A very quaint cottage feel with very homely touches from the owners. Walking distance to Havelock village. Thanks for a very comfortable stay!

Porch steps too high for 87 year old seniors who are
getting more infirm had hoped there would have been a
ramp available but the photo did not show other end of
verandah.Otherwise a pleasant stay.

Great meeting Malcolm and getting some history of the cottage. He's done an amazing job restoring the cottage and we loved our stay.

Everything was great except for the tiny coffee maker. There was a lot of extra things in the bedroom that perhaps weren’t needed and would have allowed more space to organize if they were removed. Overall, it was super awesome. Malcolm and Anne were very nice and accommodating.

We couldnt be happier with our two moth stay. The Cottage was comfortable and quiet. The hosts were exceptional. We will return to Havelock North to visit family and plan on staying at the lovely cottage and wonderful hosts.

After months of COVID restrictions it was great to spend five nights at this property to recharge our batteries.
Excellent accommodation with the most obliging, generous hosts.

Not what we expected
Lovely restored villa from outside, as per the online photos. However, the bedroom was very small - difficult to get in and out of bed and no where to put bags/cloths other than the living space. We had expected there to be more in the kitchenette (but maybe our fault for not reading the details thoroughly)

Perfect place to kick back and relax
Modernised but retaining its charm and character, in a quiet location with lovely garden but close to the town centre, enjoyed talking with the owners about the property history.

The cottage is beautifully decorated - every thing was so well coordinated and set up to suit the style of the house. The hosts are very kind and helpful. Havelock North is lovely and everyone we met were friendly. A lovely unspoilt part of New Zealand.
