The property is beautiful and in a gated community. Easy check in, great communication with the owner. Pool was loved by our children, good size for younger kids. Lovely patio area. Local supermarket on the doorstep was very handy. We rented a car, which we would recommend, although close to main beaches it would be way too hot and long to walk there. A couple of feedback points would be that we wanted to use the oven but all the text for the controls was rubbed off. We didn’t know what knob controlled what function. Also the dryer vent inside the machine would catch on any items that had straps, one of my daughter’s dresses was ruined as the strap caught on the edge, another item of clothing I will be able to salvage with sewing. But apart from that it was a wonderful place to stay!

Let me say that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Merlot Villas 47F. The villas was beautiful, the pool was inviting, and the neighborhood was quiet and lavished with beautiful greenery. We were in Aruba for 5 days and found it easy to get to places to shop and dine. I would suggest you rent a car for more convenience. John was quite helpful and in questions I had were responded to immediately. We are most appreciative to be accompanied with early/late check. Thanks for everything! Looking forward to a return trip!.

Everything was seamless and perfect from the time we arrived until we departed. This was the perfect house for our vacation, and the staff was amazing. We will be back! Thank you for everything!

There were 5 of us at the house & we enjoyed our stay immensely. The house is well appointed & is easy to get to various destinations, once you get used to the idea that there aren't many street names marked! Beaches are pristine & the ability to go on adventures is unlimited. We tended to hang in the Marriott & Ritz. The latter's attendents are willing to work with some of the public & allow you to use their chairs, just need a $20 bill and you have an afternoon at your fingertips. The main road outside the gates to the left is I think #2 & will take you straight to the lighthouse. Left out the gate & left on the next street. We used the SuperFoods Store as our main grocer. They have anything that you'd want, in addition to the Stroop Waffles which quickly became a family favorite. They are a Dutch treat, cookie filled with melted caramel and made fresh at the store. In addition, there are 2 stores just outside the gates to the left for those things you run out of. The pool is a little smaller than it seems in the photos but very usable. Restaurant wise, we went to Red Fish which is south on the main road 1, to the left as you are driving toward the airport. Great local spot and staff friendly. We also went north to the light house and ate at the Italian restaurant there. Also good. Aruba is much like a desert, the open land is full of cactus. The temps are consistently hot, especially in the morning/afternoon. We noticed that the evening breeze kicked up and if you like to run/exercise, the late afternoon is the best time outside. Humidity dropped then too. We drove to Baby Beach. In our 5's opinion, not worth the drive of the high cost of getting shelter from the sun. Cabana's $40 and chairs $8. The food though at the restaurant was excellent, esp the curry Frank was very helpful and responded to the couple of items that we needed to address right away. A couple items to address, which I didn't bring up would be to get some hotpads for the oven, have dish soap & cloths supplied (all other VRBO's had this when we've stayed about 10 other loc's), keep a better supply of lighters for the gas stove & to not have anti-bacterial soap in the bathrooms, the US is phasing that out & a couple of us in the family have skin issues that arise from the use. We did buy our own soap thereafter. Small items, nothing too pressing other than I was burned twice as a result of no hotpads and trying to use dishtowels

I Rate this property 5 stars! They were great from the moment we checked in. When we first got there are van wasn't ready but they got us a van until ours was ready. Anything we needed they made sure we had! Braum (not sure if I'm spelling this right) was awesome. I only spoke to Frank on phone but he made sure we were taken care of. I highly recommend this place i will definitely stay again!

Frank and greeters were very nice and easy to work with. That being said, we had some complaints which were addressed before departure but I would still like to make sure they are noted and addressed for the next renter. Good location but difficult walk to the beach for older adults, we spent a lot on taxis. Ants on kitchen counter which we had to buy spray for and clean, ants also in some of the bathrooms. Furniture was outdated and uncomfortable. One of the showers backed up every time it was used so it had to be turned on and off while in use. Charged extra $140 for a late check-out (2 hours). Pool guy came in middle of day to do cleaning so we were unable to use the pool in the afternoon. Was told would be charged extra for leaving AC's running so the house was roasting and uncomfortable. We had to purchase our own toilet paper and paper towels along with dish washing liquid. Coffee mugs were chipped. House and property were left cleaner than found but still haven't heard about getting deposit back. I would not stay at Merlott Villa's again when traveling back to Aruba.
