Very clean rental with comfortable beds. Well-stocked kitchen, IF you want to cook (LOL). Responsive manager to any questions. Great view of the Columbia River and passing ships. Lots to do in Astoria including restaurants, shopping, museums, and the Columbia riverwalk.
This rental is a great central location for trips south down the coast and trips across the river into Washington state. We loved our stay!

Needs a lot of updating! Bathroom need MAJOR updating! Sheets need replacing as they were ripped! I won’t recommend this place.

We were in Astoria to escape the heat of Central CA. The location was great & walking distance to the downtown area. In the spirit of full disclosure, it is quite a hill on the return trip! We didn’t mind - it got our steps in, but it is substantial. the view was great and proximity to the sights was great. At the bottom of the hill was the Columbia River Maritime museum as were so many other places to go eat. Deer in the yard even. Loved that!
The residence was fine for a short stay. It is small and a retro space. There were things I know were in my great grandmother’s house! As houses of this period were, it was not spacious. Had we been staying longer than a week the lack of comfy, read a book seating would have become an issue. However for a week, it was fine enough. Same with the kitchen. For a week, we could eat out. For a longer stay, the electric stove and size of the kitchen would have been an issue. The place is good, just don’t expect the more modern conveniences. The bathroom is tiny but consistent with the era. A couple with no kids would be fine in the space. Kids or a 2nd couple would have made this too tight unless it was a second couple who we were besties with because you would need patience to figure out bathroom rotations and shower use. You would be limited on comfort seating. For the price and duration of our stay, it was good. We were happy to have the opportunity to stay. Not in the OMG category but fine for where we wanted to be!

We very much enjoyed staying at this charming and comfortable cottage in Astoria. The view of the Columbia river and large ocean going vessels was great and could be seen on the front deck or out the front window. There was very little traffic and plenty of parking and the neighborhood was pleasant and quiet in the evenings. An added bonus were nearby walking trails through the Pacific rainforest which led up to the Column, a historical landmark.

This was a return visit, and it was just as cozy as our first stay! Very dog friendly and our little pooch enjoyed playing in the yard. Will definitely come back!

Quiet, clean, comfortable, near downtown, deer in the back yard. Perfect. And a very civil noon checkout time. hope to be back

Cozy older home with a view of the bay from the front window. The kitchen was well stocked. I would have liked to have a non-stick frying pan (as opposed to cast iron) although I cooked Thanksgiving dinner here with no problem. The TV really needs to be updated. Couldn't get Amazon or Hula on Roku. The living room furniture is small but we were busy during the day so didn't spend much time indoors. In spite of those issues, we had a nice time and would certainly stay here again.

This house is in a quiet location with a view of the Columbia River. The house has been well used, but the owners have invested in new a furnace, water heater, and washer and dryer. Even though the bathroom was functional, it is in serious need of remodeling.

Nice quiet neighborhood, nice view of the passing ships, we will be coming back and look to see if this property is still available. Enjoyed our stay and Dr. Drew answered all our questions....recommend this property highly.

We loved our stay in the cottage. The views are fabulous and if you are willing to do a little bit of hill walking, almost everything we did was within walking distance from the house - from the restaurants in the town below to the Astoria Column up above.

We enjoyed our stay in this wonderful little house. The beds were comfy and River views are great. We even had a mama deer and two babies stop by. The backyard is secluded - we enjoyed our stay!

Perfect Stay
We have spent a lot of time in Astoria but never up on the hill. Loved staying in a neighborhood away from the main drag and can’t beat the superb views. Covered back porch was a lifesaver when it was raining and drying off our dog. We loved walking the neighborhoods. Beds super comfortable and kitchen well stocked. Furniture in living room could be updated but other than that lovely stay. Would definitely recommend.

Cozy house in a quiet neighborhood
This listing is exactly as described, an older home that is clean, cozy, has super comfortable beds and meticulously maintained landscaping. This location is beautiful as well, perfect views of the Columbia river. We didn’t even have to drive being that we are only half a mile from all the restaurants, shops and bars!

Mother's Day visit with family.
We lived in Astoria for many years, so town and surrounding area are familiar. The house is in a very nice neighborhood and was just what we were hoping for in the way of clean, nice and comfortable, not fancy/ fussy, and reasonably priced. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Only negative(ish)- Don't count on using the outdoor grill. It needs replaced.

