The house was well equipped and very comfortable, with plenty of seating for a larger group. The nearest town was very small and had a nice grocery store, but many places are closed Sun-Wed. Be prepared to either do some cooking or drive longer for a meal. Overall, I had a very enjoyable stay.

We absolutely loved this little schoolhouse cottage! Such a cute and historic remodel, with a nice view of the snow, cozy fireplace, and comfy couch. I especially liked the little school bus painted on the inside of the coffee mugs, and the kids enjoyed drawing on the chalkboard. Thanks for sharing your place with us!

The property is clean and amazing! It is cozy and welcoming and a great choice for a family with children. The cabin is stocked with everything you need from cooking utensils to bedding to board games. There is a fireplace for nighttime family time and s’mores. And a grill for the times you feel like grilling. It is a charming old schoolhouse and personalized in a school setting. We loved it so much we recommended it to our friends. We look forward to spending time here again!

I would like to start by saying this is a very clean house. This is apparent when you first arrive. The level of seclusion is perfect. Just far enough away to get you out into nature, but close enough for any necessities or activities you might like to plan. Tucked away on a nice country road.
The house is well stocked enough to feel like home. The history of the schoolhouse really adds to the charm. My kids and additional guests loved the upstairs with the beautiful pine wood. The downstairs has an excellent and open floor plan to allow for plenty of family time. The sauna is a welcomed extra that helps losen up the sore muscles from the days activities. Like the title says: cozy, clean, fun. My family will be back!

Cute place. It is small, but we were able to fit 2 adults and 5 kids (1 baby). Good for a home base (for us to the Lake George area - about 40 mins away), but don't expect much from the house, the property, or surroundings - I definitely wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for a place to relax in all day. But clean, comfortable, and well stocked - everything we used worked fine. Definitely appreciated the fire pit and firewood.
One negative is that the advertisement was a little misleading. There is air conditioning, but only for the downstairs - the upstairs loft (4 beds) was stifling when we were there so we all had to sleep on the downstairs couches and floor (luckily we brought a blow up mattress). The advertisement should really put a caveat on the A/C claim. Also, of lesser significance, the pictures in the advertisement are a little dated. For example, they show two dining tables - the second has been replaced by a bar-like table which is not as comfortable.
But all in all, we would recommend.

The property was very clean and had everything we needed. The appliances (refrigerator/freezer, stove, microwave) were all newer. Everything we needed for cooking meals. Nice fire pit and a large supply of firewood. The decor was great. A short drive to North Creek, and a reasonable drive to the Lake George area.

Great family spot near Gore
Everything was as advertised. The house is 10-15 minutes to Gore Mountain and was a great home base for our family. Cozy accommodations. The upstairs loft with 4 twin beds would be ideal to sleep kids/teens but is fine for small/average sized adults too. Well stocked kitchen and bathroom, and in-house laundry was a clutch amenity. No issues with check-in or check-out. We would love to have the opportunity to stay again next time we ski Gore.

Schoolhouse Charmer
Lovely little gem nestled in the woods near Gore Mountain and Revolution Rail bikes. Very private and well maintained. All the amenities were there. New towels and bedding, and new comfy living room furniture. It was just my husband and self, but it is well suited for a small family. Give a try! You won't be disappointed. Only gave a 3 star on the communication with property manager because we could not as we had no phone signal. They left very clear instructions on everything though so we had no need to talk with them. Wifi worked great.

Cozy cabin
We stayed here so we could be close to Gore and Garnet Hill skiing. Everything was great. It is a compact space but was perfect for the four of us. The kids loved the original schoolhouse chalkboard. We stayed plenty cozy with the propane fireplace in the living space.

Comfortable, quiet, cozy getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again! The place was cozy, comfortable and serene. We loved the gas fireplace and the sauna. One day it rained all day and we enjoyed staying indoors and keeping warm by the fire. Beautiful places nearby - Indian Lake was awesome to kayak on and hiking Crane Mountain was a highlight of our trip - stunning views at the top, especially during the Fall when all of the leaves are turning. Highly recommend staying here; give yourself enough time to both enjoy the home and also explore the Adirondacks.

