convenience) but so cute. Complimentary items such as coffee and bottle of wine. Cottage located in secure and beautiful neighborhood that 2 over the age of 65 gals enjoyed. Grounds even included little pen with a duck and little chicks. Carol even welcomed our kitties. We kept one crated while out on our adventure but both were chilled. Just delightful! Cottage is 25 min drive to Fredericksburg and the Hill country of Texas. We hope to be back next year !! Thank you for a sharing your cottage with us Carol.

Parking wasn’t great and tv was only streaming so my husband had a hard time with that. The house was very nice and there were deer in the yards at times. We would stay there again. Much better than a hotel

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Carol’s cottage is warm & welcoming, nicely appointed and very comfortable. We didn’t have time to use the pool this time, but it looked inviting. Also a perfect place to stay with a pet, complete with a fenced back yard (we didn’t bring our dog and wished that we had). We also really enjoyed the neighborhood and found it perfect for walks. The welcome gift of a bottle of Texas Hill Country wine was a nice touch. Thank you, Carol. We will definitely return!

We loved the cottage and the location. We have visited Kerrville several times and stayed in hotels. This made our visit 100% better for us and our dog. Felt like we were truly at our home away from home.

This small cottage home on the hillside has a very therapeutic touch. Very nice and clean , everything you need is provided, my husband grilled outside, we got in the pool., very beautiful yard with deer wandering in the neighborhood, it was a sight to see. Home is much nicer than photos show. We met the owner, very nice. We will definitely stay again. Thanks Joe and Carol , you have a beautiful home💕🤗

It was such a comfy cozy beautiful home. The back yard & pool was lovely. The location to everything was great. Carol, made us feel right at home. I see why my son & daughter n law spoke so highly of this nice get away! I can’t wait to go back.

Great property with a nice neighborhood for walking

If you are looking for a great place to stay, this is it. My wife and I booked it for a weekend and were extremely impressed. Great place in a quiet neighborhood and it was close to everything. Any trip we make to Kerrville in the future, this is where we will be.

This is a quaint little cottage in an eclectic neighborhood. Host and hostess provide all you need and more. Nice area to walk everyday. Beautiful and clean pool. Lots of privacy. We enjoyed watching the birds visit the feeders and the deer nibble in the yards. I highly recommend this VRBO. Pictures in website do not do the property Justice. Is very clean, comfortable, & cozy.

My wife and I stayed at Carol’s Cottage for 3 days and loved our time there. We have stayed at @ 15 rentals in the Kerrville area over the last 5 years and this was one of my favorites. The house is in a great, quiet neighborhood and had plenty of room for us and our dog. The fenced backyard is a perfect place to sit in the morning and enjoy a cup of coffee. We entertained our Daughter and her family on Sunday with pool time and grilling out. Plenty of room for all I will not hesitate to return to Carols’ Cottage and strongly encourage you to give it a try

First of all the photos really don’t do this home justice. The cottage is so cute and cozy. The beds are so comfortable - only complaint which is not really a complaint - the beds are kind of high which I love but if you’re those who prefers theirs legs not to dangle off the side of the bed when sitting on the edge this might be an issue lol The house from rooms to kitchen to bathroom to pool and everything in between have everything you will need for a short or extended stay. We stayed for 4 days and all we needed was food and water. My son and I enjoyed every moment we spent inside and at the pool. Carol and her husband were so nice and helpful. They gave us a few tips and some good information. While we were there it was too hot out that even the chickens only laid 2 lonely eggs. But we enjoyed watching and hearing them - ps you can barely hear them in the mornings while still waking up. The neighborhood was so cute to stroll through and the neighbors make you feel welcome and I enjoyed talking to them. The deer all throughout the neighborhood was also a wonderful part of the experience. We will be back again!

It was a nice neighborhood, the house was great they had everything that you might need. The backyard was beautiful, fenced in and a nice pool. It was great for the dog. The complimentary bottle of wine was very nice too. Would definitely stay there again!