House has good bones but….
Quaint little home in beautiful Astoria. The location is perfect. Nice quite street and nice view of the river although obstructed.
The house is small, mid 1940-ish. Bedrooms are nice size for the era. The bathroom is in need of updating. The living room furniture has seen better days and is in need of replacement. Kitchen is small but workable. Again the dinnerware/glasses/silverware are in need of updating. Pots and pans too.
This could be a really nice rental with a few updates.
Note- I gave the property manager a 5 rating although I never heard from them except for welcome email. No concerns so no reason to contact.

Calm and Relaxing
We loved the quaintness of this little house. It's the perfect size for 2 people. The views are amazing and we ending up spending time sitting on the couch with the front door open (there's a nice glass screen) just watching the Columbia River with the boats and occasional Eagle. We even had 3 deer walk through the property.

Nice little house
Cute clean little older home . Perfect for 3 adults and 1 child for 4 nights. The kitchen was nicely equipped including a crock pot. While some may consider it to be a long walk downtown it was ok for us. The view is partially blocked by the house/fence across the street. Very quiet neighborhood with many walkers every day.
Our biggest complaint were the instructions to wash & dry the bedding and towels . (Nothing to be left in the washer). Every other VRBO we've used only requested the bedding & linen to be put in a pile .
Yes we would stay again .

Cozy Cottage
Great little house just above downtown Astoria. Retro charm throughout, and a lovely view of the river! Our dogs were right at home, and my husband and I wished we could have stayed much longer!

Needs TLC
Cute house inspire of being an old home. It’s really lacking in upgrades in any form. I love old houses so it was sad to see it didn’t have updated maintenance. Toilet ran, tub didn’t drain properly, old refrigerator that needed defrosting, floors dirty as were the cabinets in kitchen. On the positive side the owner did pretty good about returning calls. She did have someone come in to clean freezer and cabinet fronts. The house had moss growing on one entire side. A couple days before we left someone power washed the entire outside. Looked so much better. We stayed the whole month of August 2021.

Lovely house, amazing view, incredibly dog friendly
The house has a million dollar view and is cozy and well stocked. Close to everything you want to see in Astoria. We had an issue that necessitated reaching out to Josephine, and she immediately solved the problem and was so easy to work with. Would definitely stay here again.

It was a well kept home in a good location - 10 minute walk to the breweries/downtown Astoria. The view was really nice and I enjoyed learning more about the history of the house. Unfortunately, we were hit with a strong moldy smell as soon as we walked in. The house was clean for the most part, a few old spills near the fridge. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans.Overall, it just wasn’t worth the price. The cleaning fee is 150+. With all the additional fees and cost of the property, we paid 250+ a night. Definitely not worth it. If the price were lower, we would consider staying there again as a way of saving a couple bucks but you can definitely find a nicer stay for 250/night in Astoria.

Small but clean, very nice view
We rented for a total of three nights, found the house to be clean and cozy. The house is on a quieter street with fairly little traffic. The heat was somewhat noisy at night but all in all a nice stay.

Cute, clean cottage in a perfect location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! For a mid-century cottage, it was clean and comfortable. We really appreciated such a pup friendly place, and I cannot emphasize how much we enjoyed the location. Right in the center between downtown and the Astoria Column, we didn’t need to drive anywhere the entire weekend! Lovely view of the river and beautiful walks in every direction. I recommend!

Astoria nest with two hundred dollar view
19th and Irving is too far away from shops and galleries in town. The "million dollar view" turned out to be blocked by the house across the street, leaving a snip of a view to the left and right--more like a two hundred dollar view. Property, while clean with a well-equipped kitchen is a tired and worn property, badly in need of long-overdo maintenance. I would scale up to the next price point and get closer to town next time in Astoria.

Perfect Weekend Cottage
This home has a stunning view of the Columbia River directly across the street! The neighborhood is lovely and peaceful, with wooded areas behind the home. Deer wandered into a nearby garden twice during our stay. It’s not luxurious, but it has everything needed for a relaxing stay in Astoria. Beds were comfortable. Linens clean. Owners were responsive.