Cozy Schoolhouse in the beautiful mountains
What a relaxing time away to relax and unwind! The master bedroom was so cozy with a large window near the bed to look out to the beautiful woods, especially this time of the year. Nights were so peaceful because of the outdoor fires we could enjoy and then indoors while watching a movie or reading after a filling dinner we cooked in the provided crockpot and/or oven. The upstairs bedrooms accommodated our nieces and nephews, where they each had their own bed and space to play a board game on the carpeted floor. Each morning we would brew coffee and walk up the beautiful street to enjoy the views. This spot is perfect to stay to enjoy a quiet environment, but near a local downtown within 15 minutes to do the grocery shopping and grab a cup of coffee at the cafe. Driving distance to Gore to ski or snowboard also. We will be back.

Quiet location - Great place to get away!
We had recently stayed here with my cousins and aunt and uncle and we had a great time. This wouldn't be the first time and I'm certainly hoping won't be the last. The upstairs had more than enough space for all of us plus gave my aunt and uncle their own room! It may just be me but I love staying at a place where I can get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and take some time to unplug and spend quality time with the family and this space certainly does all that. I cannot recommend this enough. Another note, if you like to see the stars at night this is a prime location - light pollution is low in the area and can be a great late night activity.

This place was amazing! I spent a couple of days here with my Aunt and Uncle and we made memories we will never forget. The cottage is beautiful and so cozy. The beds are also very comfortable! The area itself is so beautiful you have no problem getting into relaxation mode as soon as you walk through the door. I also loved finding out that this place was actually an old school house. The original chalkboard is still in the cottage! I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone! It was wonderful and the cottage and area is so beautiful.

Great place, we have been here before.
This is our 3rd time staying here. We were very happy to see the kitchen was redone and a sauna added to the bedroom since our last stay. The sauna was a great new feature after a long say walking around in Warrensburg. We are looking forward to returning . Always a pleasure to stay at any of the owners houses. Beautiful Cabin
The cabin was beautiful and charming and would be great for a family with children, however for two grown adults it is not ideal. It was a little smaller than the pictures let on, and going up those narrow stairs for an adult was a bit tricky during the day so imagine going down at night. I ended up sleeping on the couch, which was amazingly comfortable.
We would have liked to open up the windows to let the fresh mountain air in but there was only a screen in the bedroom window.
Although the cabin was very clean and comfortable, unfortunately the outside was a little wanting. I would have liked to sit outside but the spider webs were out of control so I couldn't use the firewood or chairs to sit by a fire.
The cabin is very remote, but sits nicely between Lake George and Fort Ticonderoga.
It worked nicely for us.

Absolutely cute and pleasant.
We stayed for three nights, the place is very nicely decorated. All the kitchen appliances are updated and clean. As well as the rest of the home. Very cozy and comfortable. The front porch was great for having morning coffee and enjoyable to sit outside at night to watch the fireflies and great for star gazing. I would definitely recommend this rental property.

This cabin is perfect for a weekend getaway. The kitchen was great for cooking, the living room could not have been cozier, and the bedrooms were perfect for two couples or a family. Only suggestion is to have salt, pepper, and cooking oil on-site.

This adorable cottage style 2 bedroom home was clean and comfy. It was perfect for the 2 of us. It had all the necessary amenities in the kitchen and baths. It was a good option to renting a hotel room.
The owners were easy to get in touch with and accommodating. We did lose power from the snow storm one night and we were easily comfortable by the fireplace for heat and light. I would recommend for sure!

Wonderful ski house
We have stayed at this house twice now and will certainly return. The interior of this schoolhouse has been renovated and is charming. It is only a few miles from Gore Mountain which makes the skiing experience all the better, The owners have two other rental properties in the area and my family has been renting from them for the last 5 years. They have never been anything less than over-accommodating at all times. We highly recommend this rental.
